No, everyone hates your ideas. They suck, TVs in Minecraft are like putting a computer in Minecraft; you sit on it for hours doing nothing, just like REAL life. Dragons have already been suggested millions of times, so no one cares what you have to say about them. The fact that just because you're an idiot who can't think of a good idea to save his life doesn't mean that the entirety of the forums are closed-minded pricks who don't like new ideas. So next time you can try not to be a narcissistic asshole and accept that you suck, alright?

better to be unoriginal than a ***** whom is hypercritical and easily intentionally offended by everyday conversation, everyone calls those individuals; special, but I just call them a ***** .

I guess the beaches could use an update, given this thread and many other "ugly terrain" threads ALWAYS pop up. ( you would think the devs would notice this trend)

posted a message on What new Mob Would you like to see?
    Quote from Silent_Samurai

I think mobs are the least needed place for a change in minecraft right now. Just IMO.

I feel quiet the opposite, without a change in mobs Minecraft is doomed to its simple algorithms, zombies are simple motion detection mobs that emit damage upon collision detection, they do not even have a satisfying attack animation.

skeletons barley move to fight you ( as an archer I would be distancing myself from whatever I am attacking, or switch to a melee weapon.)

complexity does not even begin until you get into Endermen coding and all that coding is a waste since IMHO we were promised a "somewhat sentient" being that could remove and place blocks. Well sure they do their job as stated, but was anyone else expecting them to you know, build a shelter out of the dirt they move? Or throw it at you as a weapon? instead they just stare you to death, literally, how does a Endermen actually attack you? as far as I can tell it is because their skin is made of void.

Even passive mobs are starting to lack luster, there is maybe two variable pitches for every farm animal, and when you are farming 10+ of that mob, it tends to become a volume off moment for me, because it sounds like a 3 year old spamming a sound board.

Mobs never have a variable size unless in a baby state, or an adult state. what two pigs were created equal? ( as easy as a float)

the textures are repetitive, they could at least get dirty, kind of like how wolves get saturated in water.

Overall, these mobs may be a great place holder, but like MC Beta everything must change sooner or later.

posted a message on 1.2.5 Snapshot News - Modders Can Prepare Now
    Quote from Conraad

What I would like to know, If mod developers are playing an important role in minecraft do you really think it's wise to release 1 update after the other, if you are lucky, which in most cases you are not these updates more often just breaks most of the code and we have to re-write a whole deal of the code, not to mention all the bugs that has to be dealt with the bugs on mods for 1.2.4 has not even been fixed yet in a lot of the mods heck we have lost more decent developers these past couple of months due to excatcly this same thing updates been released like sweeties. For that matter most of the popular mods like BuildCraft and IC2 has not even been updated to 1.2.4 yet so it's not just a matter of running your code through MCp and all is well it's bone breaking work each time with fixes.

I do appreciate all the attention minecraft gets in regards to updating it with new content, but there comes a time in just about every mod developers life where enough is enough and they stop updating and simply leave so I'm I the only one thinking that it's a bit unprofesional to release one update after the other escpecially when your game is also heavily dependant on mod developers.

I think there is a balance that should be kept in updates, each updates players have to wait for servers to update, mods to update, mods are dependant on each other so one has to wait for the other and in that same time players are still force to play on previous versions we stil have most players playing on 1.2.3 that hasn't updated yet because they waiting for the mods to be converted to 1.2.4, which is most likely not going to happen because they all going to sit back and wait for 1.2.5 or maybe 1.2.6 or 1.2.7

So in short I really think there should be a balance that needs to be maintained in regards to updates maybe I'm the only that feels like that, and maybe not I do not as a mod developer myself this really de motivates me a lot.

I play without a single mod on many of my machines. So tell me, how does this make Minecraft, a Mod Developer dependent game?
I'll tell you since that was a rhetorical question, it does not, in fact You made Yourself Mod Developer dependent.

If this isn't an april fool, what is it?

uhh, no. the whole "oh gawd Notch is trolling us with Herobrine" **** is getting old.
Ghost entities are white blocks or broken blocks/mobs that you can not interact with, hence the name ghost, Herobrine is a way for Mojang to vent their steam while they squash bugs, implement features, and get pestered by 25 million users about you name it.

    Quote from TheChewyness

Yes they do. Sometimes when the game creates unstable portals that when you leave the Nether, you go to a randomly generated portal.

*facepalm* Had you read the statement; you could not have possibly responded in this manner, as what you are stating requires your input.

you might not be familiar with abstract concepts but input is a fairly simple term to grasp.

Fine, it's not organized. Everyone knows now; stop making a scene.

The portal gun is integral to the entire Portal game. Dark brown stairs are eye candy and add nothing functionally. You can not compare the two. At best, it's like releasing Portal without the fancy details on the Companion Cube.

    but.....
    weighted companion cube is hawt!

    Quote from CovertJaguar

None, I repeat none, of the perquisites for mods even begin updating until the official update comes out. No one works off snapshots, nor would I want them to. I'd rather be behind than spend all my time updating.

Even once the perquisites are updated its extremely tedious for us modders to setup a new dev environment and then we still have to fix any name or function changes.

Nor am I particularly looking forward to the shakeup the Mod API will cause. Switching to it will probably require me to rewrite half my code, and the other half probably won't work without modding the Mod API. I imagine a lot of modders will stop modding.

good, those modders will be the lazy ones whom don't support their content I don't want that. This API should be the final step between Minecraft and the Mod Community, if you have to mod the API you should not be complaining as you could have further provided input to Mojang on how it should be done.
