I keep crashing when I try to generate a cave dimension. According to multimc, here is when it goes bad (since I can't paste the entire report as it's too long)

useless_lapis posted a message on 1.6. what do you want it to be?A combat system, not complicated though, just maybe the direction of your sword attack changes based on where your looking at,or the direction you're moving, and new weapons, like Battle-Axes, Spears, Javelins. But all these would make the mobs seem underpowered, right?, so add some new mobs, and make them harder, or maybe unique in the challenge they present, i basically want new mobs, and new ways to kill them. You know, if you read all that, you might as well press that up arrow over there ->, c'mon, do it, do it, if you do I will remove the bomb strapped to a needy creeper's chestPosted in: Future Updates -

Quote from TheEvanCat
I think Notch said he might add dragons or something. It's rumored that's what the Ender Egg is for.
Anyways, how about some sort of lightning elemental, perhaps spawned where a lightning bolt strikes? Looks like a recoloured blaze, perhaps drops some sort of new item. I dunno, just an idea. I'd probably support new aerial mobs, depending on what they were. - To post a comment, please login.

it would be cool to throw a tennis ball that bounced like a real one and eventually stop moving. the dog would chase it, catch it in its mouth, come running back to, and drop as an item to throw again. not sure about crafting recipe, and it should have a durabiblity meter.
basically just like your frisbee.

sharks would be cool. maybe shark teeth could serve as a re-placement of flint in arrows, like how charcoal can re-place coal in the use of torches.
2
and yes, we need much more aquatic mobs. perhaps giant newt things that live in underground springs? im just trying to be creative.
sharks have been suggested A LOT. but i still think sharks would be cool.
and about your mountain lion idea. we do need more powerfull monsters, but it would be dumb to see ANOTHER big cat in minecraft, especially one that could not be tamed into a cat. they dont seem to blend in to vanilla minecraft very well.
rhinoes seem un-neccasary and overpowered. we just need a well balanced way to controle pigs.
it would also be nice to see avian mobs too. it would be a challenge to defend from the air and the land! it could make defending your foretress hard. maybe giant eagles of some sort could fly over the wall, and maybe bring mobs over?
all in all, we need more challenging monsters. i dont see any animals we really need.

it helps to 1-hit him, so drink some strength potions and use enchants.

