posted a message on Afk autoclicker in background in latest minecraft versions! (As of 1.16.1)

    Hiya,

Afk fishing, mob grinding and etc have until recently (as far as I am aware), have only been possible when the game is loaded in the foreground of your computer, preventing you from doing anything else. Personally, I find that a pain in the ass.

In the past, there have been glitches which could be used to work around this but I am unaware of any now.

So I set out to find a better way.

How to setup a minecraft autoclicker for use in the background.

This is for reasonably advanced users only - I am not going to go into full detail here.

    Disclaimer (This is very important)

Please resist the temptation to try this if you don't know what you're doing - I don't want you to lose all your stuff.

If you are not familiar with the terms mentioned bellow, you're more likely to break your computer than get this right within in your first 3 attempts.

By this I mean, you will probably lose all your data stored on your computer and it won't boot. No more Microsoft Windows, no more documents, no more emails, etc.

I welcome users who do attempt this, to take this idea and make it easier for less experienced people to follow.

If you have any questions, please DM me.

This article was written on 18/August/2020. If you are here years later after this date, take the following with a helping of salt, so to speak.

    Let's get into it

With all that out of the way, you've probably already guessed this is achieved through a virtual machine, and you're right, but don't go just yet - after many, many, many... hours of trial and error, I have found this is astoundingly difficult in practice, so please read my tutorial. Don't worry - it won't be long.

So far, I have tested several VM softwares - the following do not work at all*:

(*Out of the box, without some extreme hardware and software modifications, that I did not have the skills and money to bother investing my time in. Your results may vary)

    VirtualBox, Hyper-V and QEMU

QEMU may be possible to use, but the fact that it is an Emulator allegedly makes it painfully slow, inefficient and I wasn't bothered to learn the commands to use it anyway.

Hyper-V and VirtualBox don't have 3D graphics acceleration compatability, by default and it was not fruitful installing additions to them.

(but I would love if someone could figure out how to do this in hyper-V, that would be amazing.)

The only free software I have found that works suitably is "VMware Workstation 15 player" (god that's a mouthful).

It's available for free, for no commercial uses, although this isn't advertised on the VMware site.

Go to download the trial version and install it.

Despite the name trial, it has no significant limitations, compared to the commercial version (at least for our purposes).

Firstly, create a machine and install windows 10. After that, make sure to install VM-Ware tools.

Install Java and Minecraft (java edition - duh) on it.

The rest is fairly self explanatory, just skip to the bit at the end if you like.

From here on, I'll just record what I did.

    My choice of auto-clicker

At this point, you can go your own way.

Here, I chose to download AutoHotkey and use that to run my custom auto-clicker. I threw a script together for it.

I install it and run my script. With the game open, I press Ctrl+l, it beeps at you and now you will left click every 2 seconds. Every so often, it will go to the last inventory slot and hold down right click for a bit(to eat food), and then go back to the first.

Press Ctrl+Esc to stop it (There will be another nice beep).

    The bit at the end

With your auto-clicker of choice hacking away at things in the game, press Ctrl+Alt and then Alt+Tab. You now have mine-craft running in the background. Well done if it worked. I'm terribly sorry if it didn't.

Please help me (Read this if it didn't work)

If you have any problems, please message me and we can troubleshoot it together.

    Further thoughts

In theory (I strongly stress this may not work in practice), you can have as many VMs running at once as your computer can handle. However, this will require several Minecraft java accounts and some real perseverance to try and get working. My goal is to turn this crude method into an easy and more beginner-friendly way to make AFK farms much better to use.

    This method is terrible.

    Thanks for reading. Cheers.

posted a message on New Chunk Detector Mod
(Please not download not currently available)
    G'day,

TL;DR - This is more or less what this mod does

    New chunks mod server output

    Download new chunk detector here

    Detailed Description

There's not an awful lot to say about this mod.

It's a very lightweight forge mod that outputs a message to the console aka the "Minecraft game output".

That states info about new chunks as they are generated. This is what a line of output looks like this:

    New chunks mod server output

    Future Plans

I would like to extend this to add a notification in a player's chat as they generate new chunks.

Perhaps a server-wide notification could also be made.

A basic config file would also be it would be for turning either of these off and changing the time between each notification.

If this mod gets enough attention I will do so. Otherwise... there's sadly not much point really.

    Feedback Plz

Hate it? Love it? Perhaps somewhere in between?

Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions. I'd be pleased to get them.

posted a message on Game won't play when I put in NEI (Not Enough Items) and it's required mod to play (CodeChickenCore)

"C:\Users\jillv346\AppData\Roaming\.technic\installedPacks' cannot be written to" This is repeated over and over and over again in the log.

    "Unable to save settings C:\Users\jillv346\AppData\Roaming\.technic\installedPacks"

It's not able to save anything.

Is your hard-drive full? Have you change file permissions for any files or folders involved?

posted a message on The unofficial Not enough items mod Guide
An Excessively Exhaustive Overview of JEI!
    (aEEOoJEI)

    Hello friend,

Today I would like to explain to you many of the ins and outs of the “just enough items” minecraft mod. This tutorial is aimed at the latest version of JEI as of writing (ver. 1.12.2_2.4.3.245_universal), in older versions, your mileage may vary.

I’m sure a lot of you will know how to use JEI but there’s a lot more to the mod that it would seem and I would like to show you it in its entirety.Just a few days ago I was playing minecraft as usual and by accident I hit the wrong key and to my surprise I found another feature in JEI that I hadn’t known about in my years of playing modded minecraft.

