Worst server ever, Kracken (Latex babe, nothing weird in that nickname) first build an obsidian box around piportal, then jailed him for no reason. Won't be back plenty of good servers that are not infested by abusive mods.

    Stay away, also dupe posts:

    http://www.minecraft...s#entry22595452 and others, search jingonomics.

I usually give you second chances, but with out of control mods like that there is no saving you. Bye.

    What is your in-game name?

I recently got a job and I wanted to save up 500$ for a decent gaming desktop even though I don't understand anything about pcs. http://m.ebay.com/it...av=SEARCH&sbk=1 is the pc I was looking at and I'm wondering of its a decent pc for gaming and work. Thanks and if you have any other suggestions, remember I can not build a pc myself.

Sorry for the sidetrack. Hopefully you got something out of everyone. Good luck!

To me, overclocking reduces durability and stability which I would rather have.

You're spending $2000 and didn't want to overclock?

    I spent 2k so I don't have to overclock

If you're not overclocking why do you have such an expensive motherboard?

I didn't think it was expensive. I just wanted a good quality one. If I was going to spend 2k I didn't want this to fail first.

What the hell did you do to this post? It's almost impossible to read. The only point in getting that motherboard over a cheaper one (like the GA-970A-D3) is overclocking. A blu-ray burner is not "a few dollars more" then a normal CD drive. More like $40 more. I don't see how the hell you managed to make that cost $2000. You got ripped off. Bad.

Look at it again, it should be cleaner now.

You didn't build that, you customized it on Cyberpower's site. We're not hating, it's just that you're saying nonsense and posting crappy computers. That build sucks also:Expensive motherboard but no aftermarket cooler? Why the hell do you need a blu-ray burner?Case is alright.CPU is alright, though it's pretty much an 8320 with higher clock speed. Two 2TB drives? Why do you need so much storage?SSD is alright, though with that budget you should be able to get at least an 840 pro.16gb of RAM is unnecessary.Overkill as hell PSU.Graphics card is very weak for a $2000 build...If you actually build with $2000 you could most likely fit in an i7 4930k, r9 290x (or 7990 even), etc. You got ripped off, that build is worth $1000 at most.

You didn't build that, you customized it on Cyberpower's site.
Every part was ordered from newegg

Expensive motherboard but no aftermarket cooler?
I do not overclock so stock one is fine for me. Also the case has very good cooling.

Why the hell do you need a blu-ray burner?
For a few dollars more, I can use it for something later

    Two 2TB drives?
It's in raid 1 so I don't need to back it up

Why do you need so much storage?
For all my data that I have ever owned shared with other family members.

SSD is alright, though with that budget you should be able to get at least an 840 pro.
I did replace this with the 256gb version. Using this in my laptop instead.

    16gb of RAM is unnecessary.
I use Oracle VM VirtualBox for my test environment.

    Overkill as hell PSU.
Yes so I can add crossfire configuration later if I wanted to or overclock if I really wanted it to go faster.

Graphics card is very weak for a $2000 build...
As you can tell, it's not a full gaming PC. This works for what I need now and can be changed later

If you actually build with $2000 you could most likely fit in an i7 4930k, r9 290x (or 7990 even), etc.
I'd rather get the 8 cores to use for the virtual machines.

You got ripped off, that build is worth $1000 at most.
It's built exactly the way I want it. I have no regrets

I built my own PC and spent around ~1500 to get it exactly the way I wanted it but if things do not go smoothly, it can get frustrating. You could go either way. It's really up to you.

Sorry I meant Costco. I bet you if you use this http://www.costco.com/iBuyPower-Desktop-AMD-FX-4200-3.3GHz-Windows-7-Home-Premium.product.100078822.html or build what they suggest, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

I don't know why they are trying to make you build a PC. Price looks good. If you are just buying a pre-built one get it locally like a Sam's Club or something. They would have the same deals.