bats- small and weak, but they come in large groups. only found in caves
spawn- anywhere in a light level of 0. they spawn in hordes whose size depends on elevation.
from layer 256-64, they spawn in groups of 1-5. from layer 64-48, they spawn in groups of 5-10. from layer 48-32, they spawn in groups of 10-15. from layer 32-16, they spawn in groups of 15-20, and from layer 16-0, they spawn in groups of 20-25.
physics, behavior, and dimensions- bats are small. only 0.5 by 0.5 by 0.5. but they make up there small size and weak stats in numbers! if your not careful when spelunking, you could be consumed in a terrible swarm!
they have a search radius of 16 blocks, but they are constantly flying around. bats never wander far from another bat unless there are no bats, then it wanders around. a good way to get rid of them is light. they cant stand light. they are also not fond of water, and obviosly not lava.
attack and health. does 1 on easy and normal, and 2 on hard. has 4 health.
sounds- tiny squeaks regularly, hisses when hurt or killed.
drops- not sure.
appearance- a little, fuzzy, gray cube with tiny wings constantly beating up and down.
condors- this isn't just another hawk suggestion, hear me out. condors are real life birds. they are a lot like buzzards, and they have a gigantic wingspan.
spawn- anywhere above layer 64 in any light level. in groups of 1-5. when spawned, has a 1/100 percent chance of having a skeleton on it's back, making a condor jockey. it also has a 1/20 chance of carrying a zombie, creeper, or skeleton in its claws. a rarer monster
physics, behavior, and dimensions- the condor is passive during the day and won't like to go near players. but at night, they fly close to the ground, searching for brave adventurers to dive bomb. when a taget comes within their 32 block search range, they circle overhead 3 times, then swoop down and attack. when they dive bomb, the aim for where the player is at the exact second they dive. therefore, when they dive, you can jump out of the way and attack them before they can fly back up. when they are carrying a mob, they will pretend to dive bomb you, but instead, they drop the mob, and then they return to dive bombing. you can shoot down the condors while it carries a mob, but the mob drops to the ground. you could shoot down the mob and the condor would return to dive bombing you. you can also shoot down a condor with a skeleton on its back single it out or vice versa. they are 0.8 blocks tall, 1.8 blocks long, and they have an impressive wingspan of 3.5 blocks. they are always flying around and they don't slow down. if they run into a block, they take 1 damage.
attack and health- does 3 on easy, 5 on normal, and 6 on hard. has 14 health
sounds- it makes caws regularly, angry squaks when hurt, it's load gets hurt, it's load gets killed, or it drops its load. it makes a long, quite caw when killed.
drops- 1-4 feathers.
appearance- a small body covered in brown feathers. it also has big wings that flap up and down, and little yellow legs with claws
crows- basicly a smaller version of the condor, but they carry tnt instead of mobs. it also likes to eat crops.
spawn- anywhere above layer 64 in any light level in groups 1-7. when spawned, it has a 1/30 percent chance of carrying some tnt in its claws only on hard mode. a common monster
physics, behavior and dimensions- crows are small, only 1 long, 0.8 tall, and 1.2 long. they are similar to condors in many ways. at night, they become aggresive, pecking players and dropping tnt. and during the day, they are passive. they have a search radius of 24 blocks. if they are carrying tnt, they go ahead and drop it on you, and it explodes on impact! if not, they just come down and start pecking you. during the day the shy away from players, and a new mob i will tell you about later: scarecrows. but at night, they will attack players if they interupt their dinner: crops. crows love to eat your wheat and gourd stalks and will do so if your not looking, so put up a scarecrow. they still don't like scarecrows at night.
attack and health. does 2 on easy and normal, and 4 on hard. has 4 health.
sounds- same as condors.
drops- 0-2 feathers
appearance- literaly a smaller version of a condor.
scarecrows- a new utility mob, they serve one purpose: to defend your crops!
spawn- when you build it. it built like an iron golem, but with fence posts instead of iron blocks. they also spawn in village wheat farms.
physics, behavior, and dimensions- scarecrows can't move at all. they stay on one point, and they can't even pivot. they don't d anything at all. the most boring mob ever. they are 2.8 tall, 1.5 wide, and 0.8 long. about the size of an iron golem. but other than that, they are completly in-animate.
attack and health- no attack, has 20 health.
sounds- silent
drops- 0-2 fence posts and 0-3 wheat.
appearence- a poll for feet, a ragged old shirt over a body of wheat with a crooked hat shading over his face. he has arms on poles sticking on the side. the arms are a puffed up sleeve with wheat sticking out the end.
ghosts- a formidable opponent, these guys are tricky to defeat.
spawn- anywhere with a light level under 7. doesn't spawn in groups. a rare monster
physics, behavior, and dimensions- the same size as the player, zombies, creepers, and many other mobs, the ghost is completly hostile. it burns in daylight. it avoids light altogether. when angered, it can float a little bit off the ground and can turn invisible for a few seconds at a time when hurt while invisible, it turns visible.
attack and health. does 4 on easy, 5 on normal, and 6 on hard. has 20 health
sounds- low moans regularly, high pitched howls when hurt, and a long, painfull moan when killed.
drops- not sure
appearance- a ghostly white, slightly transparent figure draped in white everywhere but the face, a black void with two tiny yellow eyes.
well these are all my thought out ideas. if you have ideas, comments, criticism, thoughts, etc. post them. thank you!

it would be cool to see bats in the sky! maybe after you get a certain high level acheivment, bats would spawn. same size as a spider, but flies. 20 health (10 hearts) and occasionally it could be carrying a zombie or a creeper, and when it flys above you it drops the pay load!
bat jockeys would be cool too.
srry about the original suggestion. it didn't have much thought.
