I dont think the title "secret doors" really fits. theres a window, so you can see a hole and it reveals theres a door. or is this a new part with no pics, doors w/o windows
it's spelled purposely with two e's, read the thread to know why. See hidden doors if you want secret doors.
update to 1.5_01 plox! I want to use this in my new LP!
Also, I think a door would be epic for seecret doors too. (Yes, sEEcret not secret. There is no one around in SSP to discover and thief-grief your storage room.)
I like the name, it's going in the OP :tongue.gif: as for the stone door i can do that, but please read the OP for why it hasn't been updated.
I decided that since I can't replicate this harbor, I'll just try to make it as close to final fantasy as possible. I added a Spell Tome shop there in the right.
The blue outline is the castle boundaries where the magenta outline is for Cornelia. It's on a 1:2x2 scale and that red line is the center from the harbor.
very nice, I too have an update, more doors is out for 1.4.01
Thanks, I am doing this in 1.5 cause meh. I will await a doors mod hopefully. Do you have any kind of IM we can talk more quickly? I wanna show you the harbor so far since I am doing that first.
i am a frequent on the minecraft irc, the rooms i go to are #mcp-modding, #risucraft and i'm a op in #risucraft4kids. My sn is headless.
I think I'm going to test it. Oh, and like CreepSheep said, bookshelf door would be cool! :smile.gif:
Question: Does it use ingame textures or cutsom?
custom textures, if i used ingame textures it would be incompatible with texture packs, which kind of defeats the purpose no? As for the bookshelf door, not a problem, but would there be windows? That's really the only thing that sets this mod apart from hidden doors, which does have bookshelf doors without windows, and frankly it doesn't make too much sense to me to have a bookshelf door with a window BUT if you guys want it then sure, not a problem.
I have no idea why it's incompatible, this mod directly requires modloader and changes no initial classes, as such this should be compatible with all modloader mods as well as many non-modloader mods. Thus, it is not my responsibility to make it compatible, but his. If you give me an error report however, i may be able to help you more.

I cant wait for this mod to update. I will wait in mc 1.4_01 becouse of this mod
Heres some diamods for ya
Edit : i have some ideas for you : Netherrack doors, Growstone doors, Wool doors and finally sandstone doors
shouldn't be too hard to add those, the wool will be a b**** because of the way it uses IDs. As for glowstone and cactus, they won't currently share the properties of the blocks they come from (light and pain). I'll work on that in a future update
If you like this mod or would like to see more, comment so that this thread stays alive (and so I know you want to see more)
If you tell me a problem with no error report, you are likely to be flamed and or trolled (with no help given).
I have been very ill lately and will be very slow in updating this mod. There is more to come, but I ask that you please be patient.
READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE ASKING ANY QUESTIONS, actually read it twice just to be sure.
Yep so there's more doors now, much respect to TehKrush who has hidden doors, but these have windows (which was the whole reason I made this mod) :tongue.gif:
It's a standard install, but I have a video now!
in English:
Special thanks to (i believe) zombiepigcreeper for making the vid. (let me know if i'm thinking of the wrong guy)
in German:
Special thanks to GamerTubeTV for making this vid.
Most of the recipes are obvious, the new types of doors can be seen below
Very top row: hidden bookshelf
Next row down: windowed bookshelf, stone, snow, gravel, grass, snow covered dirt
next row: brick, cobblestone, obsidian, mossy cobblestone, wood, glass
Bottom row: (left) netherrack, soul sand, glowstone, iron (inner) cactus, gold, dirt, lapis luzuli, diamond, bleeding obsidian (right) wood, tnt, sandstone
Recipes
for Cobblestone, Obsidian, Mossy Cobblestone, Wood (uses raw wood, not planks), Glass, Cactus (raw cactus, not the other stuff), Gold (ingots), Dirt, Lapis Luzuli (blocks), Diamond ( ), hidden bookshelf, smooth stone, gravel, netherrack, soul sand, glowstone, tnt, sandstone, snow (blocks). The original doors are unchanged
for Bleeding Obsidian. where is a lapis luzuli block and is obsidian
for windowed bookshelf
For grass covered door where is a sapling (no guarentee on how it reacts with the new sapling system, if there are errors let me know)
[] []
For snow covered dirt door where [] is a snowball
Compatibility
This mod uses block IDs 202-225 and item ids 714-737.
It does use the block Ids, however these are changable. The item ids will always be the block id + 512
The blocks will not appear in Too Many Items, but may in other inventory editors.
Alright so a lot of people have complained about the More Stairs being incompatible. It's not, it just uses all of the same block IDs as I do (and more) so for either his properties file or mine, change all of the numbers between 202-225 to different IDs. What IDs are free can be told by using any Inventory editor. If you don't have enough IDs (they only go to 255), you can disable (in my mod at least) an item by setting its ID to 0.
