Jun 15, 2013Posted in: Minecraft ModsThis mod allows you to mine all the ores in minecraft and obsidian almost instantly (not instantly in case you don't actually want to mine something but accidentally clicked it). It was not designed to be a hack/cheat mod but to speed up the first few hours of the starting a new minecraft survival world , as I found it extremely boring after the 10000th mark. On testing it took less then a minute to dig up 30 coal , 26 iron , 8 lapis and 16 redstone after dropping into a cave with only a stone pick.
Download and installation instructions:
- Download and save the mod somewhere you can find it again
- Unzip the apa.class to file somewhere you can find it again
- Hold down the windows key and press R
- Type in C:\Users\your computer name here\AppData\Roaming then click OK
- Open .minecraft , then bin
- Right click and open minecraft.jar with winRAR or similar
- Delete META-INF
- Drag the apa.class into minecraft.jar
- You will still need the proper tools/tier of tools to mine those ores
- Obsidian is as good as ever against tnt
- This mod will be incompatible with any mod that changes the apa.class file
- durability on tools will go down as normal (which means they break really quickly)

i'm sure people would come up with redstone contraptions that prevent pickpocketing while afkQuote from skybeam_
This would ruin the idea of AFKing, but it would add a nice twist to a server
Jan 21, 2014I was just thinking about how no one carries milk around since it's really dangerous to go to nether fortresses or abandoned mineshaft and you're most likely die and lose the buckets which each cost 3 bars to craft and would be much better used to make a pickaxe. I thought why not just make buckets easier to craft, instead of getting one bucket per 3 bars of iron you get 3 buckets per craft. My logical is that 6 iron equal 3 iron doors, so 3 iron is 1.5 doors and doors are pretty tall and thick compared to buckets so it makes sense to be able to craft more buckets from that amount of materials.Posted in: Suggestions

Nov 15, 2013TragicNeko posted a message on TragicMC mod, tough Bosses, Mobs, Weapons and Dimensions (TragicMC3)Posted in: Minecraft Mods
TragicMC is meant to add more difficulty through content, rather than through modifying core gameplay aspects like other mods. Essentially, it is best to play TragicMC with as few mods as possible although it should be compatible with most other mods.
If you have any ideas, feedback or constructive criticism you'd like to give, you can always post your suggestion here or Private Message me if you don't feel comfortable sharing in the forum.
What TragicMC adds:
- Dimensions that each contain their own biomes, blocks and creatures
- Lots of mobs and tough Boss fights that have their own unique mechanics to deal with
- A lot of items and new blocks, including some interesting weapons and magical items
- A special energy system that allows you to use special abilities
- New enchantments and potion effects to give a bit more interest to combat
There is a Wiki for TragicMC located here, it is still a Work-in-Progress (as is the mod) but it has a ton of useful information that you can use to ease your TragicMC experience. Also shoutout to CommodoreAlpha for his large amount of work done on it. Currently it is only partially updated for TragicMC 2 and the original mod.
For TragicMC 2:
The links here are the only "official" ones for the mod. These links are adflly links, do not click anything below the header, wait until it says "Skip Ad" in the top right and click on that and it will continue to the actual file location.

