Someone already asked Notch and he said it was just the Minecraft 1.0 files. But the .7z file is about 70mb in size while the minecraft.jar is only a few megabytes in size, so it can't just be the minecraft.jar files. If the secret file really is the minecraft code then it's most likely that Notch just included the resources folder which is about 90mb. The best way to find out would be to do a 7z of the current .minecraft and see if the size of the archive is the same.
Or, it could be just the minecraft.jars, since when an archive program compresses a file, it "deflates" the file of about 20-60% in size. If the file is 70 MB, and the minecraft code is 90 MB, then the compression took about 22% out of the file. That is a reasonable number, so it could be.
Does your Minecraft crash and you can't keep the crash report open? Then use this tool to keep not only the crash report open, but the internal report as well!

I decided to update this program from the command line and move it to an application. Sorry to Linux users, but this only works for Mac. Just open it, select your Minecraft folder, and the app will automatically create a .zip file in a folder called Minecraft Backups.
When you kill an animal (except sheep and squids), you get cooked meat. Now, you don't need to waste your experience or wear down your flint and steel.

More Foods, more variety, more life for Steve!
INFO
To start, find some salt ore. Salt can be mined with any kind of pick.
Then, milk some cows and make a bottle of cream.
Then, make some butter with cream and salt. (Shapeless Recipe)
Find cocoa beans and finally make chocolate!!!
Now, make an orange.
With an orange, some cake, and a chocolate bar, you can now make a jaffa!
To store your jaffas, make them into a jaffa box.
The jaffa box looks like this when you place it.
Now for the miscellaneous items. Buttered bread, to start with. (Shapeless Recipe)
Or, this recipe.
Now, cereal. First you need to craft oats. (No, they are not pumpkin seeds, they are oats.) (Shapeless)
Now you can make a nice bowl of cereal and milk.
And more foods to come in later updates!
