    I've played this map before when it was fairly new and I gotta say I've had more fun here then on most of the highest rated maps out there! ( No offense to them...) I think It's the freedom of what you can do/go that keeps me coming back and I am very excited about this upcoming update especially if you plan on messing with command blacks to spawn special mods with there own Name, Armor, and Weapons.

    My idea was to set the config like this:

    (Heavy)
    Id=

    (Plate)
    Id=

    So if you have armor issues from other mods all you would have to do is type the id of each item in yourself.

    I believe after from looking at the comments instead of not being able to sleep...

    How about on hardcore mode when you sleep during a thunderstorm you have a chance to have one of the old nightmares spawning a mod next to you attacking you! Maybe have a new rare mob Wraith maybe?

    I am now unable to continue my mods without remaking them. So I have decided to stop making mod until I get better and a new pc.

    Please don't comment telling me that there is a mod for this! I am aware of the mods that have what I am asking here. I just feel that vanilla minecraft needs more weapon diversity.

    Also if any of the suggestion here have been made before don't comment saying so. I am sorry but I am not going over two hundred pages of suggestions to find preexisting suggestion that might not be there.


    Lets get started!

    Armor Mechanics
    Least liked

    My idea is to make each armor type slow you down when you wear it.
    Each piece of armor has its own weight so basically your giving up speed for protection.

    (Please note that the chart below is when you wear full sets of each armor)

    Leather
    Leather would give you a unnoticeable slow because its so light weight.

    Iron
    I would slow you by 2/3 your normal speed because metal isn't light.

    Gold
    Would drop your speed by 1/2 Because its so heavy.

    Diamond
    Would drop your speed by 3/4 less then Iron because diamonds are so rare and should be lighter then iron.

    The weight of each piece of armor in a set would be like this.
    Chest 50%
    Pants 30%
    Helmet 10%
    Boots 10%

    For example a gold chest plate would slow you by 2/4 which is half the slow a full gold set would give you.

    Shields
    Most liked
    Shields would decrease your speed as well but would protect you from projectiles and would block some incoming damage from your front when you hold Right click. It would need its own armor slot for it and would show you holding it in your left hand. Except when you are holding items that need 2 hands such as spears or items that have a right click function like shears or a bow.
    Shields would add a extra 25% so a full set of gold + shield would be a 1/4 slow which is 25% of a full set of gold added on to its self.


    Weapons

    Spear
    Would deal less damage then swords but would have a slightly higher range.

    Dagger
    Shorter range but can be thrown. Deals less damage then sword and even less when thrown. Doesn't work with a shield like a bow because you need the right click to throw it.

    Crossbow
    Basically just a higher tier bow but with no charging time but has a reload time. So you hold right click to load a bolt and right click to fire. It would deal more damage then a bow and would need iron for the ammo.

    Hammer
    Deals damage to armor more then players/mobs and has a higher knockback then swords. This would mainly be used to weaken a Armored player/mob by trying to break there armor. but if they have a Shield ready it will only do damage to the shield.

    Enchantments

    Weightlessness
    To decrease the slow of each armor piece with this enchantment by 1/4.

    Thank you and good idea on the Dagger. I think if you want a bow you should be mobile so you wear leather armor with no shield. So if you had to go kill some player with iron you would be able to move faster than him and avoid him. Unless he has a Shield. This would create unofficial classes. Based on speed, Defense, and Damage Type.

    Here are a few Examples I could see happening.
    Archer
    All or some leather/chain armor and a bow or Crossbow.

    Knight
    All iron with a Shield and Sword or no shield and spear.

    Tank
    All gold with shield any single handed weapon.
    M idea is make gold really heavy but really good at def. Gold weapons would still be bad except gold hammers would have a higher knockback. You could just use a diamond weapon but on the other hand your still very slow so someone could easily just kite you or use a hammer on your low durability armor.

    I have a lot of combos I could come up with including using the potions and enchantments.

    No Offense but if you want Mod makers MCP basically anyone working for free to make stuff you all like Drop a few donations to them and maybe they might pick up the pace. this has been said before but it takes 1000000 time for people to get it I donated 15$ to MCP for their efforts do the same for MCP Optifine Modloader ect ect give them a reason to Work!
