Correct. If the person was a former admin, they could've stashed serversigns that op them, or they could've opped alts. It doesn't have to be opping, either. A * node in pex is pretty much equivalent.
I have Too Many Items installed for the purpose of the map I'm creating, and I need it installed, but I don't wanna uninstall it and reinstall every time I wish to get on the server, is there a way around that? Like does it auto not let me use it so you know I won't use it to cheat?
When you click a button in TMI, it runs /give, which you don't have access to. So that's fine.
Hi! I have ran my server for quite a while and have decided to face the challenge of setting up PermissionsEX. I have spent a while setting stuff up and have ran it through an Online YAML Parser, supposedly, everything is working right. But, when I start up my server and join it I get hit with an error stating 'Internal Server Error' and a very long bunch of code in my console.
All that I can make out is that there is no default group set, but as you can see, the group 'Member' is my default group. Have I typed something out wrong, or is something clashing?
Help please!
(I'm using PermissionsEX)
I'm guessing that I have spaced it wrongly or something.
I've tried many different spacing patterns (Following rules to OP.), but they didn't seem to work.
Second, I just want these exact permissions for that group, nothing else:
However, it still lets you use all the commands enabled by default to non-ops, including faction commands, vanilla commands, essential commands, etc. I would like to disable all of those.
Thanks for all your help!
Can you pastebin your entire permissions.yml please? Also, for your prefix question, can you post your plugin list?
Read all about this and I seem i cannot get this working. I really need your help on this. I am using PermissionsBukkit and I am having so much trouble. Here is my file:
I believe this incident coincided with a session outage (see history here). Assuming you were in online-mode then and now, are you still having this issue?
Also, I don't recommend posting you or your friend's IPs publicly on the internet.
Is this realistic considering only having 4GM RAM int he entire computer?
From my experience, yes. Assuming the client you mentioned is a minecraft client, boot the Minecraft Client with -Xms512M -Xmx512M (certain launchers can help you with this), then the server with -Xms1024M -Xmx3072M.
One option you could consider is setting the initial heap size (the -Xms part) to 1GB, and setting your maximum heap size (-Xmx) at something around 3.5GB. I'm sorry I can't provide specifics to the mods you use, as I mainly administer bukkit servers, but allowing the server to use more RAM if it needs to can help. However, I have read about drawbacks to this, mostly related to garbage collection. If you have a high max heap size, Java's garbage collector doesn't need to run as often, meaning that it may not actually *need* that extra space it's using.

Nope. Here's your problem:

Done.

Your syntax is off in a couple places. Use this website to make sure it's valid YAML.
Again, see the linked website above. You forgot the colon after 'Devdog11'.
