Andre, you didn't change your mind about a higher res texture pack ? 32p, 64p, or 128p ? Imagine what you could make on a bigger "canvas". (It would be a great alternative to Sphax Burebdcraft !) You could really show your full talent on it.
Sorry but I had to ask.

like its on display in a glass case like in a museum?
im not so sure i could make that look right, seeing as i can only edit the outside of the block... it would just be too flat, being 2d. its a good idea, but just not practical to make.
Not a museum display, just a simple metallic structure with rivets and glass panes, and you can see a diamond glowing in some thick fog inside. The diamond seems to float in the block. I know what you mean about the 2D, but with the fog, it could make the trick. Well, it was just an idea
By the way, the trapdoor is really nice. The sides are fine. I'm not sure about the brown things around. How does it look without them ?
It looks like some hatchway in a frame, which is kind of weird.

May 5, 2012Hmmm... I see something about the diamond block. A big diamond trapped in some glass. The diamond shines in some mysterious way in some thick fog inside this glass block you know... in a dark blue light or such. I have the picture in my head, impossible to take it out and put it anywhere. Maybe a metallic structure with rivets, and glass panes you know...Posted in: Resource Packs
Edit: your iron and grey wood plank are great

May 3, 2012Great texture but it doesn't seems really good for walls IMO. I've never seen such pattern on walls IRL neither, but always on floors.Posted in: Resource Packs
Maybe if you make deeper "cracks between the boards".
Or / and maybe it's too flat and just needs some more relief to be put into hmmm... you know, bigger bricks, I mean, that have more relief.
What I said sounds weird, I hope it's understandable. I often use an online traductor, maybe it's not really accurate,
May 2, 2012Is this the original color ? Or is there some colored light ?Posted in: Resource Packs
I don't like this texture. Color, shape and diagonal direction. With or without metal pieces. It doesn't look like wood planks at all IMO.
Hmmm I sound a little mean... but I'm not XD

May 1, 2012Or make greenish grey rivets instead of gold. I like this detail, the glass texture is awesome.Posted in: Resource Packs
May 1, 2012I didn't play with that mod for a long time so I missed some features...Posted in: Minecraft Mods
But now there is another update, what is "redneck fishing" ?
This makes me think about some weirdos throwing dynamite in the lake to have fishes... is that it ? XD
May 1, 2012I like them both. Great textures. How the hell do you make this ?Posted in: Resource Packs
Apr 30, 2012About the wood planks again, make sure it doesn't look too weird on fences and stairs.Posted in: Resource Packs

i couldn't find the texture pack i always wanted... so im making it
I want to make one too but it's a pain in the ass. So much to do... and not enough talent or ideas. XD
I prefer the first texture, full color, not the patchy one. That could be a nice default wood plank texture.
And do you plan to make the other wood texture the same but with just a different color ? Or completely different patterns ? Personnaly I prefer the same texture for all but about that pack, I think you could make really nice different patterns. One for walls, one for floors, one for ceilings... That the point of making different patterns IMO, for different uses. There are a lot of really good packs but I'm always annoyed about the wood textures being different but with no particular use for it, or the same but that don't match for anything, floors or such, or just for ONE use. Most of them are nice for walls but when I put them on a floor it looks weird.
The vanilla planks textures are maybe too simple and same for all colors, but at least they can be used for everything.
