I didnt vote for a new mob but if I did I would have voted for the Iceologer over the rest because unlike the rest of the mobs we already had a good idea what the Iceloger would bring to the game. Now I personally would have loved to see a hostile mob that can float/walk on water and climb up cliffs because for me that would be a smart choice to make for a new mob design for a Cave and Cliff update.

Now here comes the rant. At the end of the day It should have been obvious what is going to happen with the glow squid after all we all have already seen it happen once before. Which brings me to my next question, What kind of unique game play will the Glow Squid going to bring to the game, glow in the dark ink? For me the writing is on the wall, the Glow squid will not live up to the hype and is going to be to cumbersome to bring any actual fun improvement to the game and everyone will see how once again the Dev Team will force themselves to create some kind of mandatory item/mechanic that will be central around the glow squid for it not to be seen as a insignificant assets to the game just like what they did with the Phantom. Now will the glow squid be a phantom 2.0 well that is not for me to decide, the player who actually play and love this game will look back and decide that themselve

Other then that if it wasnt obvious before what is happening in this game it should be obvious now, There are people who only have eyes to see Minecraft as a giant money making machine and when that flow of money is gone so too will the same thing will happen to them. Dont let these Social Media Influncers ruin another game, stop watching their content. they're using you to make money while tarnishing the game with their terrible decisions and unoriginal content.

These social Media influncers are the kinds of people that would love to influence everyone that somehow everyone voted for a Dirt Hut over a Giant Pyramid for a New Generated Structure to be added to Minecraft if it meant that millions of dollars can be made off controversy that came out from such a decision form the views and clicks which is that the kind of game their playing to play you the viewer to buy into their insane reality.

Whew, I'm glad I didn't need anyone to influence my vote.

Don't you think that first part is wrong though? That we knew more about the iceologer than the other two (Almost like they wanted everyone to vote iceologer anyway?) I'm sure Ptolemy2002 will bring up with how they were already in Minecraft Earth, because of course we all have every version of Minecraft, but that falls on the devs during the came pain for only saying so much about the moobloom and even less about the glows quid in comparison.

I did end up having to try and look up Minecraft Earth videos for each of those mobs before voting , especially the iceologer; but it's still in pretty poor judgement of the devs IMO with being so vague about the other two reguardless. In the end, there's so much content with the new caves and cliffs coming isn't about time we just accepted the loss and look forward to what's coming without all this "Rigging" and "re-vote" nonsense.

Everyone had free will and their own choice, no matter what any content creator (Dream, Mr Beast or any of the others) may have said. Only salty players are claiming it was rigged.

Exploring is a part of regular minecraft as mining, building or redstone etc. You're talking like there isn't enough content as there is, for that though something like a survival+ would be better. Think how many temples, ruins we have now, shipwrecks, raids, trading gold in the nether for random stuff.

Of course iceologer will sound better when they've said the most about it little to diddly squat about the other two in comparison. For that reason I really hope iceologer doesn't win so people don't fall for Mojang's plans.

It's still a re-texture of a trader, just one that does a special attack unlike said Trader. It doesn't change the fact. The point is, alot on discord are using the weak excuse the other two are just a retextures (What they look like over what they do) as a negative which doesn't change the fact the iceologer's physical appearance is also a retexture as well. Having it hostile doesn't alter whether it's a re-skin or not.

I hope that explained it as I've re-read it and changed it 5 times now!

They're all retextures Ptolemy2002, so your point is moot. Just because the iceologer has a nice little coat on, doesn't mean he's not a re-skin also.

Of course they have made the iceologer the most interesting (It's not like Mojang are trying to sway votes or anything) compared to the other two, so everyone's just going to vote for the pilager in droves, Calling it now.

On my main survival world of 10 years:

I began laying the last "basic birch" floor on the final apartment at the Chunk Plaza Hotel (At the Chunk Plaza Development) and will finally be able to start doing interiors soon. At the other end of the Chunk Plaza Development in the small apartment block I've been farming trees to get all the corridor floors done.

