Character Backstory - Born deGene, I young Josef -- pronounced osef -- have left my home. I disrespected my father, never to claim his name or inheritance. Rather, I am creating my own life and opening a black page. My father, a logger -- and a very pronounced one -- had just purchased a diamond axe. Diamonds, the rarest of gems, create the quickest cleanest cut. And to the small town of Gene -- pronounced jEne -- a diamond tool is of the very most prestigious.
One night upon the eve of the twelfth of the month of Octubre, when the days become very short, 4 bandits approached Gene. When I saw the bandits killing cows for their beef, I grabbed the closest tool, my fathers diamond axe. I sprinted over the fence and killed the three bandits. The act of killing was unspeakable in Gene. Also upon killing the last man, the handle of the axe had broken. My father was shamed. I was banish'd from Gene.

Give an RP response to the following. As you sleep in your room, a guard kicks in the door, his blade drawn, his eyes shot red with anger. He lunges at you, his teeth grit in malice. I stumble out of bed, trip over the blanket I carried with me and fall, back against the wall. The guard turns his head to me as he is absorbed by the pillows and blanket still on the bed.
I scream, "this is a violation of my privacy."
He screams, "Heathen!"
I shout, "surely we can talk this out?"
He roars, "thief!"
A ballet like dance continues as he lunges and spirals his sword towards me. But I've cornered him, he has nowhere to go. I have a knife in my hand I fashioned from some sheep bones, but I don't use it. Just to disarm him. Then I fire at his toes and grab him for a nice and personal "neck snap." Now I can be in the army. So I collect all the supplies I can hold in my nap sac and where his armor. I can't live there anymore, there is a dead man in there.

This community will only thrive if you, the player, work will others to build communities and support each other. There are two rules. Anything and everything else goes.* Have fun and build!
Because we are in a temp. stage, the server will only be on from 10 am till midnight PST. If we find enough support we will develop a fully stable dedicated server. c: have fun till then!!

So, I have an idea. Players spawn into an open world. It is all wilderness. In the wilderness you can kill, steal, grief, whatever. There are no "server" consequences (you cannot be banned for doing so). If a say 6 or more active players live in a "tribe" they can submit a "township" approval form. (If you have less people or live on your own, you can not be protected) Now they are protected by the server from attacks. When this happens, a region is set that notifies the player when entering a town. Moderators, serve only as "police", one moderator is assigned to each town as they form. Moderators cannot choose to not be assigned. Instead, being a moderator means that you want to help keep the server clean, not that you want to access admin tools. There are 4 admins who vote on server changes. One high admin, who's vote counts for two, and 3 admins who's votes count for one. Obviously, this is not so much a RP based idea, which it easily could become, but a social experiment. Can people work together and form villages, or will people grief and harm one another in the wilderness? What do you think?
