    posted a message on Recipe JSONs Not Working In Game

    So I have been updating my mod to 1.12 which means I've been updating recipes to 1.12.

    In eclipse the recipes work when I run the game, but when I compile the mod and run it in on the regular launcher the recipes no longer work.

    Any ideas?

    Edit: In case the forge version has anything to do with it, I'm using 14.21.0.2334.

    Example recipe json:

    {
    "result": {
    "item": "tse:brightflame_axe"
    },
    "pattern": [
    "xx ",
    "xy ",
    " y "
    ],
    "type": "minecraft:crafting_shaped",
    "key": {
    "x": {
    "item": "tse:brightflame_ingot"
    },
    "y": {
    "item": "tse:mystic_stick"
    }
    }
    }

    posted a message on Minecraft Crash

    (So this crash has happened the same with and without mods)

    I don't know what is causing this crash. When I am creating mods in the Eclipse environment I can run Minecraft Fine. When I try to run the actual minecraft it always crashes upon loadin a world.

    posted a message on Tool JSON Files

    So in my mod I have several tools. When I view these tools in 3rd person they register like regular items. Does anyone have an example json file that I can look at to see what I need to change?

    posted a message on Problem with Axes and Tool Materials

    So when I define an axe, with the most recent, recommended version of forge, the game crashes (crash report below)

    I've narrowed this down to the tool material (custom, also below).

    So this ONLY happens with axes, not any other tools. I've also noticed that using a tool material from vanilla does not create a bug.

    Any ideas?

    Yeah idk what happened, might just be a bad computer. I ran everything like it should have, and for an old one I was able to look at them. Who knows. Thx for the model though.

    Edit: That really is so much simpler.

    Was something changed with how jsons work in 1.9? When I create items they are shown as giant when dropped and not rendering correctly when held. They worked perfectly in 1.8.

    posted a message on Crafting recipe madness???

    Okay. You received a lovely NullPointerException. (If you are unfamiliar with what a null pointer exception is: it is a error that happens when you are calling something that does not exist.) The easiest way that this probably happened is that where you register your recipes (at com.sapfiremc.Main.MainRegistery.PreLoad(MainRegistery.java:24)) You are registering your recipes before you are registering your items. Make sure that recipes is on of the last things being registered.

    If that doesn't work make sure all of your items are registered properly.
