Will it cause any problems with two players?

That shouldn't be the case, no. :) The map is perfectly playable with any number of people.

It's quite an old map though, and I haven't tested the map in 1.9 or 1.10 yet, so it might actually be broken in those versions of Minecraft, sadly.
It would probably work best in 1.8.

    Woo! 50,000 Downloads!

Though not much has been happening for half a year, somehow the download count just kept rising! Thank you guys so much for playing!

Sequel? We'll see.. If I ever make another map, the way things are right now, it would probably be a sequel to this. I have a couple of ideas written down.

there is a gold block on the start island. If you step on it should you get it =)

When I played it yesterday with my sister, we kept getting the elytra removed and then added to our inventory in a way that made it impossible to fly. :(
We were able to almost fix it by having one person standing on the island while the other one flew.
Also, when one of us failed an got teleported back, we found it a bit annoying that the other player had to start over too.

Overall great map so far though, I don't know how long you've been spending on it, but it's great for what it's worth. Escpecially december 2nd was great in my oppinion (not so much in my sister's). ;)

    Glædelig jul!

Great map so far, i've been recording this as I play it and I hope you like my first part! :)

Hmm.. There are supposed to be item frames at the shops that tell you the prices of the items. I don't know what went wrong there, but hopefully it doesn't hinder your experience too much. If you accidentally put in too many coins you can always take them out again. :)

Finally getting back to this, it worked just fine in 1.8.8 with the extra patch I noticed you added, and it was a lot of fun! Nifty redstone mechanics and puzzles, it reminded me of Professor Grizwald and the Redstone Keys if it were made in a newer version taking advantage of all the cool stuff you can do now with command blocks.

I wonder how many other people noticed if you shoot the sheep heads it baa's. That was a nice touch, how did you do that?

Hey there! Glad you got to play!

As for the Professor Grizwald comparison, I think the puzzles in the map could be considered sort of classic.
Pretty basic and straightforward - just like all maps were back in 2011. :)
People also say it reminds them of Legend of Zelda, and I think it's for abut the same reasons.

About the sheep heads, sorry to say, but it's really nothing fancy.. I'm not testing the data values of the blocks the arrows are in. It's just a row of command blocks /kill'ing any arrows at the specific coordinates of the different heads, and then outputting a signal for a row of /playsound command blocks.
I don't recall how many hidden heads there were though. :)

posted a message on Help! Stopping fireballs using entitydata

I'm trying to create an area in which any fireball (ghast ball) will stop moving by using this command in a fill-clock:

    entitydata @e[368,64,412,dx=0,dy=3,dz=2,type=Fireball] {direction:[0.0,0.0,0.0],Motion:[0.0,0.0,0.0]}

The contraption almost serves its purpose, however, when I shoot a fireball into the area it will seem to glitch out, slowly moving in the direction it went before, but glitching back and then repeating untill I disable the clock.

At this point I'd like the fireball to still not be moving, but as soon as I turn off the clock it continues moving untill it hits a block or a player.

As you can see i tried changing the fireball's "Motion:" tag as well, but with no apparent difference.

Is this impossible to achieve or am I doing something wrong. I can't seem to find a lot of info on fireballs online.

Hoping some of you clever folks can find out what's happening.

I uploaded the first episode of this map, but forgot to post it till now. So here the video :P

Nice video. The audio seems a tad weird at times, but it's no big concern. Hope you'll solve the yellow puzzle eventually - It's a little different than the others in that you have to find a tool first.

Great map build and game play however im stuck at the red puzzle room and have absolutely no idea what to do

The pressure plates on the floor raises the lava behind the windows. You have to get the lava in all three windows to the red/orange line. The easy way is to start with the left one, then the middle, then the right one. This unlocks one of the locks to the treasure room, which you'll get to see later in the map.

I have released yet another update to the map, this time dealing with a serious flaw that a couple of people have been unlucky enough to encounter, in which the clock powering virtually the whole map stops after being unloaded. There are also a few minor fixes and tweaks to make the overall experience better.

Also, looky here what this guy, Martin Sears, made back in 2003!

You might find it "interesting" after playing the map. ;)

I'm glad you had a good time. Looking forward for the video.

I have one problem, I followed the rules, but none of the popups appeared, anything that should have moved would not move, the teleporter would not work, and the secret rooms would not work. So I can not play this map. D: It looks fun though.

Add on to that i am in 1.8.3 on single player MC.

Unfortunately, a few other people have had that exact issue. It's because of a fill-clock getting unloaded. It will be fixed as soon as i get the time, which means sometime next week. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    A possible fix would be to start the map as a lan-world with cheats on, then write in "/setworldspawn 0 100 0" and lastly "/tp @a 2000 100 30".

I like puzzles the most, but adventure might be easier to come up with ideas for.

Also, this is not a map. Please post things like this in the discussion forum. :)

The map hit 10000 Downloads last monday, after the Yogscast did a video series on it. That seems to me like a pretty impressive accomplishment! ;)

Thanks for playing and making me proud of myself.

Here is the first episode so far.

    Thanks for playing and recording.

I enjoy your take on the map, as I actually tried designing the puzzles to be easy enough to be able to play the map with my younger sister. :)

I tried playing this map in 1.8.1 and half the redstone magic, like command block text appearing and fireballs shooting out of the floor, wasn't working. I know 1.8.2 changed virtually nothing but the only other thing I can think of that could cause this is optifine? I had that installed. I tried turning it off but my fps dropped to 5 and the map was still borked.

edit: Nope, it definitely isn't optifine, I used a new fresh save with vanilla minecraft. Your map isn't working in 1.8.1, despite nothing that I know of of significance changing in that patch.
The reason why I recommend using 1.8.1 or above is that the /gamerule "doEntityDrops" doesn't work in 1.8 and some people were stealing items from item frames.

I think what's gone wrong is that the clock powering most of the command blocks has turned off due to its chunk getting unloaded while you played. I was hoping something like that wouldn't happen, but since another guy posted the same issue yesterday, I guess I'll have to try and fix it by moving the command blocks to the spawnchunks (which i should have done from the get-go).

    I apologise for the inconvenience.

    It isn't working for me

There are no particles( I have them on), nothing is moving or doing anything and I don't know why

Help please it looks awesome and i want to play it

I'm sorry to hear that, i have an idea of how to fix it that I maybe should try to implement. The problem is that the map is working for me, so I won't be able to tell if it fixes it.

If you want to try and fix it yourself, I would try putting myself in creative mode and finding the command blocks in the bottom of the hollowed island. Around x:0 z:0 there should be a pressure plate covered in barrier blocks that'll maybe fix your problem when you step on it. Not sure though..

    Thanks for posting the issue.
