Yay! So happy this map is finally being released. I 've been lurking for a while with not much time to map, but just came across this, and was surprised it's finally happening. A lot of work went in to this and it just sat there almost completed for a long time. So glad that soon everybody will be able to play through our hard work. Just wondering why I'm not credited though? I created a whole area (Walkways of Abandon), and just hoping to be credited. Can't wait for the release!
Hey guys, I'm sure the majority of you don't know me, but I come with news of my mapping. I gave up on my old map, because the aesthetics, gameplay, and everything about it was bad. So, after a couple of months of break, I started on my new map. I'm determined to put more detail, effort, and time into this map, so it doesn't turn out like my old map. I still have yet to update my thread, but that might be a while.
I spent about a month of on and off working on the first area of my new map and I would greatly appreciate feedback on the screenies.
This area has two sections, each with a wool. The area isn't really WIP unless you guys see something I should change.
Looks amazzzzzzzing. Can't wait until it is released. Any Update on your progress as of now?
Sorry for the late reply. At the moment I'm working on a collaboration map over at CTM Community, but when I finish, I'll have 4 large areas to go, loot, mobs, and other minor details, but I'll say I'm around 85% completed. I'm not going to give a release date, because I'm not sure if I'll be able to get that, but you can expect it 2014-2015. XD I might get around to updating the progress spoiler at some point though.

Are you going to be asking for beta testers because I would love to test the map when you are ready. I'm currently making my own CTM map aswell and I'm about 90% done. Good Luck! When I finish the map, I will ask for beta testers, so stick around and check back every once in a while, and apply when I ask for them, and you could be a beta tester.
And on another note, Here's a few progress screenshots:
Sooo, i'm new to this. I just found darkbane and put the replica on the monument. Am i allowed to use the real thing, or should i put it in a community chest? Thanks, Patrick.
Looks pretty nice, although I'm just a little concerned about how all the slabs which might be annoying for players to walk through. Would it be possible to get a lower angle shot, it seems like there's an arch below the area which might look quite good.
Here's some more screenshots.
And on the whole RC thing, I dont have too much to say but, I agree that gameplay could become less fun the more maps that come out, but the aesthetics, in my opinion, are looking better with all the maps that come out. I did get inspired by Ragecraft on some of my aesthetics, while I try to keep the gameplay all my own idea.
I just wanted to announce my new wip ctm map I'm making. I started quite a while ago, but just now posted the thread. The map is around 60% done and I'm trying to make it a very large (6 intersection) map. For screenshots and other information about the map, click the banner down myah.
Sorry for the double post. Keep in mind the screenshots are not final. I still have to add loot and spawners, so that is why there aren't any in any of the screenshots. Also, I am going on vacation from July 19-26 so no work will be done, but I can still check the thread with my phone. And lastly, if there are any problems with any of the areas/screenshots that you can see, I would always appreciate feedback.
Recently finished work on an area in Intersection 3, and started on the brown wool. There's not too much to report other than that at the moment. Do you guys think that the dev update thing is a good idea? If so i'll do more.
Linear Branching-Most common in ctms, includes several intersections that lead off to different areas. There are about 4 intersections in an average map.
Linear-all areas follow one after the other, normally in order of difficulty
Open World-All wools are spread out along one big area, and do not need to be found in any order
Difficulty:
1-3 An average challenge for normal minecraft players
4-6 Some CTM experience is needed here
7-8 You should have beaten at least 3 other (hard) ctm's before this one
9-10 CTM veterans only
11 Not reccomended to be played, for experimental purposes only
Rules:
You can find them in all of the maps, but they are basically average ctm rules. One
special rule is that you can make your own enderchests as long as you don't put
the wool in the ones you made.
Pandora's Quest
Progress- ~60%
Minecraft Version-1.8
Difficulty-4
Type-Linear Branching
Size-Very Large
Estimated Playtime-?

More will be added as the map progresses.
