Run away, zigzagging to evade any knives thrown at you, jabbing with your spear as needed.

In an instant, you spin around and run. After two steps you are hit in the back with a knife. You recoil in pain, but can still run. You feel your heart beating and gain a huge burst of energy. With difficulty, you sprint away at speeds you never thought you could go. Too scared to stop, you run for five minutes in no particular direction. As soon as you stopped, you collapsed. The wound is bleeding heavily and the knife is stuck inside.

Very quickly look at their weapons.

You look at their weapons. One has a sword and some sort of body armour, the other has a short sword and a knife, and the final one has a backpack and two knives. Luckily, you made a quick observation. They still have not attacked.

Keep going in a direction away from the cornucopia, keeping an eye out for any additional water or food sources.

From an earlier mental note on the sun's location, you reorient yourself and head away from the cornucopia. After twenty minutes of walking, you run into three careers. They are heavily armed, and they see you!

I'd like to recall surviving Tributes.

You aren't sure exactly who died, but there has been nine cannon shots so far.

Carefully harvest the walnuts, making sure not to make too much noise and looking all around to see if your being snuck up on.

You collect five more walnuts from the tree. Nobody is here.

Hike carefully back to where the walnut trees were, spear ready to strike.

You do not remember where the walnut tree was. Instead, you decide to look for a new one. In a few minutes, you find one.

Start looking around to make sure nothing is about to attack you.

    ((Sorry if this seems redundant))

    There is nobody.

    Quote FlyingFlames:

You don't really want to eat that. It's filthy and your not even hungry.

Go back to the water source and wash off the walnuts, then save them for when your hungry.

You go back to the lake and wash off the walnuts. They come out clean and fresh.

Quick tip: At any point in the game you can ask for an observation of the surrounding area. You can also post to recall information such as surviving tributes, inventory, and condition.

How did you fall over from throwing a rock?? Grab all your stuff and look around for anybody that might have pushed you over.

You had tripped on your own feet.

You look around for the walnuts but only find two. They're covered in dirt.

Inventory: 2 dirty walnuts, Makeshift flint spear.

Throw a rock away from you into a bush in the opposite direction to spook the deer into coming near you.

You grab a small stone from near you. It's small enough to throw and large enough to make a noise. With a flick of your wrist and a wave of your arm you faceplant into the dirt. Spitting out dust and leaves, you manage to see the deer as they run away. Soon you feel something drip down your face. Great. A bloody nose, you dropped the walnuts, and your covered in itchy leaves.

    Condition: Light bloody nose.

    Inventory: Makeshift flint spear.

Get down and start looking for some animals but be sure to keep watch for other tributes.

Trying very hard to be quiet, you begin walking around the forest. Within two minutes you spot a pair of deer. They are about 20 metres away from you.

take your spear and look off into the distance to try and spot a few tribes

You arm yourself with the spear and begin a search of the immediate area. You quickly find a clear and high up area near the lake. It gives you an easy view of the surrounding forest, but you can't see what's under the trees.

You drink a few sips. It doesn't taste entirely clean, but not bad enough to be deadly. After a minute, nothings happens. You drink until you are no longer thirsty.

    Condition: Fine.

Rip a strong blade of grass out of the ground then dip it in the water to see what happens

There doesn't appear to be any large blades of grass, so you decide to rip a handful of grass and throw it in. The grass lands in and floats around peacefully. Seems harmless.
    Quote from ka_doink1234o0»
Smell the water cautiously, by doing the thing where you waft the air over it onto your nose without sticking your face over the water.

You waft the lake scent toward you. Although you've smelt a real lake before, it smells fine. Still seems harmless.

(Quote didn't work. This next part is in reply to Enderdash's post.)

Not entirely sure how to start, you begin to gather some twigs and sticks for fuel. Then, you found some dry leaves and grass as tinder and kindling. After about twenty minutes of uselessly scraping twigs together, you give up. If only you had steel, then your flint spear could light a fire.

Keep going. Look for any helpful plants, like fruits, vegetables, plants you can tie into rope, that sort of thing.

For thirty minutes you walk, but find nothing useful. After another five minutes, you come across a small lake. If you squint you can see the other side, but just barely. The water looks clean but there doesn't appear to be any animals in it or around.

unravle part of your clothes, to get stiring (or cloth to stop bleeding if it happens)

With some help from the sharp flint, you manage to cut off a strip of cloth from the bottom of your pants. You then tie the flint and branch together and test its strength. The cloth holds, and the blade is sharp. You jab at a tree, testing the new weapon. It works great. Next, you walk a few metres away and attempt to throw the spear. As expected, it misses. At least you're good with melee.

    Inventory: 3 walnuts, Makeshift spear.

    Condition: Slightly thirsty.
