Single core processors can't handle infinite worlds very well but if you want to give it a go, check out this link.
I don't understand what that is...? Where and what is "Experimental"?
And infinite worlds were working just fine (minus the constant crashing everyone was getting) on the 0.9.0 version before the 0.9.2 update.
Plus the 2 saved infinite worlds I have still work and are in fact infinite.. sooo...
Jul 17, 2014Just want to make sure they know about this issue. I can not make a new infinite world (the saved ones work just fine minus the occasional crash)Posted in: Minecraft (Bedrock) Support
The button for infinite is grayed out and I get this message: Unsupported on this device!
I have a 4th Gen, iOS 6, iPod touch.

Jul 13, 2014I haven't seen it in survival mode yet but in creative mode (infinite) the seed: this game sucksPosted in: MCPE: Discussion
(yeah I was having a moment) there's big patches of pink and purple grass. For a second I thought I was in wonderland lol
Jul 12, 2014So I was kinda cranky with all the crashing this morning and just for kicks tried out the seed: this game sucksPosted in: MCPE: Discussion
on infinite (creative mode) this is what greeted me:
Pink and Purple grass! This only occurred in creative mode, when I made the world in survival mode it was regular grass.
Jul 11, 2014laura4484 posted a message on I got it to work for a little while (still crash-tastic!)yes I've got it all down to lowest possible level. Difficulty down, View distance; down fancy graphics, beautiful skies, and animated water off. I even deleted some apps to make extra space on my ipod. Nothing is working, the update is just glitchy.Posted in: MCPE: Discussion
Jul 11, 2014laura4484 posted a message on I got it to work for a little while (still crash-tastic!)So I took some pics of the things I found and noticed while I was able to look around. First of all I didn't use the seed name option, just a random Infinite world. The world I landed in my as well have been water world took me ages using the stop and go tactic to just get to another island.Posted in: MCPE: Discussion
The first Island I found I'm naming Mushroom Island:
Yes it was very dark when I took the picture but this is where the Mooshrooms and tall mushroom trees are.
Next, after another semi long swim, I finally found a cave... and let me tell you it WAS a cave! I'm still getting lost in the dam thing. My first surprise in here was I'm assuming another glitch:
In-case it's too dark to see, that's a mushroom growing on rock soooo... yeah strange. Anyways, I'm about to go in to story mode here, as I descended further down into the cave... I crashed. Upon restarting the world I found LAVA! I'll show you in a bit why I think the lava may be causing either the slow choppy freezing or even the crashes.
So in this cave I found the abandoned mine shaft! Really awesome cause it's like someone's just cleared out a lot of the unnecessary blocks and left you all the coal, iron, gold, redrock, diamond (YES!) plus random train tracks. Oh and all over I found these:
Can you see them? Here's a closer look (as well as something extra)
Those sticky spiderwebs! So I learned something, where there's a big clump of the things then there's probably a monster spawner near by. I think my having the No monsters option on is why there in a cage. I also found something nearby this monster cage:
A hidden chamber with chests! And they had items in them! mostly some iron, a bucket, some hay, and a loaf of bread... that's about it and further inside this chamber was...
another monster cage. Another bit of info, you can't collect these but you can destroy them
So now to the big lava problem. Every time I came near the stuff I'd crash and the further down I went into the cave, the more I'd find and then this:
A huge river of the stuff! So I did the only thing I could think of, I tried to drown all of it! There was also a lot of water down there. The drowning didn't work cause after a while I just crashed and gave up.
But I've learned about some other big issues along the way all seeming to revolve around memory. Now let me say I have over 800 MB's of free space on my ipod and I didn't run any other programs while I played. Every time I crashed I'd check the size of the world. It started out fairly small:
but as I moved around and saw more of the world the size jumped up
Now here comes the problem part. A few times when I crashed the size would drop:
and In world I'd either have lost items or gone back a few paces then where I had been. At one time I had made a double chest, then I crashed and half of it was gone. So yeah that's a problem. There's also an issue with that trick everyone uses to get extra blocks. I was only able to get one extra and after that it crashed twice... so... I'm thinking if the developers did fix that trick/glitch then maybe they created issues in the process.
Other than all this, it still is really awesome. The infinite worlds really are infinite! Maybe next time I'll find a Village or try interacting with the new monsters.
Jul 11, 2014I was finally for a little while able to get around in one of those infinite worlds. I didn't use a seed, Had all fancy graphics things off and no monsters. The only way I could get around was by moving a bit and then stopping (that got old quick) And Yay, I found a mine shaft! After my experience in there I'm starting to think the big issue is all the lava! It was everywhere! Rivers of the stuff. Still got plenty of crashes and I'm thinking the developers may have gotten rid of the trick to get more blocks cause I tried twice and ended up loosing have my inventory chest. Anyways I'm gonna make a post in the discussion forum to post my pics and findings.Posted in: Minecraft (Bedrock) Support
Jul 10, 2014The only thing that works right now is the flat world and in that you can only do creative... and you can't use the monster eggs :-(Posted in: Minecraft (Bedrock) Support
I really wanted to interact with the other monsters lol
Jul 10, 2014I second this! Game crashes on Ipod version 6.0 no matter what I try. At first I thought it was a memory issue but after deleting a few apps and my old worlds, I have over 800 MB. I turned off all the other Apps while attempting to use Minecraft. I turned off everything in graphics options and even turned the difficulty off. Yet it always happens like this weather it's old or infinite, survival or creative: the game takes a while to load and it's almost like the app is frozen, I'm able to either take a few steps then it crashes or I try to look around and it crashes. On the plus side I did notice that in the seed name LAURA in infinite there are a few HUGE mushrooms at spawn point.. But I'd really love to be able to explore more. So yeah, I'd say this is the bug that NEEDS to be fixed ASAP cause I deleted my old worlds for this thing and I took a lot of time building them!Posted in: Minecraft (Bedrock) Support
