Please, tell me that /clone can work across dimensions ...
As in:
/clone my base to the nether.
Start over, generate a brand-new overworld in 1.8.
Keep the old nether
/clone my base out of the "copy of the old nether" into the overworld
Delete the old nether, and get a brand new one.
PLEASE tell me this will work :-)
(I'll use the end if I can't use the nether.)
There's no "dimension" argument so you cannot do this in the current snapshot.
However, you can put it in suggestions to add a dimension variable to the "/clone" command.

I didn't understand what he wrote so i replied to what i thought he meant, if it's just the research notes then you need scribing tools, and paper. When you have those, you click on the thing you want to research in the thaumonomicon.
-For previous versions
I believe you click on the aspects until you get a note, not completely positive because i haven't used the old thaumcraft in awhile

Exactly what i was thinking.
Funny thing is, I made everything from KAMI with no flux at all.

Research notes meaning the shards of the discoveries? Villagers trade for them, pechs drop them. i have no idea of any other way

Wouldn't have thought of using slime blocks.
-edit-
You might want to configure it so the players aren't in creative mode and spawn in the place you wanted them to spawn.

Fixed it for you.
You guys have your hopes too high, no mobs or dimensions will be added, they arent code breaking because i can make one myself without causing problems.
I'm guessing from your guy's guesses, Cubic chunks, Dynamic Lighting, ability to change your name, something to do with world generation, and or modding API.
Anyway I'm thinking it's dynamic lighting because of an earlier tweet by one of the crew saying something about a new light source of a sort.

Do you know what vanilla means? It means unmodded, meaning anything that mojang puts in there is vanilla.
If you don't like the updates get off of minecraft and play a different game.
Kids these days, get some update for free and complain about it.

Of course it's not their main priority, the modding community is small compared to the vanilla counterpart, and plus nobody buys a game for its mods. I'm pretty sure that that mod API is useless for all of the non computer versions too (yes i know it doesn't update all versions of minecraft on all systems at the same time)
Exception: Some people buy half life 2 for garrys mod.

The point where it starts. Crops take forever to grow, yet when you have enough chickens they lay an egg every 1-10 seconds.
(I'm talking about in the 400's)

the only reason optifine was delayed was because a big change to coding inwhich MCP uses. Optifine uses MCP to run so if MCP isnt updated Optifine isn't updated

Please note, that on the actual website of minecraft this is in writing under community

Also from the Mojang website, from the terms and conditions, under forum and communications,
Basically, all people saying they stole from mod, Well, they legally have the right to "steal" from mods.

It's new what do you expect from people?
For people to be happy about free updates?
Nah that's unlike everybody.