In this tutorial I’d like to show you the ins and outs of JEI that I have learnt. This is for experience and inexperienced players alike. The only thing I assume is basic minecraft knowledge. I would be extremely surprised if anyone watching this didn’t learn something new. So let’s get into it.

    Welcome to Just enough items.

Minecraft not enough items sample image

Loading into a world the first thing you may notice is that not a lot seems to have changed. JEI does not alter the game like most other mods do such as adding blocks and items. You will only find JEI popping up when you go to enter your player inventory. After pressing E you should be able to see a significant change. If not try pressing control+O or just O, while your inventory is open. control+O (or just O in earlier versions) is the way to show or hide JEI. All the keys I will be saying may be changed in the minecraft options under controls. I will be saying the defaults. Down the bottom is a dark search bar and on the right is a list of items and blocks.

I will first talk about the list on the right. It can be made bigger or smaller by changing the GUI scales in options. You can scroll through it with the mousewheel or by clicking the arrows at the top. Here you can see every item and block in the game including those from mods. Left click or press r over an item\block on the list to see how to make it and right click or press U to see what you can use it to make.

Not enough items minecraft mod recipe example

This opens the recipe box. It can be closed by pressing the escape or e on your keyboard.

This box shows crafting recipes, furnace recipes and other types of recipes. It is sorted by block eg furnace and crafting table. To change blocks click on a top arrow. To go to the next page of recipes press the lower arrow or scroll with the mousewheel.

That is the essentials for the item list.

You can also use the r key to see how to make a block that is anywhere in your inventory or U to see what to use it for.

Lastly, you can press the "+" at the bottom right of a recipe to have the items from your inventory moved (If all of them are there) into a crafting table.

One of the most useful parts of this mod is the search bar down the bottom.

Click on it to start typing and it will filter the items you can see on the right. You can also select it by pressing control F. Right clicking the search bar clears it. To see your previous searches you can press the up and down arrow keys. To backspace a whole word use control backspace.

    There are also special filters.

To filter by mod use @modname, for example @buildcraft or @minecraft. Put a dash to exclude for example: -wood, -stone.

There are yet more advanced filters:

    • # for to search by tooltip eg: #fuel.
    • $ for the forge ore dictionary eg: $oreIron
    • % to search by creative tab eg: %Brewing. Please note this is according to the mod documentation, I have been unable to use thins myself.
    • Use a | (pipe character) to separate more than one search filter eg: tool|axe

These are the basics of normal JEI.

If you’re sitting there scratching your head why yours is not working the same, you may have it set to cheat mode. With this on, left clicking an item in the list gives you a full stack and right clicking gives you 1 of them. You can also left click an item on top of the list to delete it.

Minecraft not enough items mod Search box

The very last thing I would like to mention in this tutorial is the “list edit” features.

To use it you will have to set a keybinding for “toggle hide\edit mode” in the minecraft controls. It is underneath the heading JEI(Just enough items). I will be setting mine to T. If you have lots of mods installed you may need to take some time to find a key that isn’t taken by another feature. To change to and from edit mode press your assigned key (in my example T). In edit mode you can use left click to select a single block or right click to select all blocks with the same id (Normally similar blocks). They will go red when they are selected. Note: After closing edit mode or opening it you may need to use the arrow keys or change your search for JEI to stop being silly. Items that you have selected will not show up in normal searches and their recipe information will be hidden.

On the bottom left you should see an options button, if you don’t you may need to show\ hide NEI with Control O as mentioned earlier. Here you can customise various settings.

Lastly, there are buttons called “save 1”, “save 2” . You can use these to save and load inventories (in cheat and creative mode). Above that there are self explanatory tools. The only thing to say here is there is a “creative+” game mode offered by this mod that has a much larger inventory than normal.

    This concludes this NEI tutorial.

    Thank you for reading.

Suggestions, questions etc. welcome (I wouldn't be surprised if I made some grammar mistakes XD)

    Regards, LargeNumberHere.

posted a message on It happens these 2 errors (or 1, I don't know) I urgently need help

Towards the top it says number format exception.

I think you've put the wrong type of variable somewhere.

    It quotes "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"

So I imagine that's what you're trying to put into a variable.

posted a message on [1.12 Eclipse] How to make multiple item recipe? (SOLVED)

A potential solution I could see is making a recipe file for each type of raw food but it would be crude. I don't know how to do exactly what you are asking.

posted a message on NEW Faux Blocks mod for minecraft 1.12.2

I'd like to present to you my new faux Blocks Minecraft Mod!

    https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/faux-blocks

Faux Blocks adds a set of Blocks that simulate vanilla ones but only cost a fraction of the resources, Just like Faux Leather Imitates cow leather but takes less resources to make.

These blocks are perfect for adding fine details to builds without costing an arm and a leg in survival resources.

The blocks are crafted with 4 glass, 1 stone and 4 of the mineral that it is based on.

To balance for their inexpensive recipes, all faux blocks have minimal blast resistance and are easily harvested (even the Faux Obsidian Block).

For example here is the recipe for faux diamond blocks:

Faux Diamond Block recipie - 1 diamond in each corner, glass on each side and stone in the middle.

As of writing there are 6 Faux blocks - 5 for the Vanilla minerals and 1 for obsidian.

Replace the diamonds with gold, lapis, emerald, iron or obsidian to get the respective Faux Block!

This is my first released mod.

I intend to release many more of much greater complexity and utility as I develop my coding skills.

I'd love to hear your thoughts bellow. Do you like it? How could I improve?
