im guessing that when creepers explode they damage the whole area from all sides so thats why shields dont really work. Also you could try hitting them to get some distance so you dont take that much damage.
I feel like this would be a great addition to the game but I can only see it like an option.
I understand that it would be a great addition to do some steps between just going from iron armour to beating the ender dragon.
But some players wouldn't have liked the idea so by making it an option to choose when you start a new world it would be fun for both views of the idea
Recently I decided that I wanted to make my singleplayer 1.16.4 world multiplayer so I went and copied the data from the world file to the server.It actually worked, I saw it was the same seed and everything but there was one issue I didnt have my items well basically it copied everything except my player data even though I had copied that with the world file so I didn't have access to my cats and my inventory items so I tried different methods like using the /data command to untame my cats so I could tame the back but it didn't work. Also i didn't change my in game name so there is no possibility for that

if F2 is bound to something else try holding shift and take a screenshot as for the other problem im not really sure