1. Ensure that you download Forge, TragicMC will not work without Forge. Get the latest recommended/stable build from here.
2. Validate that you have a clean installation of Minecraft, then run the version from the Launcher of the version you would like to play. After that, install Forge and run the same version with only Forge installed.
3. Download the correct version of TragicMC for the version you would like to play and place it inside the "/mods" folder inside of your .minecraft directory.
4. Load Minecraft with Forge and load up a world with TragicMC to ensure of no errors. If no errors are found then enjoy, otherwise post here with your crash report.
Game Crashes or Bugs:
If your game crashes and you think TragicMC is the cause, please post your crash report here and I'll reply to you as soon as possible (I get notified every post so it shouldn't be too long of a wait unless I'm not home). If you need help with getting a crash report or finding the Forge logs, this post, though outdated should help point you in the right direction.
Use of Code and Mod Pack permissions
The code for the mod is available under the GPLv3 License, basically if you copy or use any of the code, credit me, and you can't charge for distribution of the mod if you choose to distribute it (unless you're using my Adfly links, which upholds to the license). You are free to use this mod in any Mod Packs and to distribute it within them as previously stated. As a courtesy, it'd be cool if you could message me that you're using it in one just so that I get the head's up. If you'd like to see the raw code, you can view it on GitHub. The code for TragicMC 3 is currently unavailable for public viewing and is not under a license.
If you want to donate, click here. This isn't ever required but it's nice since I'm spending hours working on this thing for free.
Dec 16, 2013FlamingPigman posted a message on [Recontinued?] Power Gems 0.7.0 for MC 1.12.2 (Updated to 1.12.2/1.11/1.10/1.9.4/1.8.8/1.8)Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Hey Guys! So its been a hella long time but I've decided to slowly bring the mod up to date. Right now I've only got the 0.7.0 vers ready to work for MC 1.12.2 but making the mod compatible for 1.14 and 1.15 may take longer. I'll be skipping 1.13 as that is apparently not very stable for Forge. Stay tuned!
Power Gems were mysterious things that were said to grant one power if used correctly.
Amethyst - Strength
Topaz - Speed
Citrine - Fire Resistance
Peridot - Haste
Sapphire - Resistance
Aquamarine - Jump Boost

Power Gem Of Haste
Power Gem Of Resistance
Power Gem Of Jumping

The "Power Gems" mod adds 7 new ores each yielding their own gem and changes lapis lazuli. Each gem can be used to make their own armor and tool set, as well as their own Power Gem and special tool or weapon!
2.The Mod Content

NOTE: This does not currently stop spiders from jumping and this may or may not work on bosses or other types of mobs. I will try to implement stopping the mob completely in the future!
Block of Topaz
Citrine is connected to Fire Resistance. It is found between the layers of 1-12. Its tools have 2271 uses and its armor values are +1 more to diamond.

