Are people mature in high school? I hope so I'm sick of people in middle school who find things funny that my 5 year old stepbrother doesn't even find a bit humorous.
i have a good piece of advice here, even though you might not enjoy school, think about whats beyond it because if you want a good paying job, you need a college degree
and "frosh" is a nickname for freshman (at our school we call them freshies)
I like school, I just have a hard time not getting into trouble.
1. You're a freshman. This essentially means that you are now pond scum.
2. No one likes a frosh who tries to be cool. You come off as, well...a frosh.
3. If you get lost on your first day, ask a teacher for directions.
4. The hate you'll get for being a frosh will fester until you're a sophomore, and you'll start to pick on freshmen. This will continue until you're a senior and pick on everyone. It's normal. Just don't be the douche that points it out.
Congratulations, you now know everything you'll need to know to survive High School.
So a frosh means someone who tries to be cool? If so I know I'm not cool.
Backing myself up, I'm not only saying the teachers choose me because I am an easy target for no reason. I do the same things other kids do and the teachers know both of us are doing it, and I am always the one to get in trouble for it. I got suspended for falling asleep in class even. What the hell is that? I couldn't help it!
Then those teachers are at fault for not respecting the fact that you actually have it, to be honest some teachers these days should not be where they are, just because of how disrespectful they are, and then they wonder why kids are disrespectful to them.

Kids never win, adults are always right. That's how things work.
In middle school, the teachers say High School is harder to you because they want to scare you into working harder.
High School isn't all bad. You don't generally get beaten up for being a freshman unless you are just plain stupid, and asking for a fight.
As for the rules, they really don't change from middle school.
Also don't be a smartass. Teachers and other students don't that. Be yourself. Respect the teachers and they will respect you.
I have a hard time respecting teachers since I think all humans should be treaten equally, not adults over children, or authority over regular citizens. That usually gets me into a lot of trouble and I am working on dealing with it but I have a very hard time with it.
When you said it "can't be controlled" the first thing I thought of was tourettes. That's rough. I would recommend you get to know your teachers better and let them know of your condition beforehand.
I do, they think I'm full of **** and they are just excuses and ADHD is fake.
Well then.. don't be stupid in high school, I guess. Mind your own business and do what you're supposed to do.
Alright I'm coming out with it, I have tourettes and ADHD, when I tick (roll my eyes unmeaningly) and get hyper and stuff the teachers get ticked off at me, on top of that this may sound like an excuse but I am very short and easy to get picked on (not that I have ever been a victim of bullying) but my mom thinks I am an easy target for the teachers or something.
My city's schooling system sucks, the reason I got expelled at the end of the year is that I swore in the special education hallway.
Not sure, I just made the teachers so mad that they would suspend me for the littlest things, such as going to the bathroom without using the pass, or cussing in a conversation with my friend, and stuff like that... some of it didn't even make sense.
When I got expelled at the end of the year I just naturally smartened up, maybe it was just because the teachers liked me since I was new. I'm worried though that in high school they will not like me since that didn't work out so well in Middle School.
To prepare you. In high school, everything starts to matter more. Which reminds me- try your hardest to get good grades.
EDIT: Ugh, why do I take so long to type.
I suck at getting good grades, I try my hardest, I'm pretty good at math according to my teachers even though I don't think I am and somehow I still get bad grades when I do all my work. Also teachers tend not to like me, I want to say the reason but I'd rather not say way, just know it's not anything that can be controlled.
Let me explain: The transition from middle to high school is bigger than what you might tend to believe. Mostly, social. You stop being a child and become a teenager, desperately trying to fit in with people that share your interests.
As such, in high school herd like behaviour is pretty much the norm. And if you don't find your own little circle or group you'll be seen as the loser. Unless you're well liked by a lot of people and still choose to be alone. Then you'll be the loner.
You don't want to take the place as the loser in high school because it will be detrimental to both your happiness stemming from your social experiences and those will ALSO affect your grades.
You don't need to try and fit in. But make friends. Connections.
That's good since I have been to both 2 middle schools in my city, so most people in my grade will like me since I was one of the most popular (somehow the most nerdiest too), also I should note that I am going to be 13 for the first few weeks of high school since I just made the cut-off in Kindergarten.

It is, they think it's ADHD is fake since some idiot kids use it as an excuse for everything.

If I did that I would be expelled instantly. I did terrible in the end of middle school, I got suspended so many times I lost track (around 30+)

Why would my teachers say that then? Well then again they said Middle School would be super hard and it was easier.
