Fenali followed the man named Crispus away from the palace and to the wharves. The hussle and bussle of other areas of the city were no less in quantity here, and there were no shortage of seedy looking men. Those that weren't seedy, were mostly sweaty deckhands and the occasional captain. Crispus apparently chose a boat that looked well-maintained and well-mannered, minus the maiden on the front of the ship with a rather large bust of course, and boarded it. Fenali walked the plank of wood connecting the ship to the dock and stumbled a small bit when he reached the boat, using his staff to keep him up. He nearly fell into a deckhand who was walking back onto the dock to get another crate.

"Excuse my clumsiness, I haven't been on a boat in what felt like decades," Fenali apologized to the deckhand.

"Oh, it's probably not your fault. I mean, boats probably didn't exist back when you were young," the deckhand snarkily replied, with a smirk, and continued his duties. Fenali just glared at the man for a second and mumbled something about ruffians under his breath, and took a seat on a nearby bench, watching as Crispus expertly bargained with the captain of the ship. Give this guy a chance and he'd own every single piece of money in this world, Fenali mused to himself.

Sorry for my absence for the past week or so. I went on vacation.

The reason I never mentioned this was because I assumed we would have internet. Well, they did have internet there, but that was for 30$ extra for the week, and everyone in my family is as frugal as Donald Trump, so we ended up without internet. I shall get to posting henceforth, and hopefully catch up without needing to read five bazzilion pages of RP.

*Notices that there is only one more page from when he last checked, with only one post on it relevant to his character*

Heh, I guess slower RP's have some good things about them. :3

    EDIT: Yep, I posted.

or...eventually get an entirely new form! lol
    but...how would that one work...?

Eh, going back to his original form would be more realistic since a Dispel spell seems a hell of a lot easier than a Transformation spell.

Frankly I agree with Hugz on this one. Eventually returning to human form would be awesome for the narrative.

I'll get the plunger! *plunges the story element out of the toilet*

Ew, it's covered in toilet water and stuff that I certainly hope is NOT feces.

But there's already suspicion. It kind of ruins it for me personally. I feel like Night is rushing the discovery. But whatever, moving on. It'd be cool if the mage in the noble team, whatever his name is (the old elf) was the one who eventually broke Northwind's spell, especially since the two teams are probably going to be bumping heads and rivaling each other throughout the RP, so to have a member of one team do something good for a member of the other team would be great story-wise.

And Beowulf, I haven't even blamed you. I'm blaming Night. You're doing fine, calm your horses.

You mean Fenali, my character that I'm playing as? How would he break his spell? My guy is a conjurer; he summons weapons and flings them at people. He isn't gonna transform someone from cat back to human anytime soon.

Though, I suppose a "Dispel" sort of magic would be simple to learn for a mage, even if it was out of his class. Hmmmmm....

Also, Lynxfolk are basically cats. Who's to say a cat can't tell when a cat isn't actually a cat? Probably by the way it moves or the fact that the eyes as Beo said are more human-ish rather than cat-like.

The eyes of a cat vs. a human are pretty distinct. That's just my two cents.

"I have a few." Fenali spoke up. "When we get to Sura, how do we plan on finding a follower?" Fenali figured it wouldn't be as simple as asking everyone "Hey, you a follower of this heretic?", so he was interested in hearing this man's plan out. "Also, how would we go about getting the information out of him? From the sounds of it, these followers will be fanatically zealous, and most likely won't give us any information unless we happen to find a very weak-willed follower." Fenali doubted that their luck would be that good, and therefor hoped that this man had a good enough plan.

I'm not bothered when called a hypocrite, what bugs me is how sensitive people can be, even when I'm not even insulting them. It's happened before, like I said. I'll call someone out on something and they have a mental breakdown over it, it's annoying as all hell. It bothers me even more when they make themselves the victim. Feokris had done it before and used it for justification to insult me and call me all sorts of things, but when I make a simple comment on his inactivity I'm a monster. Toughen up and stop whining when someone criticizes you is all I'm saying. There's no reason to be offended so long as you're not insulted (which I rarely do). I can be harsh sometimes, but I've never directly insulted someone here (unless they do it first or really, really **** me off, which doesn't happen all that often). Until that happens, stop taking offense to everything, It's annoying.

Ah, I see. Well, just be glad I'm not sensitive. In fact I'm sorta desensitized. May be because of my Aspergers syndrome, but it's gotten to the point where someone could scream at me that I'm worthless and many other evil words and I'd probably laugh at them for getting angry. :P If it's someone I respect I'll probably laugh anyway but I'd still take it into account. Otherwise I'll promptly forget what you said when I'm done ROFLing. :P

I'm such a hypocrite that I'm judging him when I myself haven't posted, I suppose I should have told everyone I wasn't going to post yet /sarcasm

(For the record, I did tell everyone I wouldn't post yet.)

I haven't posted because I told everyone I wouldn't yet. I said from the beginning I would wait before introducing my character. I'm not holding anyone behind, unlike some people. Hypocrisy isn't what ticks him off, it's criticism. It's not the first time he overreacts over something I say. People need to grow some thick skin around here, that's what.

No offense. Please, don't overreact over this, too. Jesus Christ.