The shaderpack has moved to CurseForge !
Old Post :
This shaderpack aims for a high quality/performance ratio on a wide range of hardware.
Unlike other lightweight shaderpacks, this one tries to maintain a decent quality level even at the lowest possible preset; while the highest presets are able to run at around 60 fps on a mid range gpu like the RX 580 or the GTX 1060.
Performance that you could expect at 1080p 12 render distance (default minecraft world) on a RX 480 or similar:
Extreme : 55-70 fps, Ultra : 70-90 fps, High : 100-120fps, Medium : 140-170 fps, Low : 160-220 fps, Lite : 200-250 fps, Toaster Edition : 300+ (CPU limited on a Ryzen 7 2700X)
Performance that you could expect at 1080p 8 render distance (default minecraft world) on an Intel HD 630 or similar:
Toaster Edition : 65-80 fps, Lite : 50-60 fps, Low : 35-40 fps, Medium : 25-30 fps
By downloading, you accept the rules of modification and sharing.
Main download links (14/03/2020) Updated ! V8 Ultra is available : big performance gain over V7 ultra, improved water, clouds, sky, end, nether and much more!
Beta versions (Latest update 19/01/2020)
Older versions : (Not updated) All the officials and betas versions since V4.
1-Be sure to have the latest drivers for your graphic card.
For 1.8.8 and newer:
Shadermod is now included into optifine, so install optifine and go directly to step 5.
Older minecraft versions:
2-Download the shaders mod by karyonix if it haven't be done already :
3-Install forge if you are using 1.7.2
3'-Optionnal but recommended : install optifine
4-Copy ShadersModCore-....jar to %appdata%\.minecraft\mods folder for 1.7.2 and 1.7.10 OR use karyonix's installer for 1.7.5 or 1.7.4
5-Launch minecraft, options->shaders->open shaderpack folder, and copy here the folders "V6-extreme,ultra..."
6-Launch a world, and choose which pack fit the best to your computer (into shaders options).
Recommended optifine settings :
Old Lighting : OFF or DEFAULT!
Vignette : Fast
Clear water : Off for Lite/Low/Medium, On for High/Ultra/Extreme
Smooth Lighting Level : 55-75% for Lite/Low/Medium/High, 0-20% for Ultra/Extreme
Clouds : Default or off
Custom sky : Off even if for some ressourcepack leaving it to On will work.
Maps used in the screenshots :
- Default MC generated map
- King's Landing by WesterosCraft
Modification and sharing:
You may find these a bit annoying, but I tried to make my shaderpack editable and redistributable by everyone when most content creators of minecraft just block modification and redistribution.
Sharing a modified version of my shaders:
-You are not allowed to claim any of the code included in "Chocapic13' shaders" as your own
-You can share a modified version of my shaders if you respect the following title scheme : " -Name of the shaderpack- (Chocapic13' Shaders edit) "
-You cannot use any monetizing links (for example adfoc.us ; adf.ly)
-The rules of modification and sharing have to be same as the one here (copy paste all these rules in your post and change depending if you allow modification or not), you cannot make your own rules, you can only choose if you allow redistribution.
-I have to be clearly credited
-You cannot use any version older than "Chocapic13' Shaders V4" as a base, however you can modify older versions for personal use
-Common sense : if you want a feature from another shaderpack or want to use a piece of code found on the web, make sure the code is open source. In doubt ask the creator.
