What other mods do you have installed? Are you using ID Resolver?


This is a side effect of the new ladder code added by Forge in version 1.0.5. It stops my ladders from working. You could try using Forge 1.0.4, or just wait for BetterBlocks 3.8.


It will be in the next version. The only good solution now is to user Forge 1.0.4 (so ladders can be climbed) and use Forge's qx.class (you will lose obsidian fance, slabs, etc. explosion resistance).


Set useBetterLogs to false in the BetterBlocks.props file.


If you aren't using Minecraft Extended then block IDs cannot be higher 255. And will return to there default on next run.

The solution is in your post. Slot 115 is in use, so either disable Better Block's stairs, or change the watermelon block ID to something else. I wound up most of Xie's blocks to the 160 range to solve the Better Block conflict.