Properties
There is now a properties file that allows you to change THE BLOCK ID that the slot uses, with further testing i found that they do use the block ids above, it just doesn't appear in TMI. If you are having issues with compatibility with ITEM IDs, then the blockid+512 is the item id and you can change it appropriately. Set the value to 0 if you just don't want the door to exist (both the block id and the item id will be eliminated). Otherwise, the value has to be between 1 and 255. Obviously this doesn't leave a lot of room and i'll do further work to simply eliminate the use of block ids. Below (in code) is a list of what each property points to.
Add vines/leaves, wool (requesting ideas).
There is a texture bug that needs fixing.
Cactus hurting on collision.
Note: It turns out because of the default door code (which i'm not changing) I am unable to use sub-ids. I have however added a fully functional properties file that will have to suffice.
Special thanks/Credits
Mr_okushama for helping me with condensing my code
pattym for making some textures for me.
rykazz for being a good bug tester and offering up good ideas too.
changelog
v0.31 fixed a bug in 0.3.... i hate bugs >.> Also i changed the recipe for the bleeding obsidian door to be more door like
v0.3 A rather large (from the coding point of view) update: added properties. and glowstone doors actually give off light. There is incompatibility issues with older versions, so bewarned.
v0.2 updated to 1.5.01, added 12 new doors
v0.1 released with 12 doors for 1.4.01
Like the mod? Other than adfly revenue (which trust me isn't much) i work for free. I'm a high school senior to be college student (paying my own way) and dammit i need money. So you can donate.

Welp. While waiting for WordEdit and SPC and FancyItems and the Minimap to update to 1.5_01, I decided to start on the terrain work. What do you think so far? I still need to rough out the edges better and add some more materials. I am not sure exactly if i should let Minecraft populate the map with random trees and lakes and wildlife. Thought I will add trees according to the map, should i just keep those trees or add more?
I am thinking of doing the Minecraft populated one. Looks more real and I could always add tunnels through the bedrock walls. Also, I am lucky the bridge ports were not too dense with trees. All I have to do now is reflatten the area to put Cornelia and the caste in-game and also make a clear path from the town to the harbor.
What do you think?
Wow that's really well done, good job :biggrin.gif:
However 1:4x4 would allow for more detail. But would everything be realistically big?
also, while im here, where did you download the ROM for FF? I wanna play FF2 on my pc. Windows XP SP3 btw./
A 1:4x4 would be huge, likely too unrealistic, 3x3 might work but the fact that you're dealing with an odd center could cause problems.
google final fantasy 1 and 2 dawn of souls rom, you should find a lot. and if you're looking for a save file that you can freely explore to build without having to play through the game, look for gameshark snapshots.
Oh damn, I forgot about ROMs. Ahhh, I was just playing my FF1 grinding my party past lvl 55 since i have done everything including beating the last boss with my lvl 40 party, i just went back and Now i wanna get them all to lvl 99. I MAY have glitched my party to have the best weapons and armor though :|
BACK TO MINECRAFT i plan on reverting my MC back tomorrow , or atleast making a backup MC to play 1.5 on and start on this project tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully with WorldEdit, I can do the long tedious parts easily. Was scaling hard for you? Like, did you make every 1 sq = 2 minecraft square/blocks? I was contemplating making a 1:1 scale but the detail would suffer and I am at a loss at how to edit textures correctly. I know how to edit them in Photoshop Cs5 and zip but it never seems to work for some reason.
Oh yeah, I'll be using WorldPainter to make the terrain first.
1:1 is impossible, i'll tell you that flat out, 1:2x2 works for the most part, but there are places where i had to compromise, still it's turned out rather well. As for the textures, i use gimp.
Hey guys, there's a site being complete assholes to modders and making money off our mods. More info in the OP.
Lol faggot.
We haven't made any money off your mod. Your mod wasn't even posted.
Grow the **** up.
I'm going to go ahead and say that it's very adult of you to steal things without permission and then try to make money off it with little to no credit to the creator. Frankly if you make any money people would have a legitimate case for theft of intellectual property for commercial use against you. Regardless however you have yet to yield to a respectful request to remove the mod.
So no, you grow the **** up and start acting like an adult.
Well I foolishly updated to 1.5 so all my mods became non-existent. Luckily, I backed up my jar sometime yesterday. As for the big doors mod, is there one for 1.4_01? Because I am reverting back till
And Yeah I will post pics here when I get the terrain I want.
oh and I actually have FF1 for my PSP so i don't have to look at online pictures for references, makes it easier for me, I suppose.
PS: What texture pack are you using?
I'm using an FF1 rom, you may want to consider that as then it's right on your computer, very useful for me as i use two monitors, though if you don't the PSP may be better. As for big doors, i'm making it myself, and i'm starting with the 1.4.01 jar, so it will be there. As for texture pack, i'm using fancy pack as a mod, which involves it's own textures and the like, i also edited the fancy pack textures to my liking, otherwise i'm using the default texture pack, though i'll probably be doing more editing to it further along.
Most mods won't be updated until the end of the week because of what assholes people were last update demanding mods from risugami and 303 and the like. so for you, 1.4.01 is the way to go.