-Common sense #2 : share your modification only if you think it adds something really useful to the shaderpack(not only 2-3 constants changed)
Special level of permission; with written permission from Chocapic13, on request if you think your shaderpack is an huge modification from the original:
-Allows to use monetizing links
-Allows to create your own sharing rules
-Shaderpack name can be chosen
-Listed on Chocapic13' shaders official thread
-Chocapic13 still have to be clearly credited
Using this shaderpack in a video or a picture:
-You are allowed to use this shaderpack for screenshots and videos if you give the shaderpack name in the description/message
-You are allowed to use this shaderpack in monetized videos if you respect the rule above.
-The download link must redirect to the download link given in the shaderpack's official thread
-There has to be a link to the shaderpack's official thread
-You are not allowed to add any monetizing link to the shaderpack download
If you are not sure about what you are allowed to do or not, PM Chocapic13 on http://www.minecraftforum.net/
Not respecting these rules can and will result in a request of thread/download shutdown to the host/administrator, with or without warning. Intellectual property stealing is punished by law.
Reporting a bug :
-Explain what happens
-Screenshot of the bug
-Give your system specs
-Shaderpack version (number and performance preset)
-If there is an invalid program error send me the end of the console log
-Daxnitro, for creating the original shadermod.
-Karyonix, for updating the shadermod and giving me some help.
-sp614x, for merging optifine and shadermod and updating it.
-DeDelner, for some code parts and ideas of improvements.
-Sildur, for some code parts and ideas of improvements.
-The Continuum shader team, for the extended shadow distance and lens flares.
-Sasukedll7170, for cleaning up a bit my code and some suggestions.
-Alexei03a for the screen-space reflection code.

Have you ever thought that only having two different types of apples to choose from was bland and boring?
Have you had those moments when you wanted to devour all of you worthless diamonds? Or have you just wanted to use all of that luxurious dirt you've been storing away for just this special occasion?
The mod adds a large array of new apples to choose from crafted from many of the materials you can find across your travels in the game.
How to craft: All but a few apples a made by surrounding the apple by there corresponding item, which i think should be relatively easy to figure out in game. If not try out Not Enough Items or another recipe mod. Example: Dirt apple is 8 blocks of dirt surrounding a normal apple
[INSTALL] It installs just like any other forge mod. Easiest method is just using curse launcher!
Proof of Concept:
Before: After: (It is pretty much invulnerability, it just is displayed as resistance one)
What each apple does: (FOR MINECRAFT 1.7.10 ONLY)

Here's Ovo's pack style in his words:The best description I can make of the style I was going for is by showing what's already done. But in a wordier manner, I would say It's inspired by nature, hand-made stuff and fantasy; relatively simple and round shapes with a few details; colorful yet not too saturated ; no flat color plastic looking stuff/always have a bit of natural grain.
Looking for Pocket Edition? JacquesRemy has converted this pack over for us! Their thread is over here!

