Dec 24, 2011I need to get into the Nether and also locate a strong hold..i will have to update my list of chests i have completed.Posted in: Survival Mode
@Kastrel and @Vault:
Do either of you use any of the following?
Any texture Packs or the Random Mob pack?
Dec 23, 2011@Kastrel and @Vault i got everything moved over to the new world and in the process of that I have found a ravine right near my spawn point, however it was covered. I almost fell down into it! So I am getting ready to go down to the bottom and see if by chance an abandoned mine shaft is near by!Posted in: Survival Mode
I just need to get my compass made and then I am off...so I can find my way back again! I get lost real easy!
I will have to update what I have completed for this so far.
Dec 20, 2011Hi everyone:)Great to know on the lava and chests Kastrel.Posted in: Survival Mode
Has anyone found an abandoned mine and then cleaned it out of wood and so on?
I have narrowed down my castle building. Now looking for a good spot!
Debating on the type of material to use. I am not keen on endermen stealing my work!

I was thinking for my vault area, I would construct into a ravine wall so I can use the ledges to walk around to it. Add some decor then some railings and lava up the floor perhaps.
I have not found a ravine in the new world yet...but i have faith. but i do have a nice area that is at the side of a mountain...i am tunneling into it. I am planning on building a castle on top for looks. The endermen still steal blocks correct.
I am looking up to find if i can put my enchanting setup in the middle of my storage area or if it has to be outside.
(I keep rereading..."and lava up the floor perhaps." :smile.gif: No Lava for me!)
Dec 18, 2011i too started a new world...been working on getting my vault area set up. between work and Christmas...well it is taking a tad longer than i would like. I am making it a bit smaller...but going higher up on the walls. Last one was 30x45 or maybe 50. I was running all over the fricking place! It will have a setup of chests in the middle as well. Looking at 25 or 30 by 30. I was looking at a pic of evil hamsters setup and it looks like he has or had a walkway of sorts around it...Anyway...Posted in: Survival Mode
I always gather everything i can.
Dec 17, 2011@kastrel I have taken your empty list and i am updating it for my use. As Christmas gets closer right now I have less time to play. But I am taking time out here and there to do it.Posted in: Survival Mode
@Vault Dweller...do you use Kastrel's list?
Dec 14, 2011Yes it is worth downloading! I love the fact that you have gone to the work of making this and sharing it with everyone.Posted in: Screenshots
I am going to be building a castle in my world....but I so wish that I could find the right terrain for it. I may have to just build that as well. I'm so wish that some of the huge overhangs still generated when making a new world. I could edit it but I would like not to do that!
There was a seed from 1.7 that had a fantastic view and great location. But in 1.0 the same location is a swamp.
1541961902 is the seed number
Dec 14, 2011I have this bookmarked as well. I have been looking for a castle myself to build in my world. But I have been looking at Le Chateau d'Usse. I am using a texture pack that the cobblestone is a plain white block...but the idea of using wool...I may look into that. I haven't fully settled on what castle i will build.Posted in: Screenshots
But you have given me a great deal to work towards as well!
Dec 13, 2011jagualar posted a message on [1.0.0] A seed I like! Good fast start. Snow spawn, Desert Village, StrongholdI too am liking this seed a lot! It has what I call Old growth trees in it. I have been looking and looking for those again, This has so many good parts to it and all the time and effort you have spent looking for things.Posted in: Seeds
Again Thank you!
