    Quote from Craft4325

It can get boring in single player because of grinding and the only goal other than building is slaying the worst final boss ever. But in multi-player I've almost never gotten bored on a good server which are hard to find, but what you posted at the top didn't give any information at all as to why you're bored with the game maybe you need to go outside and stop playing for once.

Yes! That part about the goal! Once they added the ender dragon, abandoned mineshafts, strongholds, villages, I think the game got alot worse and alot more boring! It used to be a feeling of a calm loneliness and the game felt endless, and I would never get bored, but after they added all this, it just became much worse. The almost unique feeling of loneliness in minecraft instantly went away, everything became easier, and worst of all, once you actually beat the dragon, you feel like "...now what?" That's why it's getting boring. And also like Craft said, if you find a good server, with good members who you can become good friends with, you will never get bored!

You mentioned that you had updated drivers, can you just check for me to make sure that Java is updated?

Try playing around with the Nvidia Control Panel, and seeing if it changes anything. Also try to give Minecraft more RAM. It might be running low.

Tried all of those, same thing, getting amazing fps on good graphics, but after a few minutes of heating the fps dies.

posted a message on Minecraft lags on my Gaming PC AGAIN?, any suggestions?
A few months ago when I first had this gaming PC, I was testing all my games, and EVERYTHING ran amazing on highest settings, when I tested minecraft everything worked great on absolute highest settings, but after 5, 10 minutes of playing I got this horrible lag which took me down to about 1 frame every 2 or 3 seconds, and changing the settings didn't solve the problem! It was reccomended that I turn advanced OpenGL on, so I did, and that fixed it...temporarily...after about another 30 minutes of playing the lag came back!

    Any suggestions?
Here's a spoiler of my original topic...

I recently built my new gaming PC, and minecraft was not my first benchmark test. The other things I tested (all on max graphics) all preformed AMAZING, absolutley no lag at all. Specs if you're interested:

CPU: Intel Ivy Bridge Core i5-3570K, @3.40GHz
    Power Supply: Cosair TX650M *650Watt*
    Memory/RAM: Cosair Vengeance 16GB @1666MHz
Hard Drive: 1TB 7200RPM Spindel Hard Drive
Video Card/GPU: EVGA Superclocked nVidia GTX 660Tí, 2GB Memory, 192-bit, approx. 1000MHz core clock.
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Monitor: Samsung 1920x1080 24" LCD Monitor, 16:9 Ratio

(NOTE: I DO have AntiVirus, updated Drivers, etc)

So far, on all highest settings, the games I have tested are
Civilization 5, ran very well with no lag whatsoever, also, the parts did not overheat
Team Fortress 2, same situation as above
    Terraria, same situation as above
Age of Empires 3, same situation as above

Now I will explain my situation in greater depth. I ran minecraft on highest settings, and I am usually getting around 60 FPS in singleplayer, since I have FPS limiting on. No internal server lag either. Then, I went onto my favourite server, and the FPS was fine, until I looked up, NOTE, there ARE large buildings on the server, it is not just wilderness. So I was fine, until I moved around, suddenly I dropped to about 1 frame every 2 seconds, and it never got better until I went back to the menu, where my FPS was restored. Here is where I decided to try downloading optifine to fix it, I went to singleplayer first, 130FPS on highest settings (Vanilla highest), multiplayer, same thing, 1 frame per 2 seconds. I figured until I fixed the lag I could still play singleplayer, so I got one of my favourite mods, Tale of Kingdoms, fired up a world, and when I got close the the guild (If you don't know how the mod works, a HUGE building called the guild spawns) and I got the SAME thing. If anyone has any suggestions about how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Dang it i've been trying for so long to get the creators attention!

YOU NEED TO FIX THE WORLD CLIPPING BUG! The mod is sooooooo good but that bug ruins it and makes the mod useless, because NO ONE wants that ugly terrain of world clipping, and it completely ruins the world!

You still need to fix the error where the world will clip after every reloading of the world...makes the mod pretty much useless.

One more thing, you NEED to fix that bug that the world does not continuously load if you exit out of your save and then rejoin! It's so annoying!

Hey, I love this mod, but I have 1 suggestion to make, which someone may have already made.

Add ExtraBiomesXL and also Biomes'O'Plenty support!

Lots of people use ExtraBiomesXL already, and I mean ALOT of people, but it does have some ugly biomes! (It does have a config, but it would be nice to do things in game)

And this is even more important than ExtraBiomesXL, Biomes'O'Plenty support is NEEDED, that mod is the greatest mod for adding biomes, but in the SIXTY biomes it adds, it does have it's fair share of "ugly" biomes, and the developer refuses to add a config!

Great mod, I love it, and I hope it NEVER is discontinued!

I respect your hard work on this mod and I love most of the biomes, but what I don't understand (Yes, I've read the FAQ!) why do you refuse to put a config or something so we can disable some biomes? I want this mod so bad but I don't want to be subjected to lots of walking time just so I can get by an ugly wasteland or any of the other (very few) ugly biomes. Think about it, 60 biomes + the vanilla biomes, that makes over 70 biomes, and what if I want to find a specific one, I could be walking for a very long time!

Overall I really think the mod looks great but that lack of customization really takes away from the mod.

I don't think it would work, you would need at least 1 sapling to get a renewable resource of wood.
