That was one of the greatest parts about the XB360 Server I ran as part of the Renatus team; we would take the dungeons we found, build them out, make them a challenge, create some lore for them, and then open them up for the players! One of the more elaborate ones I constructed involved a couple of spider spawners that were relatively close to each other. I made multiple pathways down with different play styles in mind, wrote up a story about it, and then introduced it as "The Lair of the Spider King." Players were tasked with bringing back a bit of information that was hidden at the end, and then return to the castle to give me or one of the other moderators the information to collect the reward. We had a pretty elaborate system in place and many of the dungeons would advance the overall lore of the server, while some of them were one-offs that just provided experience and challenge. It was a lot of fun! Wish I still had time to devote to a project of that scale.
Anyone that wants to read my take on why the world, dungeons and creatures of of Minecraft are the way they are, check out our Lore page (http://renatus.fullboards.com/t9-the-history-of-renatus).
And don't worry, there's no Herobrine LOL

Because some people have a basic understanding of how intellectual property and copyrights work. The people who say "I made a Marvel Heroes skin pack for Minecraft, but 4J won't return my calls" don't have it. People who say "I made a texture pack, I think 4J can put it in the game" don't have it either. There is such an infinitesimally small chance of 4J ever using player created content that it might as well be considered "never." They have people who are working on skin packs. If they are going to do texture packs, they will have people do those. If they use something that a member of the community created, they run the risk of that member suing them for theft of intellectual property, so why open themselves up to that when they can just have their own people do it?
Most of the time when someone says 4J will never do that, it's because the suggestion is so unimaginably stupid that 4J really wouldn't ever do that. I guess for the sake of complete accuracy, the statement should be altered to read "4J likely won't do that if they have even the most tenuous understanding of what makes a company successful."

It's not about asking a question. It's about asking a question that's been asked (and answered) 1000 times already, and putting forth a theory that those of lesser intelligence will take as an indication of a definite release date.
If everyone checked the message boards to see if there was already an answer to their question, then there wouldn't be any redundant threads, and it would make it much easier for people to find useful information and ask legitimate important questions. You'd like to know when the update is coming out, we get that. It's been asked several times before, no one has the answer, not even the people who wrote the update. Follow the Twitter feed, or if you don't want to actually follow it, then just keep checking the stickied thread at the top of the forums.
In the future, I would recommend using the search function to see if the question you're looking to have answered has already been asked. People don't like redundant topics, and that's why you're seeing the flames.

I have already gone into detail about how "Razorcliffseaside" was an excellent adventure type map with plentiful resources. I have started it again and saved it without exploring. Once the update hits, I will explore the one I just saved, and see what differences if any take effect. I will then start it a third time and explore, and see the effects of the update on the seed.
BTW, why is this thread not stickied? This is one of the most useful threads here, in my opinion. Part of the reason I even posted this was to bump it, because I couldn't find it amidst all the "hears why i think the update will come out tomarrow, i herd 4j hid the releese date in a pitcher on the wall" posts, so I wanted to bump it.

I don't think the intention was to bring him down (I could be wrong) but there IS a dedicated thread for this topic where 99% of the community knows to go for seed finds. Granted, the OP might not have known, but he can take this as a lesson that if he wants the most people to notice his seed, he should post it in the best seed list.
As it is, this sounds like a great seed. I was told that there were no more than 3-4 dungeons per seed, and I am in one where I have found five thus far, and the resources are plentiful. This sounds like a similar find. Well done!

Source? Besides, it's 1.8.2. Unless you have a definite verifiable source, stop cluttering up the boards.

Not really, you're still just trying to get youtube views.
