Zuriki, I'm sorry for seeming to dictatoristic, but sometimes when I have an idea about something I tend to block out others perspectives. I will try to be more open to others opinions. Also, I am not opposed to making a round-based set-up, but I would like to, at some point have an ongoing roleplaying environment, as most popular MMO's do, excluding SS13 which was created using byond and lacks a logical RPing order, as most people just run rampant with crowbars and stunguns.

I am still kind of clinging to making The Space Beyond 3D, but I feel that we may likely start out making a couple more simplistic games in isometric first just to get used Java. I will, in the meantime practice 3 dimensional modeling for when we eventually do move on to 3D, if we do.

I would also like to start getting basic ideas, debating what to do, and having a vote on which way to go, for example, we may have arguments on each side of whether we start with round based or otherwise, and when we feel we have stated all of our main points, have people vote each side, and agarrett and I will count the votes and go from there. I feel that type of set up may be more efficient than our current state of continuous debate and random suggestions.

I made that engine before I thought of making treds. A helicopter-esc space shuttle would suffice, and then possibly a smaller, more lightweight hover version of my bus could be used as a cheap way to quicly travel across the surface.

Treds yes, this "bus" is supposed to be somewhat of an exploration vehicle, something that cannot fly through space, but can trek across the service of rocky, mountainous planets. Wheels wouldn't make it through the terrain, and hover engines would be unneficient, unable to get throught the terrain, and just kind of something there for show cuz its futuristic. Treds can be futuristic too you know.

Here's a basic overview of my hoverbus, the yellow circles are headlights, the orange ones are where the thrust would come from, and the black tinted rectangle is the windsheild. I will make it a bit more complex later.

    *Edit

I think I'm just gonna add some treds and make it not fly at all, because for one it would look better that way, and for two, it just makes more sense.

Nice, I started working on a hoverbus to kind of shuttle around the surface of a planet, and that bigger ship looks like it would be perfect for carrying it down to a planet, I gotta go do some yard work, so I'll post my hoverbus a bit later.

For one, in The Space Beyond, you will be able to land on planets, also, he Blaster said that would be intended as a mining ship, which it did somewhat fit for more so than a reguler open space shuttle, and would need to be close to or onthe surface of a planet. I love that one you did as an MS Paint drawing, as it adds a bit morw of that realistic, non-cartoony volume to the previously posted version of that ship.

No offense, but that looks more like gun then a ship(and don't try to make it into a gun). I suggest making it a little less rounded, and possibly, turn it around so what is the back now will be the front. Also, physically, that would be an unstable ship in real life as it is extremely back heavy, and has only one tiny engine. Think POSSIBLE(in the futute).

If it fails, we move on and learn from the experience, this probably won't end up big enough to be known as a big epic fail in computer games, ya we're determined, but its our introduction into Java, and therefore, we will just be kind of experimenting with things. Once we are more experienced, and know how NOT to fail, we may come back to this game with a new perspective and make it a bit more stable.
