I just opened up my single player world to lots of friends. Many of them want to build in my areas. While I trust them to ask first if i'm there I'd prefer it to not be an option. I'm currently using Regios for mob spawn control to keep mobs out of my City. Anyone know if I can use Regios to prevent players from adding/removing blocks from a region without permision? The regios wiki page is not very helpful.... Is there's another mod that I can use to achieve the same things (1. No mobs in specific area 2. Players can't modify areas without permission) I'm open to suggestions. Right now I'm using bukkit for 1.6.2
I have run into a problem recently where when I login to minecraftin Fedora 17 I get a blank screen. Basically, I can run the client and login but all I get after login is a blank screen.
And to run it I have run "java -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -cp minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame" as copied and pasted from minecraft.net. I have tried to change 1024 and 512 in this command to be the same (ie 512 chagned to 1024 and vice versa) I have also tried redownloading the .jar as well as getting rid of ~/.mincraft and letting the game rebuild it. I have also tried running this as different users and everytime I get the same error:
[root@excel jesse]# java -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -cp minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame

I know Linux Very well but I do not know what could be causing this. Any ideas? [Note: I prefer to use openjdk as opposed to sun's crap. I /always/ have issues installing Sun's jdk. I've been able to run minecraft with open jdk for years so I don't think that is it...]
I can't think of any other logs, errors or data to pass along but if there is something I can pass along that would be helpful let me know.
I'm not new to Fedora, and I have minecraft working on my desktop (Also fedora) but it does now work on my F17 laptop. I'm running openjdk-1.7.0.9-2.3.3 and my script just runs
$ java -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -cp /path/to/minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame
It brings p the window and I login but after the Mojang screen I just get a black screen. Here's the error outputted in the terminal:

I'm playing SMP and we found a NPC village which we're making our home. (NPC villages = sweeeeet!) Anyway, we need a reliable source of trees. Can I grow trees in a desert if they are planted in dirt blocks? I REALLY hope so.
i hope someone can help me at this point.
i dont want to open new topic.
everytime i reconnect i move wrongly and get back to my house.
why is this happening?using hmod 1.1_02 cuboid worldedit worldguard leafdropper exactspawn iconomy cshop
I found this: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Known_bugs
Search that page for "moved wrongly"
The player on my server that was causing this error did not move over any unloaded chunks but maybe this will help you
Ok try chunkster. Make sure to back up your map before you run it. What it's going to do is delete all the chunks that have been messed up. That will leave BIIIIIIIIIIIG gaping holes in your map. Fortunately a programer who happens to be on my server is writing a script that will copy chucnks from one map to the other from backups. So basically from before they were corrupted. Hope this helps!
I KNOW THE LIKELY SOURCE OF YOUR PROBLEM!!!! AND MINE!!! HUZZAH! I stumbled onto this thread looking for causes to some issues my server was having. You're map may be bad. Mine certainly is. Ok so here's what I did. I did the .bat file trick to run it with more ram. And I get these errors they go by too quickly in the command window to read them but they're java errors.
I started a server with a new map and all my troubles are gone. I'm going to run Chunkster and see if that helps. I'll post the results here.
Also I can't remember if I mentioned this or not but I am getting the "SERVER CAN'T KEEP UP!" error..... Why would a 3.2 gHz computer with 8 GIGS of ram get that?????????
Open GL was screwed up but I've ixed that now... Is there a 64 bit JAVA that I don't have?
It's your Upload Speed. 1 I don't think is enough, try making it go to 2 or higher
Actually that's not been the problem in the past. For some reason the server software is chewing through my CPU. When people are connected it runs both 3.2 gHz cores at near %100. It didn't do that before I installed the new GPU
