The Bedrock creative inventory is so nice and clean, even if it doesn't have as many sections. Why? Well, let me show you.
-Make similar types of items in Java edition be in a section within a section, like in Bedrock, all the miscellaneous foods are in one "tile", as in, when you click on it, all the types show up in dark grey tiles. Confusing? I don't have a picture :(. To put it the best I can, the spawn eggs in Bedrock are all packed together, whereas in Java, they're all spread out and messy.
-There's a bug where when you do Ctrl + I/U/B, it makes a space before the word (this is on the Minecraft Forums, not Minecraft itself). Someone plz fix it.

I had exactly the same idea, which I'll show here:
A dimension accessed by the portal of the sun, or the solar portal. You place Gold Blocks in the corners and Diamond Blocks to fill in the sides. Finally, directly in the middle of the horizontal sides, place and Emerald Block. It has to be stepped in on one side; if you enter on one side, the other side will be blocked of by bedrock, replacing any other block behind it. To activate it, you'll need an essence of the sun. To get a solar essence, you'll need to kill a mob at the world build limit: y=255. This way there is a fifty per cent chance that you'll get an essence of the sun. Throw it inside, along with a book, and they will craft into a enchanted book of heights. Enchant your flint and steel with it to light the portal. The poratl effects aren't purple swirls; instead, they are clouds, and the sun of in the distance. The effect "follows you" like the end portal.
In this dimension, you will get a buff as long as you are there, called "Acrophobia". This will stop you from walking off ledges without jumping. This will definitely save you from falling down to the Overworld (Yes, it isn't really another dimension, but if it's inaccessible to all survival players, I'd call it a new dimension, yes. You will also find some hostile mobs, except they can fly: Zombies have been renamed to "Undead Hanggliders"; Skeletons, "Boney Pilots"; Creepers, "Explosive Jets"; Slimes, "Gooey Gliders", it goes on and on...
Some passive mobs are here too, such as Chickens, Cow, Pigs, Bats, and more! Chickens have been renamed to "Unrealistic Chickens", Cows, "Gliding Betsy-s", Pigs, "Flying Porkers" (When Pigs Fly is back! A "Skylands" advancement tree advancement that you unlock after you plant the root advancement, "Skylands". This advancement is made by saddling and riding a Flying Porker, which can fly by pressing the "Jump" button and can land by pressing the "Sneak" button.); Bats stay the same, Horses, "Pegasus (singular and plural)", and more.
The most abundant block here is "Cloud" (obviously) and "Rain Cloud", and a new ore here is found called "Flite". You can upgrade your elytra at a smithing table with Flite to get a new an improved, "Ultralytra", which is literally just a creative mode elytra. It's unenchantable, though, but that's 'cuz it's unbreakable!
You can also make Flite equipment, like Flight Swords, Flight Bows, et cetera. Flight Swords inflict Levitation and Weakness (to inflict maximum fall damage) to your opponent, as well as making them unable to attack you. Flight Bows shoot arrows that aren't affected by gravity, so with a Flame Flight Bow, you could make a flaming laser, basically. Flight armour is normal until you get the whole set on, which is when:
1. You get an elytra slot. Yes.
2a. You can fly like in creative mode. Yes.
2b. Exactly like in creative mode. Yea-It uses durability, though. Sad.
The rest is up to you!
P.S. Lava won't turn into Clay, bro. It'd turn into Magma!

A new item: the Smelter (name subject to change)! Off course, why'd you want to smelt ores super fast with the Blast Furnace, or food with the Smoker? No one wants to wait ages for that one sand to get cooked up in a furnace, so the Smelter fixes that!
-A new section of the furnace called "Other". This contains items such as glass, cracked stone bricks, and more!
-This "Other" section is what the new block, the Smelter, will be specialized in. The smelter will be crafted like this:
any wood plank | any wood plank | any wood plank
cobblestone | furnace | cobblestone
any wood plank | any wood plank | any wood plank
The appearance is up to you!
P.S: I can't preserve the whitespace :(.

I dunno. Maybe it comes before Java Ed. Maybe it consists of separate updates like the 1.14 Bedrock update, which was made up of 1.9.0, 1.10.0, 1.11.0, 1.12.0, 1.13.0, and 1.14.0.
