If you could get fortune 3 from 5 experience, it would definately be over powered. However, like LegendofMewtwo said, the chance of actually enchanting a pickaxe with fortune is unlikely. Thirty levels of experience can take a while if you don't have a mob grinder etc, which is why I don't feel it is over powered. Also, to make the crafting table itself, you need two diamonds, four obsidian and a book - all can be relatively hard to get (if you don't have cows nearby, etc).
I think that the difficulty of trying to get to level 30 and getting the actual crafting table balances the fortune enchantment out, but that's just my opinion.
I agree with CeruleanNutter...to a certain extent. I don't agree with their harshness (if that's a word) but I also do not agree with compact gravel. First its compact gravel, then cobblestone, then dirt, then wood etc. Having gravel take up space makes managing your inventory more important. Besides, if you have too much gravel, no one's stopping you from throwing it away or storing it.

Now on to the topic. Not only is the weather generally a pain, but having a tornado devastate your creations whilst causing major lag is not what most players want. Seasons is a good idea, I like it, but more weather, worse than before is going to be intolerable. Having lightning that blinds players could leave Mojang with a lawsuit. There is already /toggle downfall and /weather clear etc and I actually like the lightning's appearance. The thought seems like a good idea, but it doesn't seem thought out. The weather types your suggesting only spells lag and destruction. You do not have my support.
No. This is like saying 'Let's plant golden apples!' They are both hard to get for a reason, and making them plantable makes gold and carrots that much more useless. Maybe if you planted a carrot then right clicked it with a gold block (having a chance of dropping 1 - 4 gold carrots) that would balance it out better.
Falling in lava. Twice. In the same place. With Silk touch pickaxe, full enchanted diamond armour and other loot both times. Both were due to releasing shift twice. (love3509 tried to swim in lava. Again)
Getting shot by a skeleton while farming, only to realise at half a heart. (love3509 was shot by a skeleton)
Placing tnt everywhere and stepping on one by accident. (love3509 was blown up)
Sister typing /gamemode 0 love3509 while I'm working on my parkour map (love3509 fell from a high place)
Gold is relatively useless, and with no chance of getting iron, diamonds, coal etc, I think I'll go explore a cave..or spawn an iron golem in the Nether. If I want fun, I'll blow up some creepers with tnt.
I think I made half a stack on a survival world once. I just placed them around the place with a pressure plate on top because I was bored. Other than that, I have better uses for sand and creepers seem to blow up right before I kill them (that, and I've never gone searching solely for creepers).
Very nice journal. I adore your style of writing, and your house looks amazing. Sadly, I couldn't see half the pictures (my computer, as fast as a rock).
You use them for redstone related builds etc. You might also want to use the slimeballs to make leashes though. For a good crafting guide go to http://www.minecraft-crafting.net/ if you don't want to go to a random website, leads take 4 string, 1 slimeball.
S = String
B = Slime ball:
S S
S B
____S
Peaceful: Plain Noob
Easy: Average Joe
Normal: Pretty good, slightly above average
Hard: Then you get to the pro level, if you want to go there. (Don't Rage)
Easy /gamerule NatrualRegeneration False: Known as UHC, if you can find diamonds without dieing, then you know for sure you are one of the best.
Normal /gamerule NatrualRegeneration False=:Better than 97 percent of minecrafters, trust me.
Hard /gamerule NatrualRegeneration False: Better than 99.5 percent MC players. you need to know lots of things, Like how AI works, what falls you can take, when to sprint, etc.
So, back to your question. Peacful is for noobs, easy is average. For skill of minecraters, its not "Are you pro or noob?" It's a level of things, like shown in my list up above.
Okay, so your saying if someone makes the whitehouse 1 block = 1 metre but it was made in survival on peaceful, they're the noob? Stop judging a person on what difficulty they play. Its like saying everyone who goes on creative is a noob - its an unfair generalisation.