Oct 14, 2013PlayerInDistress posted a message on Lucky Block Mod - Drops items, spawns mobs, structures and more!Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Lucky Block for Minecraft 1.15.2 is out now! Get it here!
Fixed lucky potion and projectile on servers.
Removed custom loot tables (sorry!).
The following assumes you have an add-on named "Lucky Block Red".
Add-ons should now be placed in '.minecraft/addons/lucky'. However, the old 'addons/luckyBlock' folder will continue to work.
Config is now located in '.minecraft/config/lucky/version-x.x.x'
=== ASSETS ===
....Change variant "normal" to "".
....Change "lucky:red_lucky_block" to "lucky:block/red_lucky_block".
....Change to json format (en_us.json).
....Change block and item name formats, e.g.
........tile.redLuckyBlock.name -> block.lucky.red_lucky_block
........item.redLuckySword.name -> item.lucky.red_lucky_sword
=== DROPS ===
Change IDs to 1.13 format - no more 'damage' value.
Change NBT tags to 1.13 format where necessary (e.g. display names, books, signs).
Use #randSpawnEgg to get a random spawn egg ID.
Use a dot '.' to specify particle arguments (e.g. 'block.dirt').
Use #json(...) to easily convert Lucky Block NBT syntax to JSON (and #jsonStr(...) to escape all quotes, useful for custom display names).
Use the 'state' property to set block states (in Lucky Block NBT format).
The 5th property for each block in .luckystruct files is now an NBT tag in the same format as 'state'. Numbers can still be provided, but will have no effect.
Change structures to Minecraft's new .nbt format, using structure blocks. Old .shematic structures will continue work, but some block states may be invalid.
Rename 'lucky:LuckyProjectile' to 'lucky:lucky_projectile'.
=== OTHER ===
Use 'showUpdateMessage=false' in the properties.txt file to disable update messages.
Compatibility (updated entity IDs, use "lucky:LuckyProjectile")
Updated Add-on Generator and Template Add-on
1.9.4 & 1.10.2
Minor bug fixes
Added updated 1.9 AddonGenerator to to fix model changes in 1.9
Added #chestLootTable() for specifying a chest loot table, e.g. type=block,ID=chest,tileEntity=(Items=#chestLootTable("chests/simple_dungeon"))
Added #customChestLootTable() for specifying a custom chest loot table in .json format, replaces #chest()
Added #randPotion and #randSpawnEgg, which give a random potion/entity name, replacing the #randPotionDamage and #randSpawnEggDamage random ID (since these are no longer used by the game)
Potion particles now use the name of the potion with the 'potion' property (e.g. type=particle,ID=splashpotion, potion="poison")
Combat Update (1.8-1.9)
Added support for Lucky Items in Add-ons
Added Add-on Generator for easier Add-on file generation (See below)
Added support for single int/byte arrays (Syntax: array=23:)
Added #motionFromDirection(yaw, pitch, power)
Added #bExactPos and #pExactPos
Added #ePos and #eExactPos
Random delays now work
Added special effects special_fire(duration) and special_knockback(power,directionYaw,directionPitch)
Added range, target(player, hitEntity) and excludePlayer to all effects
Added structure blockMode=air
Hash variables in NBT drop tags are now automatically cancelled ('#'), no need to do this manually, and [#] can be used to prevent auto-cancel.
What is the Lucky Block?
The Lucky Block mod adds just one block, yet over one hundred possibilities to Minecraft! Just mine the Lucky Block, cross your fingers, and hope it will drop the items you need. But now, with this new version, you can expect more than just items; The Lucky block can spawn animals, monsters, other entities and even structures! From giants to fireworks, sticks to diamonds, the Lucky Block will give you an exciting experience every time you mine it.
Drop a huge variety of items
(But no Ender Dragons for sure!)
Spawn other entities (Fireworks, for example)
Make Structures (What could possibly be above you?)
Gold. Think about it, there isn't much use for it really. There's no point wasting your gold on tools, swords and armor. How many clocks do you need when you can just look at the sun. And if you need gold nuggets to make potions, all it takes is one gold ingot and you already have nine.
Do you wish there were better things to do with your gold? Or maybe if you could exchange it for something else? Now there's a block that makes gold worth mining. It's called the Lucky Block, and can be crafted with 4 gold ingots and a dropper, and can also be found naturally in your world. When you mine this block it will have an equal chance of dropping items, spawning entities or structures.
WARNING: If luck is not on your side, this block may have devastating effects on you or your world. It is recommended that you backup your world, use an unimportant world, or go hardcore and take the risk!
Taking away luck:
Items that can be used:
~ Add ~
Diamond Block: 100
Emerald Block: 80
Gold Ingot: 6
Iron Ingot: 3
Iron Block: 30
Golden Apple: 40
Enchanted Golden Apple: 100
Nether Star: 100
~ Subtract ~
Rotten Flesh; -5
Spider Eye: -10
Fermented Spider Eye: -20
Poisonous Potato: -10
Puffer Fish: -20
Downloading and Installing
Download the Lucky Block from the official website: Download Here
Requires Minecraft Forge. Simply download with the link above and put the file (without extracting) into your mods folder. Download Minecraft Forge here (the installer is recommended): http://files.minecraftforge.net/
Add-ons are user-made additions to the Lucky Block. They add new types of Lucky Blocks with different features. The latest version fully supports add-ons, and provides a Lucky Block add-on folder in .minecraft/addons/lucky_block. If the add-on supports the latest version, simply place it in that folder.
If you are an add-on creator, refer to the documentation for information on creating a custom add-on. You are also reminded to not post your add-on on Planet Minecraft. Below is an example of a custom add-on. This is only a template.

