I don't understand the enchantment thing nor do I really care. I can agree it is really random, but then again I don't have in-depth knowledge of it so therefore I really wouldn't know the randomness of it.
People in the world are different. Learn to live with that, if you can't handle an insult then you deserve to be insulted.
Different opinions are what causes them, that will never change. It doesn't mean they are intentionally rude all the time, just to you.
Unfortunately there are some who misconstrue that and think it's troll on the internet or being a jackass in real life.
But the sad truth is, it's their opinions. And when you disagree with their opinions, they get a little temper and insult you in any way possible. Weather it's a good one or a bad one.
An insult is more effective when you call somebody out on something then follow it up with "Retard" or "Cum Bucket **** Head". If you can prove them wrong then you have the right to insult them, if they want to back up their claims and prove you wrong, they have the right as well.
It's not that people can't understand this, it's that they just don't want to.
This is just a small part of why people insult others, it's just as the meaning describes, to degrade somebody and be offensive about it.
You do it, I do it, we all do it. That will never change. Why argue with it?
