I looked over it, the suggestions kept coming up as a syntax error in the config file. I had a server running a month ago or so on 1.8.6 but had gotten rid of it (can't remember why), worked great then.
*EDIT* Downgrading to 1.8.6 on the server and it is running fine now. Must be something with 1.8.7, at least for me in my situation anyhow.
Just redid some things on my little htpc and decided to add a Minecraft server to it. The server crashes within 30 seconds of starting itself either on boot or manually. This is the crash report. As said this is a fresh Ubuntu installation, full updates. This is not modded in anyway, vanilla survival.
