Your right. Even if the description says 1.8, it might not be. Thanks for the info.

You can make a 1.8 profile with Forge, but when you run any other mods, it crashes. I just tried it again.

Trying to run 1.8 with mods still crashes. I'm hoping they fix this soon.

You forgot something.

When you download doesn't matter. Once you create the Profile, run it once, then put the mods into the mods folder.

Forge and Fabric are separate APIs. They are not compatible with each other Use separate Game Directory folders for each when making Profiles.

Its pointing to Not Enough Crashes. The easiest thing would be to remove that mod.

Why not both? IMHO, Forge will always dominate MC modding. Fabric and the other APIs were created for 1.13/1.14 when Forge development was delayed.
You can play any version of MC you want. Just make sure to make separate Game Directory folders for each version.

A couple reasons a mod doesn't show up:
1. Not in the mods folder
2. Different version than MC and Forge
3. The Profile settings not using Forge
Once you install a version of Forge, there is no reason to delete it. If you need a different version, you just install it and select it in the Profile settings.
Once you install Forge, make a test world first without mods. Forge will create the extra folders you need, including the mods folder. Now add the mods to the folder and make a new world.

First, did you check if you need permission to modify another's mod? Or maybe ask the mod author if they can update it?

The crash report tells you what's wrong and how to fix it:
You have a double version of the same space station, station for planet ID: -31 You will most likely fix this by checking out compatibility

You'll have to ask your bank that question.

You posted the config folder, not the mods folder.

Post the crash report. Crash reports are found in the crash-reports folder under the .minecraft folder.

Erebus can not use biome ID 100 because it's being used by biomesoplenty.common.biome.overworld.ocean.BiomeGenKelpForest@301b9fa. Please choose a different one
Erebus and Biomes 'O Plenty are sharing a biome ID. Check the Erebus config file and change the biome's ID to a different number.

No version of MC needs 12G of allocated memory. Java DOES NOT handle large amounts of memory effectively. That is the message the others are trying to tell you.
Also, NEVER allocate more than half the PC's system RAM to MC. If you have, that also contributes to the problem.

You can use a lower version of Forge, but it might cause problems with other mods if those mods require a higher version of Forge, kind a Catch-22.
Suggestion: make a new Profile with the version of Forge for the furniture mod. Then add the other mods you want one at a time to see if they work with that version of Forge. You can also try lower versions of the mods too.
