Do you have a preferred amount of money to spend(2k is rather overkill.) Do you want to play the games maxed? Is there any parts you don't need? Do you need a monitor and a mouse and keyboard?

I -really- would avoid Alienware. Either build it yourself or get someone(like me) to build it for you.

    Cite your source please.

Ripoff Apple monitors are about 1k US, if you're paying THOUSANDS of dollars for a monitor you're doing it wrong.

Here's an example, as you exclaim that you can Max everything out on the market, an ideal top of the line monitor might put you back 6000 Dollars, done without price shopping and comparison of course, but you said maxed out.

    http://www.newegg.co...N82E16824001397

realistically my pocketbook would never need all of those top of the line features so I would happily settle for a $800 LG
    http://www.newegg.co...N82E16824005204

and then there is the $250 25 inch HDMI HP monitor I have.

I hate to reference one site but I am lazy today, so here is a $300 contender

Side note, I agree, screw apple monitors.

    $2000 mark?

You could build pretty much a top-of-the-line build with that much. It will max everything on the market at this given time.

Build it. Throw one of those new SB-E's in, two 7970's, 16 GB of 1333mhz RAM, a decent sized SSD, two 1 TB drives, and a 1200 watt PSU, and you will be kicking ass, with room to upgrade in the future.

max the everything on the market? not likely.

As a Monitor for your gaming rig can cost thousands of dollars alone, I doubt your information source, if you can cite one.

Though I agree Internally you could almost hit the highest standards, your disregard for cutting edge hardware pricing is amusing at best.

    "Removed Herobrine"

haha, gotta love how they're still trolling us.

Herobrine WAS an ingame skin your character could use on SMP, if your account name was Herobrine, it would re-skin your character as Herobrine, as I think you can no longer attempt this, they in effect, removed Herobrine.

I love how this community still trolls Mojang about this.

Disappeared and became a giant immortal golem. Yep, I hate people who play Skyrim without caring for lore. This coming from a lore junkie like me.

It's not a magic vs tech thread, just some stupid people derailed it.

It's a thread for ideas for advanced stuff.

    THIS!

I mean, if they cared to know, they would see the Lore makes more than half the game!

Its MAGIC though, Not technology. Redstone is MAGIC POWDER, The iron gollem is not a robot, Its a living piece of metal animated through MAGIC, Its schizo tech, The most technologically advance item we have is the simplest machine in existence besides a wheel on a stick! And even THAT is powered by magic in some form!

and what is electricity? it is not man made, it is magic. akin to your magic powder redstone. Most technology survives on, or was created with, electricity, ergo, it is a hybrid of magic and man creation, it is how we harness the energy.

A golem, by nature not alive, it is animated in classical context, just as you would mechanically animate a robot, it is not truly alive. This all delves into Artificial Intelligence, which our poor old developers have a hard time orchestrating, so to save anyone further complications, until our modern computer science improves on the minuet scale, I.E. improved AI, we should not pursue this silly argument, alive or not, the game creatures are still predefined, pre-programmed to only accomplish a small list of tasks, in a very specific manner, using sonar like detection to navigate, utilizing very little memory, something that makes a being unique, remembering.

    Quote from killer_monkey

The only way they can get more advanced would be to create a long dead race like the dwemer from skyrim and tie it into strongholds

Do not bring TES lore into this, as you will loose hardcore.

Dwemer are not dead, most of the race disappeared long before the time of written history, only two Dwemer remain on Nirn, or what the average mortal can access, even then, very dangerously.

It is really just the request for the seed and coordinates wrapped in a satirical sentence that puns on the general tone here in this forums in such topics.

I interpreted it as more of a useless request for the seed/coord hung out to dry in a unwittingly asinine sentence that puns on the general antiquated tone here in this forum in such topics.

greedy humanity is greedy, I am trying to get beyond this point, as it is moot to sell any of that information for money, pretty fantastically obvious IMHO.

SO I guess its once again, up to the pirates, thanks corporate greed for forcing us to walk a dark line.

posted a message on Opinions of this Graphics card ATI HD 5450
    Quote from TheMattleHead

I've heard a few different reviews all saying different things about this Graphics card,ATI HD 5450 and I wanted a better opinion on it whether its worth having or if it's not really worth using in a PC, so if you can help then thank you :smile.gif:

Do the specifications meet your requirements?
Does the computer you have meet the power, slot, and space/size prerequisite?
Can you afford the aforementioned Graphics Card?
Do you know the difference between the current market GPU standards?

If you have to come to a community for better information on Computer Hardware, you should probably let someone else handle this process altogether.

If you are trying to make an island beautiful, keeping the natural shape, then every creeper explosion is a loss of hard to replace resources.

What there is a surplus of is stone, and creepers don't blow up much stone.
But that natural surface dirt, the grass carpeting, that just goes poof.

Seriously, try playing on an ocean island. All your assumptions are wrong.
