No you don't know more than most people. You've so far proven you're an idiot. A Phenom II 1100T will not outperform any i7. On very, very specific benchmarks it will beat a hexacore i7 but I've only seen one benchmark that shows that.

No, you don't have more experience than most people. An i7-980X has a higher IPC than a 1100T so clock for clock it will beat it.

Yes it is rather basic. When I first heard of A+ certification I went and took one of their old tests and passed on the first try.

You know nothing. Get off the forums.

    1. you a hater
    2. bs the A+ is far mor difficult than what you think
    3. clock speed isnt everything AMD proved that with the Athlon vs Pentium 4 battle
4.you just proved your and idiot and
    5. you dont know me and im smarter than you and no i wont get off the forums becase a little baby tells me to

They are overclockable, just not as much as the sandy bridge model.

As for everyone else: i3 2100 vs phenom II X4 955
    i5 2500K vs Phenom II X6 1100T

I think we all know who lost this battle.

well 1 thing i did leave out and forgot to mention ADM is better for gaming and intel is better for other prossesses so its all up to gaming pc or evryday taks pc and most of us will go with GAMING!!!!

You don't have to be the best speller. But hell, when people own something they are a huge fan of, they usually know its name.

ehh just some typos i wasnt thinking as well as i should have (gamer rade i guess) but i know its name

Yet you can't spell Athlon or processor?

A+ can be nice for your resume, but last time I looked it was fairly basic.

maybe my spelling might not be the best but lets see you try and get A+ certified its not as "basic" as you think

    Oh really, a i7-980x (6C/12T) can't outperform a AMD <insert name here> CPU? What ARE you smoking?

obviously your the one thats cracked out like i said i have more computer experiance than most on this site and yes the Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition will out perform your i7-980x PoS as i said your just buying the name when you buy intel prossesors

Not to be rude, but have you even used intel CPUs?

Anyways, a i3 can beat the latest and greatest top-of-the-line AMD CPU in many areas, so I highly doubt AMD will be able to defeat Intel any time soon.

ok for starters i have a year worth of A+ training so i know more about computers than most people on this web site does and my AMD Athalon II 450 x3 3.2ghz prossesor can out perform any i3 and the penom 2 hexacore can outperform any i7 so shove it. and yes ive used intel and i get best performance from AMD

No. Their lower-end Bulldozers will be 4 cores, and the high-end will have 8 cores.

    @Battlekid
Ivy bridge won't be OCable, so... AMD wins.

    OP
They should be at par with Sandy Bridge, and thus will be cheaper, due to AMD having a noticeably higher performance/dollar ratio.

the 16 core bulldozer is a server prossesor

** AMD releases BULLDOZER! It's super effective!

    ** Intel releases IVY BRIDGE!

** BULLDOZER falls off of the IVY BRIDGE! BULLDOZER receives over 9000 damage!

    ** Intel WINS!

    ^^ Seriously.

ok you obviously dont know about computers amd is what made prosessors what they are amd shut intel up with their athalon seriese (a 2.1ghz amd athalon could out perform a 3.2 ghz pentium 4 prossesor) amd prossesors are built for GAMING. and they are more cost effective. if you buy an intel prossesor your just buying it for the name.
