MIght be. I used the same seed for both, and moved out about 1000 blocks. In that time, with large biomes I only saw 2 Biomes. Jungle and Swamp. I sampled Forest, Plains, Jungle, Desert and Ocean in the original seed. Seed I used was SEED on both.

Oh, brilliant idea. I never thought of that. I was able to find the NEI one that I think is for 1.3.2. I am going to try the one prior to the one whose change log says "Updated to 1.4" :)

Unfortunately the change log for the WR only mentions an update to 1.2 and none for 1.3 or 1.4. And I can't seem to find a change log for Core. Might you have any idea of where I could find a ReadMe or change logs for either of those. I tried to do some searching on this thread or the forums and google but a lot of people use these mods and so it is a lot to dig through.

It is indeed. I didn't realize there wasn't a changelog for core. As I understand it, WR is dependent on RedPower 2, which hasn't updated either, so that's possibly why you can't find WR. There is another version of it:

    http://www.minecraft...s-redstone-v16/

It's much less expensive to craft with, but has less options as well. Older versions support 1.3.2 and even the current release if you so choose.

Also, looking at a few "How to Install" videos on youtube for 1.3.2 are showing that CCC 0.6.4 is compatible with NEI 1.4.0.4 and CCC 0.6.5 is compatible with NEI 1.4.0.5

Hello. Can someone please help me. I am a bit confused as to what to install.

I want to play with some of the mods that are only up to 1.3.2 minecraft and not yet 1.4.2 so I am using the older version. I went to the page in the link in the op for "Older Version" and I don't know what any of them are. I mean like I know what NEI and the Core one and the WR ones are, but I don't know what the numbers for each release means as far as working with either 1.4.2 or 1.3.2 or if they may even be for 1.2.5? All the numbers seem so different and I am completely at a loss to which ones to use.

Check the changelog for each mod you want to install. For instance, if you open the spoiler for NEI, and then the spoiler labeled changelog, you'll see that NEI ver. 1.4 is 1.3.2

I wish you would have never continued to update the ender stroage mod. You have made it completely useless by not only removing the default ender chest but also forcing it to only have a 3x3 storage size. This not only ruins the usefulness but also screws over servers. I will no long be using this sad excuse of what you would call a more "balanced" mod. I find that the default chest plus the updated backpack mod work better then this sadly updated garbage.

Useless? I've got nearly infinite storage space when I mine thanks to this mod. Set up a sorting system using Buildcraft 3, and use an enderchest as the inventory items are filtered from. Link an enderbag to the enderchest.

Mine ores -> Place in linked enderbag -> Items get pulled from Enderchest and filtered through Buildcraft Diamond Pipes

    TaDa!

    Hardly useless.

EDIT:: Makes a great replacement for Teleport Pipes too.

technically, i am using the forge ore dictionary, i set up BOD to take all the ores forge tries to generate. this is how BOD can now use metadata IDs. but i dont want BOD to be forge dependant, so i set it up as such

That's pretty cool. Thanks for the awesome mod. :D

Have you considered using forge for this interesting mod? Just imagine what could be accomplished with the forge ore dictionary...

posted a message on Why the heck are teachers using Minecraft in school?!
So, what some of you are saying, is that despite the modding community out there, that there is no tangible benefit to learning something that has been moded into the game specifically to teach a specific concept for a specific class, in a virtual world where the consequences of failing the assignment could be drastically less dire or problematic then attempting it in real life.

Look, Minecraft has had so many modifications thrown at it, that it can easily become a different game if you want it too. There's no educational benefit to that? Stop thinking about how the game is in it's current state, and start thinking about what you could modify the game to teach. If you can't do that, then you should probably consider playing the game more yourself as it BLEEDS creativity from every crevice.

As far as the price goes, Math please. The game costs $26.95 USD to buy it for yourself or gift it to someone. This is selling at $18 USD per a license, and better yet, if you buy it in a 25 license bundle, you're only spending $13.50 USD a copy. I wish I'd gotten my copy at $13.50.

    This thread is ridiculous..

In most cases, unless you are actively (read: Constantly) scanning https://twitter.com/4JStudios to see if it's been made ready for release, you'll know when you turn on your X-Box and start up minecraft. That's as close to the truth as I'm afraid you're going to get.

Interestingly enough, I can't find any of the enderchest stuff in the creative mode menu either, but the crafting recipes still work.

posted a message on Will Minecraft Xbox ever catch up the PC version ? Will it go up to 1.4 or more ? Or always be behind ?
Technically, 360'll never catch up to PC. There's going to be a point where they diverge and 360 will become a separate entity. My guess is this will happen when most of the major mechanics have been fully implemented.

posted a message on World Generation question.
I was under the impression that, since the console world was so small, it was all generated at the time you entered the game. I'd be surprised if you could see any of the new terrain features in an old save on console.
