    Easter eggs aren't usually designed to be useful, so there is no point in asking what the use of it is. It was probably something that one of the programmers randomly decided to do, just for the hell of it. God knows, the amount of programming they did in the update must have been boring as hell. They needed something just to laugh about, most likely, and rainbow sheep did the trick. :P I wonder if the programmer in question was inspired by the Twilight Forest... ;)

    Hmm... I'm noticing quite a bit of lag upon opening any inventory, including inventories that do not work with NEI, such as the crafting tables added by Natura. I never had the lag in the past, even when I had over a hundred mods installed. Did you, perhaps, disable or remove some form of caching system?

    posted a message on Detect player logout and bans.
    I'm making a serverside mod to keep my MySQL server updated about various bits of information pertaining to the server.

    I already have it set up so that I can send information to the server, but I don't know how I can have my mod detect when players log off, or are banned. I would prefer to use events, if possible. I have no code put together to post any progress, because I have no clue where to start. xD

    Any suggestions? :3

    I wanted to install NEI into my Eclipse MCP build, so I can easily check the recipes and whatnot, but following the steps you put about deving with your mods doesn't wanna work...
    1. I have no setup.bat. I assume I should use the install.sh?
    2. It seems to wanna throw an error about the _at.cfg files... It can't find them, even after I put them into my <forge>/mcp/forge/accesstransformers folder.

    Hmm.... From what I've seen throughout my modding adventure (and by "modding," I mean applying them to my client and a server,) Forge might prove of some help to you... Why not try to get a hold of the Forge team and see if anything comes of it? A complete rewrite of the current lighting system will definitely be necessary to implement colored lamps and glass that actually affect the light shining from/through them, but someone might as well get the ball rolling, as I doubt it will see the light of Minecraft's square sun if we leave it up to Notch, Jeb, and Dinnerbone...

    posted a message on [1.6.4] ForgeIRC v1.0.18, Soul Shards v2.0.15, and Recipe Remover v1.1 [Updated 1/1/2014]
    ForgeIRC isn't working at all. O.o I put it in my mods folder, and it never generates a config file or shows up in my mods list (Minecraft main menu.)

    Installing it in 1.5.1 client, btw.

    Since when is this about Forge? I'm talking purely about Tekkit, not about it's contents. I haven't heard anything about Forge having been distributing Minecraft code, and even if it is, that is a completely separate discussion. To be honest, if you're correct, it just works for my argument, not against it. Any other random pieces of information you wish to throw at me, while skirting the fact that Tekkit broke the law?

    Taken straight from the Minecraft Terms of Use:

    Any tools you write for the game from scratch belongs to you. Other than commercial use (unless specifically authorized by us in our brand and assets usage guidelines - for instance you are allowed to put ads on your YouTube videos containing Minecraft footage), you're free to do whatever you want with screenshots and videos of the game, but don't just rip art resources and pass them around, that's no fun. Plugins for the game also belong to you and you can do whatever you want with them, as long as you don't sell them for money. We reserve the final say regarding what constitutes a tool/plugin and what doesn't.


    I would say that a compilation of files that are inserted into the minecraft.jar or zipped up and loaded by a modloader like forge constitutes as a plugin. If you were to write a blog about restaurants in New York every week, and some random person compiled all of your blogs, as well as those of other people, and put them on his/her own website without permission, wouldn't that be illegal? It would deprive you of any money you would have made through advertising (and no, the advertising doesn't break the Minecraft Terms of Use.) I'd say that yes, Tekkit breached the law when the creator released the modpack without permissions of the mod authors. I'm not referring to the leak, but to the fact that he continued to leave the modpack open to the public, ignoring the demands of the mod authors to remove their work from his website.

    Watched DW20's spotlight... Immediately had my friend install it to his mini-server (he has a powerful computer we play SMP on sometimes) and had a basic setup done in an hour. xD Then went onto single player creative and made a 10x10x10 molecular assembler, attached 3 drives worth of 64k storage units, and went nuts teaching it to craft everything I wanted automatically. xD The assembler has 320 pages of pattern storage. :P This is really an amazing mod. :D Good job! I still can't get over the assembler mechanics... So amazing. O.O

It is all ridiculously epic, but my favorite (so far) is the Glowy Bread, closely followed by the void tears/sachels and the Coin of Fortune (though it makes using barrels around ppl annoying, especially since it has a tendency to pull through walls.) I do have a small qualm with the Cloak of Distortion and the Hunter's Handgun... :/ The Cloak of Distortion is capable of teleporting through any number of blocks when teleporting through the bottom of the blocks (went through about 15 layers of warded stone when testing it with a friend) and at least 1 or 2 when going through the side. Also, the buster shot is capable of griefing like crazy at spawn protected areas. Could it have a pex perm node, at least? :P Other than that, I love the entire mod! :D Been using it on a Direwolf20 server I moderate (dw.arckingdoms.com) and aside from a touch of lag from the Cloak and the Buster Shot (when spammed, of course,) we all love Xeno's Reliquary! :D