My choice of words was poor, and I apologize. I didn't mean to call you a hypocrite, but Feo seemed to think you were one. (And it's near impossible to offend me, anyway)

Hey, to be fair I'm neutral in this argument. Feo's angry because he thinks you are a hypocrite and you are adamant that you're not one. Or, at least that's how I am seeing this. I'm not gonna pick sides.

It's also annoying when everyone is so sensitive.

Yeah, well, I know from experience that very few people are actually that sensitive, it's just that other people somehow find the one thing that REALLY ticks them off, and people get surprised when they get angry. I suppose Feo's one thing that ticks him off is hypocrisy.

Or perhaps he was in a bad mood. Either or.

Also, I'd post next, but since I was the last one to post, it'd be kinda silly for me to post now. Currently I'm waiting on Gorgen, but I won't rush him.

Fenali was taking a leisurely promenade through town. All about him were people, men and woman, elders and children, most milling about without purpose, others loudly proclaiming their wears. "We hold everything you need!" Only the highest quality shoes around!" All Fenali got from these advertisements was "I'm a big, fat liar and I want to con you out of everything you own!" Nevertheless, these stores were necessary evils for the people of this city. What else could they do except buy at their inflated prices? Go out and catch their own food?

As Fenali was walking through the park, which was a pretty big area, about the size of a 2x2 square of blocks with trees, bushes, and a fountain in the middle, he sat down on a bench to rest his old legs. Some people were standing nearby, and he couldn't help himself from listening to their conversation.

"So, did you hear about this Heretic person?" The shorter, balding man said. "Yeah, who hasn't?" Said the taller one with a beard. Fenali found it ironic he had not heard about it before, but continued listening. "Well, apparently the king is recruiting people to take him down." The short man said.

Intrigued, Fenali approached the group. "I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. Forgive me if I've been rude, but who is this Heretic I hear about?" The shorter one replied, saying "Apparently someone has been spreading dissent and heresay, claiming to be a prophet or some such sillyness. There is apparently a bounty of 100,000 parthanos for whomever finds this man. It seems that he must be a great threat to the kingdom if the bounty is that high."

"And where would one sign up to join in this hunt?" Fenali asked, mostly out of curiosity. The other man told him that you could try the castle. Fenali said his farewells and went on his away.

Fenali resumed his promenade, but kept thinking about that Heretic. If he was such a threat to the kingdom, he felt that it was his moral obligation to help. Especially since he was good in magic involving conjuring weapons, a skill that could be invaluable for a group.

He started walking towards the castle, which luckily wasn't too far away. He walked through the gates without problem, since the guards thought What's an old man gonna do? Lecture the king to death? Fenali entered into the courtyard, seeing a man and a dwarf talking. "Excuse me, sir," Fenali said as he walked over to the man. "I don't suppose you know where I could join a party to help defeat this Heretic I keep hearing about?"

Don't fight the ponies. Embrace it!

Anyway, now that I figured out how to disable my trackpad (FN key stopped working and I had to dig around in my computers settings to find out how because I kept clicking it with my thumb while typing) I think I'll make an introductory post.

I seem to have a lot of complaints about computers, don't I? :P

EDIT: After 2 hours of procrastinating, 30 minutes of eating cereal, and 15 minutes of typing I made my introductory post.

Hey, but you also have NPCs that are stupid as hell but would serve as PERFECT gunmeat.

@Jum: But if they would loose all their weapons? That was in my orignal post to you by the way!

Well, if they lost their weapons for some reason, than yes, I could give them weapons. How is that OP? It means that my guy will be focusing the entire time and probably become EXTREMELY drained after long use AND won't have any weapons of his own to defend himself with. And if my character breaks concentration in the middle of battle, which is entirely possible, the everyone's weapons fizzle out immediately. Also, he can really arm 2-3 people at once anyway, not an army.

Also, Feo, does this mean I'm in the RP and can start posting or should I wait for GorgenMast to make the decision?

Yeah, that guy should be shot, or you just have to change bindings.

Also, 5 swords at time aren't 100% impractical - he can hand them out to his teammates when they suddenly loose weapons, and when the enemies capture the swords, he can suddenly make them vanish in important moment!

'Cept that my guy won't even notice if the swords are captured. He'd be fully concentrating on keeping them there that he wouldn't notice that they're stolen. Also, they aren't super awesome swords. They are ethreal, yes, but are about as good as an "average" sword would be, so that most people should prefer to use their own sword rather than mine.

Thanks, Feo! Also, whoever made Backspace a shortcut to move back a page should be shot. I got most of the way through a post when somehow I lost focus on the chatbox and it went back a page. I wasn't even clicking anything and my trackpad is disabled, so I don't know why it keeps doing that.

Anyway, instead of levitation using his energy, I made it so that he has to use concentration to summon the weapon, and he can only summon weapons. He isn't gonna summon a boulder.

This essentially means that if he loses concentration, the weapon will fizzle out immediately rather than be dropped. Also, he can really only summon 3-4 max at a time, with great concentration. 5 would require perfect concentration just to keep them in, which would be near impossible during a battle, as well as impractical because he'd be spending so much energy keep the swords there that he wouldn't be able to attack with them.
