Then learn your way around it! Minecraft isn't so 1 dementional that your only choice is to just die from a creeper, be more aware, wear armor, store things in chests, make repeated chests, place torches, there are plenty of ways!
IDEA! have it so all chests can be broken, and taken, but not opened (if locked) without a key!
You can make a lock with iron then you can right click on anything (chest maybe even dispencer or furnace too) and then it replaces the lock in your inventory with a key, which can only be used on the piticular chest. It should also have some sort of numbering to show that it's a different key or somthing.
I would say yes, with the only problem being that fish is an edible item, which is why notch used wheat and not bread or something. If you can make use of somthing or think of a new item which the squids would eat that doesn't already have a use, than suggest that.
...interesting?
I wouldn't add this into the game where you are just playing it and you look around and see a clone of yourself, and be like "crap, a dopplerganer again?" nah, that would destroy the feel. I think if this is added they should only occur once you've done something specific, I'd give an example but I can't think of one :/
The basic jist of this suggestion is to be able to craft the basic blocks: Gravel, Sand, Dirt, and Clay. I think there should be many more renewable elements in Minecraft, but even more importantly, gravel should be farmable, right?
So, you start out with just some water and stone (or maybe cobblestone instead), and you simply place the water so that the flowing water passes over or by the stone. After a while, the stone will automatically turn into gravel. If you leave it there, the gravel will eventually turn into sand. This is also good because it creates beaches naturally, (which are either sand or gravel if you haven't noticed).
To get clay, you have to place gravel underneath water, over time the water will mix in etc. and become clay!
Not sure how dirt should be craftable, probably either clay or sand with a sapling or seed.
Apple trees and coco trees should definitly be added, but beside that it is really ridiculous to say that we need food you can craft from food. I don't die from not enough time to cook food, I die from not enough food in general (I have this weird save where no passive mobs have spawned :/ ).
I think you should reaaaally have it not effect hunger, which would give an actual good reason for it. Like "I am going to go afk for a while, and when I come back the furnace should be done cooking things".
Well, it's 1. random 2. uneeded? 3. OP, considering that it means it's drops are farmable, and you won't have to mine really (besides the first 8 cobble for a furnace). If it has drops that good, it really shouldn't be spawning randomly out in the open, it should be a boss of a dungeon or something. Most importantly btw, why do we need this at all?
If you think that iron and diamond should be farmable, consider this, pigmen now drop gold shards, but gold is not worth much to you besides railways, since it is terrible armor and weapons. So a single hold ingot is worth less than one iron ingot, and waaay less than one diamond. Since you need to kill more than 9 pigmen to get a single gold ingot, then this enemy would have to be like more than 50 times stronger than a pigmen (well I am forgetting that this enemy is rare, but it shouldn't change much)
...? why have I literally never had problems with Endermen? I don't think it's that much of a problem, you could probably fix your troubles by building smarter. (Use reinforced walls, be generous with torches, add walls or holes around your structuures, build underground or above ground, etc.)
If the point of this mode is to make minecraft easier, why are you trying to balance it?
Also if theres no real penalty for death people will be like, "Oh, I need to go back to home, no problem, I will just jump in this lava", which would be quite...strange...

Also I think you should devise a mode in which you can't break many blocks (only wood, ore and such), mostly for things like custom maps.
