Running on a Mac, and this doesn't work at all for me either.
Just like the poster above- I keep getting stuck at the Updating Minecraft screen.
Here's a short video on everything I did from top to bottom. I did try individually replacing each file, and each .class inside the folders, but that produced the same result. Hope this helps!
Recently I've been surfing around different blog sites, and realized that Tumblr and WordPress have a TON of fancy, incredible themes. This got me thinking. Could is be possible for someone to create a beautiful MINECRAFT theme, preferably for Tumblr?
Now, I realize that a user by the name of Tahimaka made a topic somewhere around a year ago about this, but I really wanted to bring it up again, and BUMPing that topic would maybe make it go up to the 2,789 thread. So, with all hopes abroad, I humbly request the making or helping of making of a Minecraft Tumblr theme.
Also, I have some neat-o experiance with HTML/CSS/PHP/etc., so, if worse-comes-to-worse, I'll proudly make my own. But that would be difficult. And I have not graphic design skills whatsoever. Alright, well, cheers.
TL;DR: Can anyone PLEASE make a Minecraft Tumblr theme? Otherwise, I'll be forced to spend all my free time making one, and it only MIGHT turn out good.
PS: Yes, there were several grammatical mistakes and typos in the above post. But, I promise to fix them if you promise to notice them... *wink* *wink*
Recently I switched my server, from running manually on my computer, to running on my brother's Virtual Server. He uses the server for a website, which he programed from scratch using CSS and HTML. The server has been running perfectly, however, when I try using SimpleServer, I get this startiling error, shown below. The server is just the same as if you bought a server online for Minecraft. I believe the term is VPS; the server acts as if it's a computer, and I can access it 24/7 from a terminal window. There is no GUI, and all that I can see is the text below, at any given time. Please help!

After that failed, I realized the problem might in fact be with the memory on the server. So, I went into simpleserver.properties and lowered the memory allocation. Now, this is the main error with my SimpleServer.

Oh, and if you couldn't decifer the above gibberish, here is the snippet of what I believe to be the main problem:
java.util.NoSuchElementException: No line found

Hello there.
I've been running my own server for a couple weeks now, and I have worked on every problem and tweak out there for ages. After 45+ hours spent total on my beautiful little server, I've been trying to convert it time and time again from a Vanilla Minecraft Server, to something much better.
Since I run on a Mac exclusively, this has proven difficult, but on my first attempt I got SimpleServer working. However, since then, that has become unusable on my VPN. I now, just recently, got Llamacraft working, and Runecraft is installed- it just never works.
So, but big question to you modders out there is this: Can someone out there, somewhere, make a simple /sethome, /home, or /warppoint mod that just works through a .class file? My failed attempts at working with these are on a long list, and hMod, Hey0, and CraftBukkit refuse to work at all for me.
Hey, I just installed this on my server and it works like a charm.
The only thing I can't do is make Adminium disappear with Flint And Steel. I'm an OP on the server, and run it myself using a VPN. Is there a command I need to use, or anything? All the command I've seen in the thread (/me, etc.) don't do anything...

Why you should join : I love building and working on Minecraft, and set up a YouTube that has a ton of videos on it. Also, I need something to do in my downtime, when I'm not working on my own server.
How long have you played Minecraft? : 3-6 months, or so.
Don't forget to read the rules! OKAY! ***
After searching for hours on end, I've been forced to create a new thread.
Are there any Minecraft Server mods that can be run on Mac computers? After browsing around the forum for a while, I can't see any organization, that would help finding operating system-unique mods, and the only possible way to figure out if a mod is available on Macintosh is to open every since thread. I've actually done this, for the first two pages of this category, and all of them are Windows.
If ANYONE can help me find a Minecraft Server Wrapper, Mod, or anything that runs on Mac computers too, please let me know.
You guys realize that Minecraft isn't ONLY run on Windows, right?
Please let me know where to find Mac SMP Mods, guys, and don't just moan about Macs or my post. Thanks in advance!
Unfortunately, HTML5 doesn't seem to be working with Safari.
*sad face*
It should work in every new browser but good ol' craptastic IE (though it should work in IE9 beta).
I know the whole thing is pretty pointless, but I just felt that /boo needed some scary cave sounds to go along with the visual style :tongue.gif:
Well, that's weird. Only when I hover my mouse over the pumpkins do I notice anything different than the regular page- no sounds effects or anything. Strange...
Don't you think raging over pure speculation seems a bit silly?
Are you just an angry person, or do you always let potential realities ruin your day?
You must be depressing to know.
Agreed. Somewhat. I believe that his post was a decent way to fill us in on what he's working on, not neccessarily what's to come. But, what I really want to say is this: So many people troll on his posts, and everyone defends Notch. Seriously, I can't say I want to support or attack whats going on right now. He didn't post for over a week, and it looks like the only post he made was adequate at best. I really love the game, and what he's doing with it, but I also love to see new things and better game experiances. He got us into a weekly-update groove, and for at least a month I've found myself continuing to refresh his page hoping to be handed the slightest cookie on what's going on.
Oh yes, I know he's working on making Mojang a reality, and creating a beautiful game, but we paid money- but even more importantly, we expected of him something he is no longer willing to give. People immediately defend him, and I would too, if this nagging disappointment wasn't around.
I hope his blows us all away with the update, but until then I'll have to keep sulking, playing an old game, and get stuck in a loop of refreshing an abandoned blog.
I've been encountering this very unusual problem a lot recently in my main save.
Randomly, as I walk around exploring, I'll come upon a random collection of black squares. I can walk through some of them, and after a while if hitting them they break apart, but don't give me anything to put in my inventory. Also, if I walk into a row of them, and turn around, everything on the outside is a bit darker.
My only guess if that, for some reason, a ton of blocks in my saves are rendering- and I can't figure out why.
Now, since this doesn't really affect my gameplay, I don't need a solution- I just thought it would be a good thing to mention...
I'm uploading a video of the problem now, I'll put it below once it's done.

I like this idea. It give glass a feasible use besides being decorative.
Even though everyone hates digging through sand.