Meanwhile the plans to start an international dock in this area also have moved closer to home, right near home in fact by the light house.

Whilst doing this I've also decided to go ahead with the modifications to the lighthouse. Just like the main homestead, If anyone wanted to see it in default I'd have to change the default "White terracotta" (Which is pink by default) to white concrete. I'm also adding a couple of floors to make the light house a bit taller.

    change...

I'll also be adding a bit of a gradient into the older lower red terracotta with red concrete. An extension of the boardwalk will also continue on the other side of the well to the lighthouse and may/may not connect with the one on the other side by the lamppost. (That short boardwalk to the oriental garden also needs updating eo like the main boardwalk with the depth.)

posted a message on Which version(s) of Minecraft do you have the most nostalgia for?

Anything in the Alpha era to be honest. Although I started Alpha v1.1.2_01, I'd probablly say version 1.20 of Alpha as that's when I started my main survival world that's still active today and has been continuously played since, no long breaks. Also around the 1,7X version of Beta due to the terrain generation, esecially the mountains, floaty mountains and huge overhangs. I once found one that looked like an apple core once!

Here’s a question: how do you deal with wanting to delete and start over again? I always start a new world and get quite far but then become unhappy with my original base build and wanting to restart. I’m probably the furthest into any world so far - about 50 hours- and feeling like I want to already. It doesn’t make sense since I could just start a new base 1000 blocks away with all my Upgraded items but as a perfectionist I still want to do it.

Thing is, it's different for everyone. Although I have lots of worlds, I have about just 5 that I continue to work on that are now quite old - all of them. That's to do with terrain generation however and the desire to want to build by inspired by the land, which I've not felt since BETA 1.8/RELEASE. Although we've had more biomes once you go travelling they're not diverse enough, one savanna for example is pretty much the same as another and so on and so on for every biome.

Getting into specifics, instead of restarting each time maybe stick with it and keep makeing the original even better, the very best it can be. Upping sticks in the same world could be an option, but set your own rules like taking little to nothing with you instead of what you have, naybe try that?

posted a message on What have you done recently?

On my main single-player survival world of 9 years & 9 months (Approx) I recently embarked on a little dock building on the sea front by my church. This replaces the flat oak plank boardwalk that stuck into the sea that has been there since alpha and was very basic.

    W.I.P.

    The Chunk Plaza Development

Since the 2014 I've been converting a chunk error wall into homes, shops, a hotel etc; but being an on/off project it didn't start to get a real push until 2015+, In the last six months I had been working on the hotel and settled on a color (Lime green with grey girders, both concrete) and got all the glass done, all the girders and windows fixed, made the residential staircase at the far end to close of the that apartment end.

With a set back a month & 1/2 ago from a PC crash I have had to re-do six months of work everywhere, including here. However, On this far left corner I finally added the girders and did all the glass again on the build as a whole top to bottom. Currently almost 8 out of 14 apartments have a basic birch floor.

In the grass fields behind where I'm standing I'm currently creating wheat fields, I may have a windmill there and an international port that I'm considering.

This as always, is the main part of the world however:

posted a message on What Minecraft style do you play? Survive or create? One person or many people?

Purely 100% singleplayer survival, only using creative for overhead screenshots, or a copy of the world to plan some builds - but not all. I've no interest in multiplayer, I play alone and in survival. Although I have a few worlds, I have one main one which I chave consistantly been playing since 2010 which will hit to years old in October time. I am quite happy consistantly building and exploring new chunks to have to get some materials, and like the grind of gathering materials to build as I play in 1.14.2.

posted a message on What do YOU do when you start your brand new world

Gather a stack & half of wood for a full stack of wood, sticks, a crafting bench and a wood pick, mine enough stone for all stone tools (Incl a hoe), a sword and a furnace. Gather seeds for early food growing and go exploring to find a good place to build, I rarely build at spawn. Usually spend the night either inside of a mountain wall dug ir go mining for immediate coal for torches, future smelting and of course iron ore. Priorities in iron: shield, pick and bucket. Shears if I can.

Continue looking in the morning for a good place to build.
