    Quote from Rseding91

    For $150 that's a great PC.

It will play MC on decent FPS - maybe 100-200.

    It'll get 100-150 FPS in tiny/fast/smooth-off mode.

For $150, that's a good deal. If I were you, I'd get it. I would estimate that your FPS in far/fancy/smooth graphics would be around 30 frames per second with occasional stutter-lag. Far/fast/smooth-off would be around 50 frames per second.

Since your budget is $200, I would try to upgrade the CPU for like used $40ish to a dual core 2.8GHz. You'll get around 50 FPS in full graphics and 100. Around 150fps is a very enjoyable, but that's unattainable with your budget. If you have like $450 to spend, then you can get a really nice budget gaming system.

    Quote from shadow789man

Ok so, I logged on to Minecraft to just have a little fun and I look for my world. Then I notice it has dissapeared and got very angry -.- Any idea what happend cause I did not Delete any worlds or create any worlds so Im pretty sure I got hacked but if there is a glich any idea what happend?

Here's how you can get it back:

    Method #1
    Warnings:
    1) You won't have any of the items in your inventory.
    2) You won't spawn at your original spawn.

    Good news:
    1) You'll still spawn somewhere near your original spawn. You might have to travel around and find it though.
    2) All your items in your chests, and all the structure you built will be intact.

    How to do this:
    1) Create a new world.
    2) Exit the game.
    3) Exit Minecraft.
    4) Locate your saves folder.
    5) Copy you level.dat file from your new world and overwrite it into your lost world.
You might want to backup your level.dat file, but it's not really necessary because it's corrupted anyways.
    6) Open Minecraft.
    7) Cheer for joy that your new world is back!
    8) Rename the game to whatever it was before since it will have the name that you used for the new world.
(You might spawn in the ground because of your xyz coordinates in your new world. If you die, you'll just respawn anyways.)
    9) Come back on here and say "Thank you Justain!"

    Note:
Minecraft will inaccurately display the filesize of your world, but it doesn't really matter.

    Method #2
The EASY way if you remember your world's seed name:

    (Same warnings as method 1)

    1) Create a new world with the same seed.
    2) You'll probably spawn somewhere else, so go look for your base.
    3) Come back on here and say "Thank you Justain!"
    4) Send me $1 on paypal. Just kidding. Just click that reputation button down there --->

posted a message on Out of memory? only since 1.66.. wdf?
    Quote from kaydie

Totally lost here.. im sitting on 12gb of ram and only 2-3 are utilized at any given time, when im playing on MC after a while my game will just STOP rendering chunks and if i try to render any more like walk over an invisible lag hole it crashes and says out of memory and forces a client restart.. this is very annoying and i tried reinstalling the game deleting all the files in .minecraft etc.

There is no reason this should happen, furthermore MC never takes more than 500-700MB of ram in my processes... so clearly somethings messed up with the patch, any one know of any solutions?

(I have never even SEEN this error message and i've been playing since 1.4... it started immediately after 1.66

    Further info:

    OS: win7x64
    Running in downloaded client
MO: Seems to happen after X amount of unique chunks are cached in the game.
    JRE is up to date.
AM running a dedicated server on this same computer, though i can't see how that can cause my issues.

Is it talking about virtual memory (your hd might be full)?
Also, it could be because you're running your server on the same PC. Does this problem persist when you don't have the server running?

This is all I can think of at this point.

I, as a pro MCer, have a contraption that drops a mob into a glass case. I have it rigged so when that mob despawns, it drops another in. That's pro.

what? a glass room with a pressure plate attached to a door makes it pro?

posted a message on my friend thinks mc can run on a calculator
    Quote from PureGame

I know what kind of calculator he means. They can even run Pokemon and stuff like that. But to run Minecraft you need at least a decent PC.

I'm pretty sure the "mc can play on my ti-83" is sarcasm to describe the lower graphics.

Well it's not a TERRIBLE name but its just a bunch of numbers and gibberish that I use.I did not realize or think that it would end up being my display name. I get kicked because sometimes idiots think I am some sort of hacker because my name is all weird. But I ain't I purchased the game like everyone else :/

What you can do is try to sell it to a friend or let your friends use it to play with you on multiplayer. If you are that unhappy with your name, then is it work $22 to get a new name and have an extra account with a not-so-great name?

posted a message on level dat got deleted
Just copy and paste another level.dat file. You're going to basically copy the xyz coordinates and your inventory from the other world to this world so you're going to have to find your way back to your town.

You can try to copy a fresh new world's level.dat file over because it'll probably be closer to your house/base/etc.

posted a message on Blocks won't stay broken
    Quote from alinarose

    Hey guys,

Have a weird problem that searching for on this forum, and googling, are not finding me my answers. Was hoping to get help here. I have a local minecraft server running on windows 7 32 bit ultimate, with latest java downloaded, and playing on a seperate win 7 pro machine. both machines have 4GB of Ram, and are Dual core or better AMD Cpu's.

Here's the weird problem, My fiance gave me a BUNCH of nethers really quick, Via give alinarose 87 64 a bunch of times. And now, I can place blocks of any type down, but when i destroy any blocks, they immediately regenerate, and before ppl ask if I hold down the mouse button, answer is yes :tongue.gif: i've deleted the player file - nothing. changed PC's with a different exe file - nothing. reset the server - nothing. I'm not very savy when it comes to how to fix this, can anybody please help out? thanks!

I think you're playing on a server. If it's one that you made, it's probably because you're too close to spawn. It gets protected. You can either build somewhere else, or change your server properties (go google it). If it's not this, then try to add more info.

How do I input? Do I need a mod for this?

So far. 0/10. I know you're playing in peaceful mode, but at least put up some lights so I don't have to deal with creepers and so that it's viewable during night.

    ZERO.

This seems more like a job than joining a server. If you aren't going to pay, how do you keep these talents on your side?

    Anyways.

    1) I didn't even read the questions but I'm da ****, so accept me or no.
    2) I'm a good builder and I'm innovative, which works with the whole tech dev stuff.
    3) I'm respectful, but if you throw at me rules and loops to jump through, that aint gonna work.
    4) You will run a risk of me stealing your talents to another server if I feel that the server's direction suck.
    5) I want full building and destroy privs. I want TNT access, I want the right to grief if I have to, and I want ban/unban privs. I'm not a griefer, and I'm not the ultimate judge, but if it has to come down to it, I want to execute my will.
    6) I spent like 5 minutes doing this so I should at least get a 10 second yes, maybe, no response.
    7) I can post things that I made, but my reputation is at like 4, which means that's 4 reasons I shouldn't prove myself.
    8) **** you.
    9) Your mom.
    10) I'm really out of ideas, but when I got to 6, I felt I should get to 10. Hmm. A good one. Ok, I'll make the server more fun and popular. no proof needed. Just take my word for it. *****.
