This is just speculation on my part but it kinda makes sense: Maybe the reason that iron above sea level more frequently(for buckets) and lava pools on the surface have started appearing is to make it easier for people to construct Nether portals more early on in the game. I know there was alot of complaints about needing to dig all the way to diamond to harvest obsidian to make a portal way back when it was new. (I tried to explain the "make a cast and pour the mold" techinique, which is what I'm refering to above) Then it became an issue of people complaining about how deep you had to go to get lava, so maybe this is for that reason, just speculating .(also to anyone who hadn't thought of that, there you go.)
Are those people stupid? Lol. I make long, narrow, safe, and lit tunnels to the lava layer within 30 minutes, depending on my picks. Obsidian is easy to create and mine, just time consuming, which is why you get a buddy to help you, or use TNT.
Me: Do you play minecraft?
CB: Sometimes. Do you?
Me: Yeah, I love to play minecraft. What is your favorite part of it?
CB: I like the fact that it has slow-motion kills. (What the hell?)
Me: When did notch add that?
CB: When did this website originate?
Me: Notch isn't a website, he's a person!
CB: No. You even have a body.
Me: My body is cubelike in shape because I live in minecraftia.
CB: (Something about "microsnot")
Me: Ok, bye then...
Thanks to a trail of similar posts I followed, apparently Java does not like it if you're user name on the computer has odd symbols of any sort, even though Windows allows it. To fix, I simply created a new user, name it Minecraft, and it was able to work just fine. Hooray!
My friend has this bug, but his username is all in lowercase letters... Please help!
A bucket of lava would probably work better than dynamite. Unlike dynamite, you can pick the spring block up again. But wait, there's more! Lava also lights up dark areas for you without consuming any torches.
Yeah, except it will burn the wooden chest in the dungeon...
Last time I checked lava doesn't do that. Of course, TNT would destroy them as well.
Yes it does. I learned that the hard way when a creeper destroyed my glass lava globe near my wooden house :sad.gif:
EDIT: Nevermind, I don't know what I'm talking about...