Coterie Craft is a "neo-faithful" texture pack determined to bring Minecraft the textures it deserves, while preserving the iconic feel of default's textures.

For over 10 years Coterie Craft has used ExtraNoise's Quandary Texture Pack as a base. Since then Coterie Craft was given full rights to the author's work.
Coterie Craft has evolved into a unique package of its own with the help of our team members, Ganlolde and karst who continued the pack around 2013-2015 when I was busy as well as myself for expanding the pack to future updates and an HD release.

(Basically the history of it all and a little bit about myself)
It all started with the Quandary Texture Pack, created by ExtraNoise, he set the baseline for this pack. ExtraNoise was quite big within the texture pack community, widely known in the days of Minecraft Alpha for "sprucing up the default textures" and his assortment of seasons, by which changed the grass and foliage color to look coherent to the designated month and/or season type within the year. He would also contribute some of his textures to Rhodox, author of the Painterly Pack, such as the feather sprite to name one. But not too long after I got my Minecraft account, awarded through an honorable mention in the 2010 WoM Halloween Contest, I felt that his textures could be improved upon, or to at least have them look good in my Minecraft.
Thus, in the late December of 2010, was born the Best of Quandary Texture Pack. It wasn't much to be honest, but it had a purpose. Apparently ExtraNoise became unresponsive by this time, updates in his pack no longer came... and I decided to step into the scene to some degree. Bonemouse, a major contributor to Quandary for his outstanding mob textures (currently the author of his own pack, Isabella), supported my work, even if it was made rather simply through the basic mechanisms of "copy" and "paste." But then again it wasn't all that bad, I did some recoloring and knew how to apply smoothness... so I guess it was an 'OK' compilation at the time. Again, bonemouse was supportive and so were other members within ExtraNoise's thread on the Minecraft Forums, I respectfully gained supporters over time and met many great contributors as well as nice people, no longer on the forums now, but dearly remembered.
To mention one of these people, with varying fascination towards each one of them, Morgus was the first to comment on my topic. But what was almost ironic about the matter was that ExtraNoise sponsored one of Morgus' comments as a kind of technique in presenting one's own content with words outside your own; he said, "Love it! [...] Many subtle changes while preserving the original atmosphere." Morgus then says to my pack, "Nothing to improve imho. I am using this with great pleasure." (probably using this version at the time) So I was kinda proud to have that initially positive feedback from the get-go. By this time I had already created my own quandary-style armor models based on the sprites that Quandary had... and it was a good update; bonemouse approved.
Another person I'd like to mention, Axapez! He, along with many other contributors, had presented me with honest, unrestrained and well-appreciated, constructive criticism that helped this pack grow to greater demand. Eventually we joked about this "Axapez standard," whereas he would always have something to say for the better improvement of the pack, always giving me something to do as it would seem, and it was this standard that many appreciated when I upheld it, especially Master7432 and i_r_everyday_azn.
As more and more improvements were made, the Best of Quandary Pack became less of a compilation and more of a revival of Quandary, considering ExtraNoise was gone for such a long time. The pack was then called Quandary Reborn, but the name was only fitting for so long. Eventually many of my old-time contributors began to fade, but new contributors came in the process, for whom were many fans of Quandary. ExtraNoise also came back after such a long time, and later incorporated my armor models into his newer version of Quandary, but with much unwanted change, such as his new cobblestone, it had many of his fans find a distaste in the newer Quandary and sought to it that Quandary Reborn would retain the old Quandary as they remembered it.
My edits to the pack were entitled towards preserving Quandary, at least to the eyes of those who found my pack with much expectation, then to their disappointment. While many of my long-time contributors looked for ways to improve their Minecraft however way they felt necessary through the constructive criticism that they have always offered, my pack grew apart from the old Quandary look that many had desired and continued to take on a more independent role in fulfilling the needs of others who wanted an improved vanilla Minecraft look, so to speak. Two factions came out of this situation, but there was a way to resolve it. The name Quandary Reborn was no longer an accurate name for the pack it was, for it had grown more independent as I kept pouring more of my spin into the mix by making all kinds of edits to it's original foundation; all to their liking. Names were debatable at the time, and I tend to be very picky when it comes to names, but we found one that fit. The word "Coterie," by definition, was to represent a group of people who shared a similar interest, such as my fellow contributors at the time, then the word "Craft" was traditional generic for a texture pack name, but it fit nicely when it came together - Coterie Craft.
As was the new and current name of Coterie Craft, established in the early March of 2011, fully independent from it's original counterpart with a goal to provide a more revamped version of default by improving the appearance and fervor of Minecraft, the Quandary name, on the other hand, is still a good one but has often been forgotten and aged due to my pack's similarities and surpassing success over time. Since then ExtraNoise's work has been expanded on but not forgotten as the torch as been passed to a worthy successor. What was once a low effort remix pack that was supported by the community and the original author has become a beloved franchise of different orginal packs that provide something different to the player. Moreover, I hope this excerpt on my pack's history will serve some justice in providing evidence to the past and well-being for the future as ExtraNoise's former vision is expanded on.
Sep 6, 2012Posted in: Minecraft ToolsWhat is MCreator?
MCreator is software for modding Minecraft without programming knowledge (mod generator). It's very simple to use, and its concept is easy to learn. With MCreator, you can make your own mod as you wish. Making new blocks, items, achievements, new types of existing blocks, mobs, biomes, foods, tools, plants, machines (and more!) is possible with MCreator. You've probably never seen a mod maker with so many features. After creating a new mod, you can share it with MCreator's community so other users can use your mod, comment, give you ideas or join with work on your modding project.
