Oceancraft is an idea I had while at the beach. I asked myself, "Why don't I make a mod where the world is an ocean?". And so the idea formed that I should gather a team of modders and texturers to work with me, and make this mod.

The Concept

So, this is the concept.

You start in a world like usual. You make your house and journey on. But, once you have mossy cobblestone you can create a portal to Oceancraft. To activate this portal you must use a bucket of water. Once lit you can venture out to Oceancraft.

The Oceancraft Realm

Oceancraft is mainly a giant ocean with small islands in it. Ocean can go as deep as bedrock here and the only way to get here is, Diving suits.

Diving suits will act as iron armor and, when Ctrl is press it will open up a GUI, which will be kinda like a furnace but without a result or a before slot, there is only the fuel slot and the flame effect. But the flame is bubbles. This will be powered by, Bubbles.

Bubbles will spawn on the sides of caves. And will power the diving suit. I am thinking of making it support CTM. If it is placed in air it will waste your air. It will only exist underwater and has the opposite of gravity. It will try to go up. It can be farmed with, a jar.

Jars are made with glass and iron and can be used to capture air and then place it underwater to create a bubble. It can also capture water like a bucket. But not lava, nor milk.

Palm trees are a type of tree which will sprout leaves in exotic directions. It will also give yellowish planks. If lucky, a banana will be created under one of the leaves. This tree will drop saplings.

Bananas will restore your health by 7 half hearts.

Auto saplings! Not only in the realm. When a sapling falls on the ground it plants itself?

Whirlpools, they are spots in water that go down in a cone shape.
Kinda like this. Air in the middle.

Islands. They will have a very light grass shading. And are very small. The beach around them is large. And they usually hold palm trees. They could look like this

Volcanoes. I was thinking we could make these. They only explode once, randomly, and only when you're near. They will require a new kind of lava. One that looks more orange, and gives off way more particle effects. It also would turn water into obsidian, not cobblestone.

Cloud blocks. They spawn in the sky. They can be placed to stop water. You can suffocate in these. You can go through these, And sometimes they have a dungeon on top. Not like the overworld but with pillars. And 4 creeper spawners.

Glass torches. They are torches inside a glass block.

Goo torches. They are made from goo. Goo comes from jellyfish.


Mobs

Jellyfish. Neutral. And spawn in the daytime. They poison you. They give goo.

Aqua creepers. Water creepers. They spawn in the dark. When they explode they replace the blocks in the radius with water. They drop goo + gunpowder.

Sharks. Hostile. They deal big amounts of damage. They give shark teeth. Shark teeth create chain mail armor.

Octopus. Harmless. They give ink sacks and calamari.
