posted a message on Looking for some players on my realm I just started last night.

I just started a realm last night and would like to get some other active players on board for some minecraft adventures and fun, I personally play on Xbox but you can play on any platform I'm not picky I have a keyboard attached to my xbox to chat with people and have fun. I work a normal 9-5 and I generally play a bit in the evenings and weekends, but you can play more (or less) than me I don't mind.

    Game Mode

The game mode is survival hard however achievements are disabled because I used creative mode to add some command blocks and start the nether highway to bases (see below in getting started). I'm not to worried about achievements and wanted to get a good expansive world going without too much fuss but also prefer playing in survival. I am not using creative to build or give myself tons of stuff (my base has a bed and a furnace that's as far as I've gotten lol). The skin used is Chroma Hills, I really like it, if you have any suggestions for skin updates let me know, or custom blocks etc.

I would like to set up some community farm, and even a community trading area where we can share things to trade or for free or whatever.

    Rules

    - PVP is disabled.

    - Griefing/Stealing won't be tolerated, don't build at other bases unless you have permission.

    - Build whatever you want in your base :) It's an infinite world and we set up a nether highway for faster travel between bases, the idea is to spread out, have fun but also not take 10 years to travel between bases and visit each other.

    - Ticking areas can be used for community farms, if you want to set up a community farm (iron, melon, whatever) let me know I'll make sure that it gets set up so it's always running.

    - Creeper free zones are set up at bases to encourage building with a bit less frustration (this uses some command blocks to prevent creepers from spawning in a designated area at your base.

    - Cheating is frowned upon, there are some dupe exploits and if that's your thing I guess that's fine but don't flaunt it as I prefer to not cheat as it takes away the challenge and fun.

    - No (16 or less) kids unless a parent is also playing with you (parents and kids are welcome)

    Getting Started

The seed is 23480840 you can look up on chunk base's biome finder (or load the map yourself in creative if you want) and decide where you'd like your base. After joining I can teleport you to the area you'd like to start your base, and we will set up the creeper free zone, build a nether portal and connect it to the nether highway and if I remember (remind me if I don't) I'll give you a map for your base area. After that initial set up, you're ready to get going on your survival hard adventures with the rest of us :) The idea is to allow us to easily spread out without too much trouble but still maintaining the survival aspect of the game.

    Commands

So far I only have the creeper free zone setup, but I'd like to also setup a single player sleep system so we don't all have to sleep to switch to day, a prevent enderman from griefing command and will also add some command block trading areas for some extra blocks/fences and such that will be added eventually. If you have ideas for other commands that would be useful but don't feel overly cheating let me know I may add them.

Post or msg me here, or message me on xbox my gamertag is Xirath I'll be on tonight and will add anyone interested and help you get you to your base and started.

posted a message on /execute issues

Without access to the entity data you can't at the moment. If/When we get entity data access you should be able to chain some commands (selecting the pig, checking it's health etc..) but at the moment we can't it really grinds my gears because the entity data and scoreboard stuff really amps up the command block abilities and we're missing both.

posted a message on Can you specify placing on only one block COLOR?

At the moment for most block types (including concrete powder) no you can't as you would need to check the entity data to get the sub type of the block. Hopefully we will be getting entity data access via commands at some point like the java version has.

posted a message on Realm villager breader working???

I have one on a realm, I couldn't get any of the trick door methods working, so I just threw down like 60+ doors, but otherwise I have a farmer feeding another villager spewing out babies a lot and it's on a realm

posted a message on Never been so broken!

There are a handful of different designs depending on what you're trying to get out of it but mine is a pretty simple one.

It's a 9x9 farm plot with 2 browncoats and 2 other villagers with carrots planted everwhere except the middle which is a water plot, it's encased in glass and I have a 1 block hole with a trap door on it (not sure the trap door actually helps as the babies don't run off it, they generally stand there and get pushed down by the next baby villager) I then use water to shuffle away the babies into a holding pen until they grow up and then they get pushed off to my loading area.

For the door stuff I didn't have a lot of luck with some of the "trick" methods where you have 6 doors with a single villager, so I just plopped down like 60+ doors with a block on top to count as a roof.

If you are still confused I can try and take some screenshots tomorrow

posted a message on [Help] Editing a skin of a mob

If you are just trying to change the skin and not trying to completely adjust the model, I'd just look at the default skin and edit it directly. if you want to make a higher quality skin just resize the original skin in the vanilla resource pack (textures\entity\pig\pigzombie.png) to your new size (maintain proportions and when resizing use nearest neighbor blending) and then adjust the texture that way.

If you are looking to completely adjust the model to make it look like a different animal I'm sorry I can't help I haven't gotten that far into the minecraft resource editing, just been doing re-textures.

posted a message on What do you think of our redstone support block standard

I think using unique blocks for important builds is a good idea to prevent this I do the same thing, for example my skeleton farm is build entirely out of netherbrick (oh man that was a lot of netherack farming) the idea is if I'm just randomly mining and come across netherbrick I know not to break it.

I do similar with my redstone devices and build all the hidden parts with polished andesite, I don't go into as much detail as you mention about specific types for different meanings but I think your principle is sound that you should always build important structures out of blocks that aren't naturally in that area so when you do see it you know "hey I should totally not break that"

An overworld map will show you your corresponding location while you're in the nether.

I didn't know this, this will make portal linking a lot easier ty. I have been able to do it for my realms nether passageways but it takes some trial and error this should make it much easier.

If your account is a child account it will not be able to play online. If your parents set up your account you will need to talk with them in order to change your account.

^this it is a permissions thing set up with your xbox account it should be an easy fix sometimes they add new permissions that default to OFF on child accounts (like being able to join clubs) that the parents have to go back in and toggle them as on.

posted a message on Never been so broken!

I have a village breeder set up and was working on my trading post last night and they seemed to be breeding I have a handful of the little guys waiting to grow up in the waiting pool but it's possible they where bred before the update and just hadn't grown up yet, I plan on working on some building in that area and I'll pay closer attention and let you know.

I will say that the game can get laggy when too many mobs/entities are around very quickly I afked at my skeleton spawner for 30ish minutes and when I came back it was certianly laggy (but not unplayable) I just had to kill a handful of the skeletons to get it down to normal playable lag (there is a tiny bit of always there lag it seems it just isn't as responsive as the xbox one version yet I'm hoping this will improve).

For notes I play on xbox one, and on a realm if that matters.

posted a message on 4J Villages are broken, please read and fix.

I hope this gets addressed, I had attempted one of Tango's designs once the TU31 update hit because I was so excited, however I just assumed because it didn't work, it was "because console" like several of the other redstone contraptions that won't work or will break especially ilmango's fancy tree machines, I love them but had 0 luck getting a handful of them to work without breaking for any real amount of time (greater than 5 minutes).

Using a hopper mine cart running under input chest and over output chest might work. But still would need to fill slots of chests. Wouldn't be compact though

That might work, though I'm unsure if the speed of the minecart would be able to deposit an item fast enough before it moved onto the next chest, though assuming all chests are full with no empty/overflow chests it would deposit the items eventually.

But you are right in how much bigger it would be.
