At some point, somebody has to come along who knows what I'm talking about. Until then, the rest of you can sit and wonder.

I think I'll just go outside. Maybe you should give us a bit of a hint in the meantime? So far two veterans have no idea what you're talking about. Good luck, oh distressed one.

Either you're rambling on about how all these suggestions have gone under the radar unnoticed for a year or the fact that Notch has/is already considering to add in all these suggestions in the first place and saying it again is unneeded rhetoric.

If it's neither, quit speaking in cryptic messages, damnit, the forum isn't psychic (all my abilities derive from pattern recognition instead).

Here here. Also, guess who. :smile.gif:

Space. Minecraft. Space. Minecraft. SPACE. MINECRAFT. I don't see this being good. And... How do you breath in space? I see a "A space suit of course!" coming. No. Minecraft is at the very most right when engines are coming into the world for a time period (which I would like for airships). This just doesn't fit the theme.

Enter magic, the solution to everything. Notch has talked about players going to the moon before. It wouldn't be too far of a stretch if they had some "earthstone" or something to keep them alive in space.

As for space stations, that's the only real example that wouldn't fit in the time period.

Closer to the topic: I like the moon, space seems excessive and not worth the time investment. Knowing Notch, we'll have all the excitement we need on one planet. :wink.gif:

Lol, fine, but this thread was never invaded. If the OP starts it, the OP wants it. Whatever though, now we're in here cluttering it up. :laugh.gif:

Look, its multiplayer THEN more stuff, so live with it. He is working on survival MP as we speak (probably). just be patient and enjoy the indev caves for the moment.

It looks to me like he's releasing a test version of MP first, but it's not exactly clear whether or not this will be public. Anyway, you don't have to be so assertive.

    Jesus christ stop talking off-topic!

Did off-topic discussion kill your families? It's not a big deal and you don't look any more mature for whining about it.

You're also a little late. If you'd read the arguments, you'd know that they're already over and that you just look foolish for acknowledging them.

Still haven't been able to get this one friend of mine to try it.
He insists Java is no good at games. I suppose I'll get him to try it once multiplayer survival comes out.

Just hope he doesn't get addicted or anything.

I once believed that Java was very limited. Then I loaded up an early version of Minecraft and my insides started to cry.

I know the first thing that came to your mind- "NO, CHUNK UPDATES." -but just hear me out.

What about adding a loading screen between day and night? This can allow the entire map to be reloaded with different textures easily. It may be an annoying hassle to wait for a loading screen for a few seconds out of your busy mining schedule, but it would sure be awesome to have different settings. Also, to avoid many loading screens during a short time, make the day and night around a half-hour each.

//insert all ideas posted in previous threads that are affiliated with day/night

I'd personally be fine with this, but I know people who aren't. A server setting would be the best way to go, I think.

The only way classes would work is if you could do everything anyother could, but you started out with items.

    -1.

I don't get what your on about, did you read what I posted?

So what your saying is that the only way for classes to work is if everyone can do the same thing? Then what's the point of having classes if everyone can mine, craft, build ...etc

Well, the general consensus so far has been that there isn't a point to classes. People get bored doing the same thing. They all want to be able to play however they like. You must also think about servers that don't have enough players to fill their class roles, or what if a player isn't doing their job?

I don't think classes belong in Minecraft.

    I LIKE MIMICS. SUPPORT.

A CHEST IN A CANDLESHOP, YOU SAY? I SAY SITTING EXPERIENCE POINTS. (Nethack)

But I don't think mimics should possess chests. They should just find corners and transform into chests.

Idunno. Perhaps if there aren't any chests nearby. I'm just worried that mimics will be too obvious if a player knows that the chest wasn't there. This would probably work on maps with a lot of players, though.

    Quote from Droqen »
The problem with placing the chest on the nearest block is there's no way to move chests without destroying them, and it might end up in a really awkward place.

Also it would look weird, likely; a chest just 'jumping' down onto the ground.

[2x1 split would probably be fine I agree :biggrin.gif:]

Yeah, I'm wondering if chests will remain as a block in the future, or if they might become entities that we can physically pick up and place somewhere else. If that was the case, then it could simply fall to the ground. This would make it easier for players to just run off with chests, though. What a pickle.
