espeically scince the second one, bf4, is heavily cpu dependent, and less gpu dependent, not sure about the first one though

How does that make sense? Why have they ever made 10000 and 15000 RPM HDDs? They don't sell well at all, yet they're still being sold? If the companies knew what they were doing, they wouldn't make expensive products that don't sell and have no advantage over cheaper versions?

Also, even so, he DID pay regular price for a slower drive, which is pretty much nonsense any way you look at it. If anything, he can just sell it and use the small profit left after buying a new HDD to get something else.

And please, if you choose to reply, kindly do so with less, well, ego.

because its a company? most people dont understand, and think that higher numbers mean more speed, so they buy them, which in turn, gives the company more money (even though, currently hdd's dont go over SATA 1 max speed of 150MB/s ssd's are really the only thing that actually can get higher speeds to use SATA 2 and SATA 3) but yeah, people who know there stuff, will know that there's actually no diff

Well yes but the iMac is as powerful as a desktop , although overpriced (like all Apple products).

well, compared to most other prebuilts, yes, it is as powerful as a desktop, compared to the normal desktop equvilent of those specs (so gtx 660, (if he told us the cpu model, the desktop equiv of that) and 8gb of ram, the actual desktop, with the desktop version of the sepcs, would be Faster

~70 on flat, ~120 with optifine.

this is all horrible advice, no, that laptop is not particually good, it would be cheaper, as well as you would get more performance, if you built a desktop

I wouldn't call that idiotic, hd 2500 is pretty underpowered and most people have bloat and don't get close to 200 fps with gpus much more powerful than hd 2500

my point still stands though, they refuse to belive it would ever be able to, AT ALL, no matter how much bloat you have

EDIT: why does everyone think the intel hd 2500 is so underpowerd, I GET 45+ fps in gta iv on lowest settings, scince when is THAT, underpowerd

sorry for bump, people have become idiots again, are now saying there there's no way the intel hd 2500 can get 200+ fps in minecraft, even though an intel hd 2000 can easily get 200+ fps

here's the post after finding a picture proving that the intel hd 2000 can get 200+ fps:

    Quote from SixSixSevenSeven »
I'll throw the inability to click links thing back at you with an inability to read. A) Those claims he makes are entirely unsubstantiated beyond 1 screenshot, I am yet to see anyone duplicate those results. B) My dedicated card on my *desktop* cannot hit 200FPS.

Minecraft is not a nicely optimised game like GTA4 or saints row 3 or watch dogs. Its hideously optimised and running in the JVM (also the reason why it runs differently on different PC's regardless of spec, thanks to people not always updating java to the same level or people being idiot morons running it in 32 bit java on 64 bit windows) instead of native code, LWJGL isn't the best optimised library either.

I'm pretty sure that you will find more people able to prove that guy and his single screenshot wrong than right.

But hey, I'm just a computer programmer, I know nothing about computers and havent got a clue what I am on about. No, you hate me, I get that, its the internet, I don't care

If you're not familiar with 6 year olds, they like to go REALLY, REALLY fast

then you have a poopy pc, chrome has never, ever, ever, ever, ever crashed for me, blocks all security threats (in conjuction with noscript, adblock, and my anti-virus's if anything gets past chrome)

personally, i say chrome, opens instantly (most of the time), while firefox takes a few seconds to open up, chrome also tends to have faster website loading time for me, and ie? i use it for school, as my school is evil, and has 0% support for firefox and chrome

EDIT: just watched the video, he has bloatware or something, chrome opens WAY, WAY, faster then that, it literally takes a millasecond

No, it isn't a hard drive failure. The computer can still start without a hard drive, it would give you an error about having no operating system, not restart.

yes it is, ive already tried it with a new hdd, and re-installed windows, booted up perfectly :D
