    posted a message on Xbox one notification relocation
    I've noticed that every time a favorite (on my friend list) comes online the notification bar covers my hotbar. This has almost gotten me killed a few times while needing to switch over to a sword to kill something or to blocks to stop lava flow, as I can't see the items I'm trying to get at. Almost every other game I've ever played on 360 or One has the notifications set to pop up somewhere non invasive to gameplay. Is there a chance of this being updated?

    Not sure if it's a glitch or what, but if I mine a block made out of 2 nether brick half slabs on top of each other with my silk touch pickaxe I get one nether brick half slab back, and if I use my normal pickaxe I get both back.

    Yeah, I would've rathered to have the blocks turn 100% transparent in the black areas but I think if I use transparency there it just shows the block underneath instead of making the block transparent in those areas, I'll try it out though thanks for the input

    I started work on this pack a couple days ago, it's inspired by Tron and The Matrix and other digital worlds in media. So far I've only got the breaking animation done but the main color theme in this pack will be black and green. I also plan on animating a lot of the textures (other than lava/water/portal). I'm still thinking about what to name the pack but I'm open to suggestions. Let me know what you think

    Hey man, I built this but it only sent me up about 30 blocks. Does it work in multiplayer?

    EDIT:

    I built mine with the loading area made of obsidian and the blocks the pistons move made of stone when it took me up about 30 blocks, when I went and changed the obsidian to stone, the cannon sent me up about 40-50 blocks.

    When I changed the stone to cobblestone it launches me up about 60 blocks most of the time, but sometimes it doesnt send me straight up and instead into the bottom of the receiving platform. Is there something I'm missing?

    I faintly remember something like that too, that's one of the videos I thought of when trying to figure out a way to make this work. At first I was thinking of using stacked pistons to raise the sand, but the height is limited with those and the difficulty of the circuit climbs with the height. I`ll go looking for some of those auto tree farm videos to see if they have a tutorial for this kind of mechanism when I get up, I`ve been minecrafting all night again (one..more..block...)

    Alright guys, I've got a redstone/piston question. I'm building an elevator and what I'd like is for a single column of sand or gravel to be pushed up in a vertical stack 10 blocks above ground and then to retract. The way I figure I'd do this is to have a couple pistons stack the sand up from a "sand reservoir". I've seen a couple videos that use this, a stack of sand is moved block by block by pistons from the bottom to form a stack beside it. Instead of having the sand reservoir beside the elevator stack vertical though, what I'll need is a way to make that sand reservoir stack horizontal and underground. It'll be easy enough to wire up the button to each height, but how can I make the button send a signal to make the pistons stack 10 blocks, then retract 10 blocks with one press? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any help is greatly appreciated

    Hey guys, I've just spent the past 2 hours combing through posts after searching for every variation of "hidden rising stairs" I could think of to no avail, all I've seen are hidden descending staircases. The guy in the video below has built a fully retractable staircase that can be hidden flush with the ground with no exposed wires. I'd like to know if I'd be able to get a 2x2 platform to rise like the last step, with an activation and deactivation button at each end, and if so, how? Thanks for any help.

    It might be different now but when I was trying to edit textures a while ago if I tried to apply translucency to a block other than ice it'd come out in game as a solid color

    Is it possible to get a block transparent other than glass? What I mean is to make cobble or mossy a black tinted glass, as to reflect the transperancy of "the grid". Would that be possible?


    I could be wrong, but I think the only blocks that support partial transparency are glass and ice.

    As far as I know the hexagon patterns can be done in GIMP using the filter "Mosaic" and fooling around with the settings.
