As a server owner I find it horrendously annoying when one of the members starts spamming my DMs telling me that they died to a hacker so and so is a hater blah blah BLAH BLAH BLAH. SHUT UP. Im not banning anyone unless you give me some pretty god damn good evidence that the person is a hacker. (this is why my server is now whitelisted and I only allow people I actually know onto it)
Responses in bold. Overall, I would more likely disagree with the general idea, but the additions and features make also make it interesting.
But if I said it once, I've said it again. Mojang does not intend to add any new tool/armour tiers.
I used to say that Mojang said it wasn't going to add anymore tiers, but really is that an excuse. I don't think Mojang has ever implemented a suggestion directly from this page. They have only commented on one the cubic chunks. This page is to vent our ideas so just saying Mojang says there not going to be added doesn't mean they won't change their minds in the future.
SOLUTION 1: Make another type of tree, the apple tree, which has a high chance of dropping apples.
SOLUTION 2: Replace oak with apple trees, removing oak entirely.
SOLUTION 3: Make apples exclusive to villager trading or as an additional rare drop from a mob. Giving apples their own tree would be to OP due to apples usefulness, and getting rid of oak trees is like getting rid of a Minecraft icon.
PROBLEM 2: Chickens lay eggs and give birth at the same time.
SOLUTION 1: When two chickens are fed seeds, an egg is instantly laid. A thrown egg has a much higher chance of hatching a baby chick.
SOLUTION 2: Same as above, except if the egg item sits out for long enough, it will hatch automatically.
SOLUTION 3: Same as one, except chickens don't lay eggs naturally. This would destroy most compact chicken farms if this was added. This would just be to much of a game changer even if it seems super small..
I'll add more upon request.
Would be impractical on servers (since many have world borders, and most that I know of are less than 30000). Both biomes are also tiny (the Southland extremely so) and there's only one of them; I've always despised finite structures and biomes in a nigh-infinite world.
Additionally, only one Corium ingot is actually needed to show enchantments (which is fairly OP; their rarity doesn't justify their power). The whole resetting repair mechanic is fairly meaningless given how simple it is to just make a new tool (and it doesn't even do well with its original purpose, since the tiny amount of Corium in the world will run dry very quickly if you try to use it to repair). A resistance potion is also fairly meaningless, since we're borderline invulnerable as-is.
Not too fond of this.
I am shortening the distance drastically and btw very few servers I have played on have world borders, and you can easily change the border to be more south as well. The Southland is supposed to be small as it is supposed to resemble an Oasis. I was wondering if the desert was too small so maybe I can expand it to 50x50 chunks? I am changing the Corium so that once placed in an enchant table with a tool, that is the only tool that will be able to see all the enchants, and once placed in the Corium is un-removable from the table. Im getting rid of the potion as it gives the ore to many uses and resistance is easy to get with a beacon. Also the resetting the repair would be pretty useful I hate having to enchant a whole new set of tools and waste my time fishing for books that will let me get the top tier enchants (efficiency V, sharpness V, and power V) so I am going to keep that option. Thanks for the critique.
It is supposed to be a lot because You would have to travel far to get to it I will shorten the distance though because that does seem a little far now that I think about it.
This is something I had always thought about, and I think it would be great if Mojang added it . It would give a new reasons to explore.
10,000 blocks South from all world's original spawn there will be a 50 x 50 chunk area of desert, not your typical desert. We will get to that later.
In the 5 x 5 chunk center there will be a new biome The Southland (I am open to changing this name I know it is not very original)
The Surrounding Mega-Desert : In this massive desert, there is 2x the amount of a chance for cactus to spawn than a regular desert. There is also a 4x more chance for there to be a surface lava pool. It follows the same principle of a regular desert of having extra mobs spawning, but instead of 2x the amount of mobs there will be 4x. The entire dessert will be circled by a giant river/moat (this is to make it possible for cold biomes to spawn adjacent to the desert).
The Southland: In the center of the Mega-Desert there will be a 5x5 chunk area it will be grassy and lush kind of like an Oasis. there will be jungle trees and there is a chance to spawn a small pond. Now why would you like to go to this biome, 2 reasons. The first reason is Corium which is just as common as iron and only spawns in the Southland chunks It also has a 1% chance to spawn in dessert temple chests, (this makes it renewable) but it is much easier to find in The Southland. The second reason is the Tower Of Life a thin, but extremely tall tower. There is an 100% chance for the tower to spawn in The Southland. Alike mushroom biomes no mobs spawn in the southland, but they can wander in from the desert, and they can come from spawners.
The Tower Of Life: It has 10 to 12 floors, and a roof. It is made of stone bricks and stone slabs. There is a spiral staircase going up the tower with random slabs and blocks missing from it on each floor there is a spawner containing a zombie.
Floors 1-3: there are 2 regular zombie spawners on these three floors. minimal blocks are missing from the floor and the staircase.
Floors 4-7: Zombie spawners spawn custom zombies with leather armor and wooden swords. A fair amount of blocks are missing from the floor.
Floors 8-12: The spawners spawn custom zombies with iron armor and iron swords
Roof: A giant named The Zombie of death (it is named so it does not de-spawn) spawns here. When it is killed it drops 1-4 diamonds 1-3 emeralds and a random mob spawner. (it can only be zombie, skeleton, spider or creeper spawner) There is also 4 desert temple loot chests.
Corium Ore: This is a simple red ore that when smelted gives corium. If used in an enchant table it will show all enchantments being put on an item instead of just one(NOTE: once played in an enchant table the Corium is instantly consumed and will turn into a pice of lapis the enchantment table will then only show all enchants on The first item placed into it. Once that item is enchanted the table will return to its original state and enchant as normal). Also if an item is un-repareable when combined with a corium block (4 corium in a square like quartz) it will reset that items repair cost from what it would be (it would take into account enchantments and added book enchants separately. So basically it would cost the same as the first time you repaired it).
Odds And Ends: It is impossible to use a nether portal to get to the Southland if a portal is placed in the nether coordinates of the Southland or Mega-Desert it will create a portal on the other side of the moat-river. The Mega-Desert and the Southland are both new biomes and will only spawn in its designated are. If 30,000 blocks away are already generated the structure will generate that distance. The Southland and Mega-Desert do not interfere with slime chunks, monster spawners, and desert temples (they are the same common in the mega-desert as in a regular desert)
Pros: A new reason to explore, finally you can repair your to expensive tools, a new boss fight, a way to get a mob spawner that is not OP
Cons: some people may think a mob spawner is OP. The Desert is extremely tough to get through and so is the Tower.
I put a lot of time and effort into this so please critique as you want I want to make this the best it can be

2046: make a 200x 200 mansion out of cake, sponge, melons, obsidian, and cauldrons (in survival of course)
2047: find a killer bunny and bring it to your house as a pet
2999: mess up the numbering in this thread
3000: get post #3000 on this thread
3001: buy 69 copies of minecraft
3002: make post 3001 make you sound like an 11 year old troll
3003: Bring an ender crystal to the overworld and use it to set off a chain reaction of tnt to blow up your last ever minecraft world
