As well as Nether Rack. should prob be Nether Rock.

No, The Rack in Netherrack refers to The Rack as in torture, it is not a mistake.

I myself don't quite like the idea of currency, that's why I added them needing a certain thing (Dwarves need wood, Goblins need ores ect) I don't think it fits in. A barter system fits in perfecly with minecraft.

I dunno, sounds good and all. But, Humans being s "Kill all that moves" race dosent seem like a good idea, for starters they attack the player. Why? The player character is a human.(I think) And it just seems that you couldent bother too finish writhing something up for the humans? Earlier on you mwntionws them being violent cave-men, the PC(Being Human and all...) Builds amazing things, such as castles, forts and elaborate traps.I suggest that you have a re-do for the human race. Other then that, you have my full support.

Haha,I'm going to flesh out the Humans now, but i still think they should be the "Kill everything that moves" race because that's what cavemen did, kill it, eat it, sleep in its fur(or hide).

NO NO AND NO. Guns and minecraft just don't mix, if you want guns go play COD Because minecraft is set more in a medieval setting than western. And don't be pricks, while its true guns don't kill people, they are invented solely to inflict pain, so anyone in possession of a gun can very well be a murderer.

HEAR ME OUT! I know there's posts about NPC Villages already but mine is different to all the rest!

Well, we all know Notch wants to add NPC villages in sometime, but I really don't think it would be exiting to have just one type of village and be done with it(Notch said goblins are a possibility). It should be a lot deeper than that...

    Villages

All villages are different depending on the race that inhabits them, but all have these things:
    Merchant stall for trading
Town hall with the really rich guy
Random houses with chests that you can loot at your own risk.

    Different Species

I'm thinking Goblins, Pigmen, Dwarves and Humans. They should all have their own back story(Who they hate, what they like, what they're good at ect.). Also, they should not be friendly to everyone, oh no. They should also have two different unique traits. Here's a closer look at the individual species.

    Goblins

Goblins would be a wealthy, suspicious race. They are expert crafters and covet shiny, valuable ores more than anything else. They are very clever, and use you to their own advantage. They should be short, 1.1 blocks high (Character is 1.7) and are mortal enemies with Dwarves. Their first unique trait can be unlocked by trading them a gold block. Their first trait is Redstone tools. Redstone tools would destroy blocks of their type by injecting a powerful pulse into the block, shattering it and all possible resources within(Means that if you use a Redstone pick on a coal block it is destroyed instantly but doesnt drop coal). They have 50 uses, but do not break like other tools. They simply need recharging. You recharge a Redstone tool by placing it in the middle of a crafting bench and surrounding it in Redstone. The second unique trait is unlocked by destroying a Dwarven village. The Goblins present you with a book that when right clicked shows all crafting and smelting recipes in the game.

    OVERALL INFO:
Trades you tools of all types.
Trading it iron, gold or diamond is best.
    Special #1. Redstone tools.
    Special #2. Crafting book.

    Dwarves

Dwarves are a friendly, rich race and are master miners. They live underground and rarely surface, so they are always short of wood. Their first unique trait is unlocked by trading them 64 logs(or 256 planks, you don't have to do it all at once). The first trait is an infinite oil vat. You use a bucket on it and you get a bucket of oil. When oil is poured it goes 6 squares then stops, and when the spring is reclaimed it disappears as fast as water, leaving a dark stain on whatever block it was poured on. If you set that stain on fire it will burn for 10 minutes. Also, oil can be used as a furnace fuel lasting the same time as lava but smelting things twice as fast! The second trait is unlocked by destroying a Goblin village. It is a drill. The drill is a 2 block high placeable block ( O.o ) if faces away from you when you place it. When you right click it it comes up with a menu. It has block slot and a "Drill" button. In the slot, you must place a fuel source, Lava or Oil. When you place it the "Drill" button can be pressed. when pressed, Writing comes up saying charges: and a number, 2 or 4 depending on what fuel you used, Lava=2, Oil=4. Also, In the direction that the drill was facing 10 or 5 depending on the fuel blocks will have been destroyed. Lava=5 Oil=10. The drill can be pushed around for drilling.

    OVERALL INFO:
    Trades you ores and stone.
Trading it logs, planks or sticks is best.
    Special #1. Oil spring.
    Special #2. Drill.

    Pigmen

Pigmen are a peaceful, gentle race that does not like violence of any kind. They survive by farming, but are too wary of monsters to venture into caves to mine coal. They will ply you with bread, pumpkin and seeds if you trade them some. They are cautious of humans, as the ones that inhabit your land are primitive cavemen that are keen on violence. The first trait can be unlocked by giving them 32 coal ( Not at the same time). They will open the gates and allow you to farm on their land. The second can be unlocked by going into a humans town, finding the town hall and steal all of the weapons in the chest. After that they will give you a pig spawner.(lawl)

    OVERALL INFO:
    Trades you seeds and food.
    Trading it coal is best.
    Special #1. Farmland.
    Special #2. Pig Spawner.

    Humans

Humans in this strange land are not advanced beyond mere urges, though they are easily manipulated to your own ends. They have not mined past the 3rd rock layer and do not have the tools to mine iron. Their first trait is unlocked by trading them something excluding logs, planks, sticks, workbenches, wooden tools or coal. The trait is flint and stone, a cheaper alternative to flint and steel. It has less uses but the ability to be crafted in large amounts reduces this to a mere annoyance. The second is, obviously, gained by slaughtering a Pigman village. It is a sling, something crafted by leather and cobblestone in this pattern:

    :RFlower: = leather

    :RFlower: [] []
    :RFlower: :cobblestone: :RFlower:
    :RFlower: :RFlower: :RFlower:
Slings used cobblestone as ammunition. it does the same amount of damage as a bow.

    OVERALL INFO:
Trades you anything that can be found of a killed mob and slings when unlocked.
Trading it swords and any type of mineral is best
    Special #1: Flint and stone.
    Special #2: Sling.
Also, I will redo the Human race if I get another comment on them being cavemen.

Thats Pretty much it, PLEEZ COMMENT :biggrin.gif:

    No. Just no.

Think, if you fly a plane to your base and see a skeleton, what do you do in Minecraft?

You stab/shoot it with your sword/bow.

    That doesn't work.

Starcraft has SPACESHIPS AND ALIENS. If you want things like that, go there.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT HAS MAGIC. If you want things like that, go there.

MINECRAFT HAS ORES, ZOMBIES, MINECARTS AND DIY HOUSES. If you want things like that, stay here.

(This thread is in the Starcraft category.)

I can see the similarity between this and SplotchBlock, but I prefer this. I dont download texture packs anymore because I play with modded tools and it looks slightly out of place.

Pretty cool, do mobs and items have new textures?

Well, when I was about 5, My family and I were on a forest tour thing. We had to walk across a rope bridge, my dad went first. But halfway across it snapped and my dad fell down into the water underneath. lucky he swam back, but he broke his wrist on a plank. We sued the company that gave the tour. I will never walk across a rope bridge again.
