First of all, I would like to say that I really LOVE what you are doing here. I've been watching Pokemon since I was 3 years old, got cards when I was 5, and a GameBoy when I was 8, and despite how long it's been, I still love the Pokemon series and games, I understand how large of a project this really is, and I really like to see Pokemon in Minecraft.
Anyway, I was wondering if the Pokemon spawning works right with the Minecraft spawn limit, because it's pretty hard to get Pokemon to spawn. I have tried sitting in one spot for a while, as well as walking around a lot, and they are very rare, plus I only find about 2 at a time. I AM using Biosphere 1.8 from Risugami's mod pack as well, if that matters. It seems like maybe Pokemon don't despawn or something, even when you haven't been in that biome for a long time? I don't know, honestly. It's not unplayable, but it is a nuisance, and if it's something you can fix, that would be greatly appreciated :biggrin.gif:
EDIT : Also, it seems other mobs have stopped spawning as well.
I was wondering if anyone could make me a Gary Oak skin?
I looked on skindex, there was only one, and it was kinda bad.
I don't think I can really do anything in return, though. :sad.gif:
I personally don't have an XBOX, but I'm gonna have to see how this works with Kinect.(Youtube to the rescue) Hopefully this will kill that dreaded Fortress Craft.
You would have to change your terrain.png and make everything invisible except for that ore. The X-ray texture pack makes everything but ores and mob spawners, (and certain blocks) just outlines, with the texture of that block so you can still recognize it. You could start with one of those mods and then start doing the same with every texture but the ores you are looking for.
EDIT: You should probably backup your terrain.png first.
I know everyone has already said this, but definitely check out some mods. Mo' creatures is pretty good, so is the Humans mod, and there are a lot of things you can build in freebuild servers, especially with Zombe's fly mod. Sprites are really fun to do, and aren't hard. There are some pretty interesting things you can do with Redstone, check that out on Youtube, some people have even made animated sprites with it.
You could host your own server and invite friends, which gives you the ability to customize however you want, and show it to your friends. Even with about 10 people, only uses a few hundred MB of ram, and doesn't even slow me down much playing other games while I run it.
(I hope you have actually TRIED MP)
You can check out some texture packs, I recommend the Castlevania, Zelda, or HD texture packs(you need a patcher for the HD ones).
You could check out some adventure maps too, some are designed for the texture packs.
The game is probably only boring to you because you don't have a very big imagination.
EDIT : Also, I'm not suggesting anything here, but weed is a possible solution. (looks left and right)
Because if you buy it while it's in beta, you get the full game when that comes out(= full game for less money), which isn't much longer. Plus the game has a huge fan base, and the ability to customize your character, and build whatever you want, is great. Besides, it's not a glitchy beta, and 2.5 million other people made the same choice.
Tell him to try it, before he talks crap, and also, you don't have to pay every month, like you do for Rift.
Besides, Notch said that beta is really just a label, and even when the full game is released this year, there will still be updates to add more to the game. Even when I bought it in Alpha it was great.
Just put some redstone dust all over the carpet if you want to make it look nicer, or use Cactus Green or Brown, to give it a nice earthen look without it looking dirty. You should make it a little bigger, and do what others suggested, like using logs and such in places where wood doesn't exactly fit in. It's a decent house, but it's nothing special. Good luck.
