posted a message on Scariest game you ever played?
The only game I've put off due to it being too tense was System Shock 2. I've played the vast majority of the games in this thread and you are mostly weenises. Half-Life 1-2? Jesus Christ. Those are action games. Doom 1-2, the same, Dead Space 2, same, Dead Space 1 is basically System Shock 2 but with predictable monster closets instead of lurking enemies, Amnesia is Clock Tower but with an inferior explanation as to why you're such a wuss, I could go on. Although most of you are probably 13 so it's not surprising.

posted a message on Is Amnesia scarier than
The game is not scary; it's basically an adventure game with an annoying survival horror mechanic tacked on with an awful explanation. Basically the entire game is the Shalebridge Cradle from Thief: Deadly Shadows.

    Quote from biomatter

Ok, I've read through the first three pages of this thread, but nobody has said what the new numbers are and the Wiki does NOT mention any changes to the strength of armor. Can someone tell me what the new numbers are?

There aren't any new numbers, Jeb didn't change ****, it's just mass hysteria and people making idiots of themselves as usual

unless someone wants to prove me wrong?

I just ate a creeper to the face on hardcore in full iron and took no more than half a heart of damage. Durability went from full to full green bar.

Ha ha I remember that post now. Thanks for the official patch, notch! Everything's fixed now!

    Quote from Homem Pigman

Bugs don't matter. Every game has them.

But while "Notch released Minecraft full of bugs" is irrelevant, "Notch released what still seems like a Beta game" is correct.

    you are shitting me

Also, the game never left alpha, lettuce be honest here

posted a message on What is your opinion on oceans?
I like them because the old algorithm didn't look very natural, and having ocean biomes helps building ocean-related structures like oil rigs, underwater complexes etc.

They need to have more detail though, like visible fish, coral, and so forth

If you care about story at all (and continuity in the game is fairly important) you had better start in the first one, although yes, most people consider it more **** compared to the second.

Again, please read all of the OPs post. He does mention how they are not giving us enough new content, read between the lines. I wasn't arguing over the unfinished crap, and even if I was, it doesn't mean that I'm right and he's wrong, it was my opinion is all.

I read all of his post. He pointed out that Mojang is not spending enough resources on their flagship title. You said, despite pointing out that tons of people are saying this, that it's somehow his fault for not making the most of Minecraft, as if there are no objective flaws with the game. This is false - the game is still incomplete. How is that his fault? It isn't. In my "opinion" your opinion is sophomoric and you should think about what you and Mojang have to gain from you holding it.

    Quote from Globagoz

This thread has been funny. The reason why development has slowed down for the time being is that Jeb is currently the only Minecraft developer, and even he hasn't been able to spend that much time on it because of Cobalt. End of story.

Yes, that is the point. But Mojang is merely publishing Cobalt, so why is Jeb (the assigned Minecraft lead) "spending time" on it?

The reason development has slowed down is because there is no incentive to continue, thanks to patsies who will probably continue to buy Mojang products even though they've never pushed a final game to market.

Let us also not forget that Steve can stuff more than 13x13x13 meters of material into his pants pockets - enough material to build a fairly large house.
