What is your name (or nickname)? James
    What is your IGN? grimarchangel
    How old are you? 26
Have you read the rules, and will you be able to follow them? yes
How often should we expect to see you online? 2-3 times a week, 2-3 hours at a time minimum
Will you be able to join our forums? yes, though im not much of a forum poster anymore.
What are you looking for in a server, what is it that keeps you around? i like building things, especially with redstone, i have a long term goal of an "everything" farm.
Do you have any questions or concerns about the server? none, reviews look solid.
Do you understand that the IP will be messaged to you after your application is accepted? yes
(optional) Tell us a little about yourself? ive just recently gotten back into minecraft with 1.9, i mostly enjoy creating farms for things and redstone doors/elevators, but ive been wanting to actually build things that look nice for the first time, and to me there is little point in doing that in single player where no one will ever see it unless i make a youtube video, which im not going to do. so here we are.

seed: 7481592603 (use the num pad to do it ) MUST BE AMPLIFIED!

you spawn on a flat plain with a few hills around you.

then you sit there for a second and let the terrain spawn, and you see this.

    then you get closer and:

a little to the left of that far left waterfall is this cave. its decent size, has no splits, and dead ends pretty quick. pretty good for a starter home IMO:

this is a better view of under the outcropping that stuck out on the top-left of the second pic:

the mountain on the far right in this picture ^^
is the mountain on the far LEFT in this one:

the snowy mountain that makes up the left side of that picture, has this hole in the top of it:

which if you drop down, leads to this underground area, the likes of which i have never seen:

(torches in the last one added for depth perception purposes)

now, the hole in the 7th picture, at the back of the cave, leads out to this area:

the underground area is through the small hole underneath the large dark area to the left of the picture. that large dark area is another big overhang on top of the underground area.

as you can see, i could go on and on, and i have never, in my entire life, wished i had fraps so bad. go explore this thing, neither pictures or my fail descriptions do it any justice at all.

You should both be banned from this forum for your disrespect and crap attitudes. Eloraam has a life, a job and (probably) some sort of family to be part of. Xeno has the same. And if they want to leave and never update their mod ever again, too bad. They are both still alive and still real people on the other side of a computer out there. There is no reason to be mean to either of them. Eloraam created one of the best all-inclusive mods to date, and for some reason she has gotten the biggest backlash for having a life. She shouldn't be demonized, she should be immortalized.
To "Eloraam" is to leave on top, above the rest.
If Xeno were to leave right now and never return he would be regarded as one of the best mod makers.

So yes, if he left it would be "eloraaming" because they both left as some of the most creative and best mod makers that Minecraft will ever see.

    +1 rep.

real life > video games, no matter what, and it will always be thus.

Nah, Zero ain't trollin, he's an old friend of mind. Ever since I got my job, it's been really hard to bring myself to update, and STAY up to date. Also, and I'm gonna be honest, there are some items I either wanted to do away with or drastically revamp.

I didn't mean to neglect you guys, and I'm sorry that it's come to that, more or less. In a way, I feel like I can't "compete" with some of these great mods and modders. They had or have a great deal more skill and devotion than I do. Once I started coding for a living, my work became my obsession, the way EE used to be. I burned out. But I'm willing to come back, there's a lot of stuff pulling me back to minecraft right now and I DO intend to update. Give me some time guys, and I'll try to be more available.

I don't mean to be a complete tease. It's a holiday weekend and I need a good project for the evenings. I've been thinking lately "I should pick up modding again, I miss it". So the IRC paste wasn't a troll.

I will try to give you guys some timeline over the next week or so to see where we stand with updates.

And again, I'm sorry for all the dead air. I hope you don't think ill of me for it.

advanced coding and advanced concepts may make some mods seem like they might be "better" or something like that, but nothing, not a single damn thing, will ever compare to the original EE in my eyes. that was, and always will be, a masterpiece. the sheer imagination put into that mod, i havent seen the likes of since. ive seen other mods built entirely around concepts that were founded in EE, and would have been easily realized if you had kept going with it. i also have to appologize to you for sort of vanishing when the things were really getting good. i can assure you, it wont happen again, and ive had a long time to refine my idea box, and before too long i might even delve into some coding myself so i can just give you a working model of an idea, instead of a 3 page long novel of what it does, how its made, etc.

You sir are an arrogant something that I can't say here...

Don't expect any help from me either, sorry dude.

If you want to be so arrogant, you'd best smarten up, and figure out an answer to your question yourself.

Wow ... people like you make people like myself and Eskimo that do our best to help people, on our own time, unpaid, just because we care about the community, and are kind enough to share just want to walk away. No care for others what-so-ever...man alive!

Eskimo, I got your back dude.

i did, and it was a very simple answer, which made me slightly more confused as to why he had helped 3 other people while ignoring my original post. but it matters not. didnt need your or his help, and i wont be coming here for anything else, i can assure you of that.

and when i saw someone tell 3 other people things to try that end up providing nothing, over multiple posts, when he could have helped me with a single sentence, i got a bit angry. excuse me for being human and reacting as most do.

I have had the same issue all the way up until i tried the newest optifine version to load glsl. Not sure if it was that or the new shaders though

well im all up to date, and its still happening. any advice on settings maybe?

    Quote from EskimoNoise

Oh I'm so very sorry, I didn't realise I was legally obliged to answer every question that's asked on here, and that I'm the only capable or allowed to answer. Also you posted that little rant at 6am GMT guess what, not everyone lives in Americaland.
Use shaders, don't use shaders, throw your computer out of the window, makes no difference to me.

considering that youve been pretty much the only person answering questions from anyone for the last several pages, i thought you would be the person who knew what might be going on here, but evidently i was wrong, so i will wait for someone who knows how not to be excessively rude and actually wants to help me with my problem instead of showing off how much of a jackass they can be. i wont be speaking to you again, so have a good day.

now if anyone BESIDES eskimo has any input to my problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

you know eskimo, flat out ignoring people when they are asking for help is really insulting and makes them not even want to bother trying to use this.

went back a few pages and got the most recent update, went back a further 30 and havent seen anyone with this issue.

ive posted my specs, screens, and i dont know what else to do, ive messed with every in game setting there is, and nothing fixes this. its a game ruining experience for me. this will be my last post if i dont get some sort of reply, and i will likely just give up on shaders entirely, which is not something i want to do as i really like them - until i go underground.

ive had a lot of the same problems as damashki (in particular the blackened water) and one more problem: when i am underground, and the sun sets or rises, i see the effects underground, no matter how deep, and it seems to be at random.

    EDIT: also im using RC6

    specs:
cpu: AMD 1050T hex core @ 3.5 ghz
    gpu: ATI Radeon HD7950 3gb
    16gb ram @ 1666 mhz

ill quote my post since it seems to be being ignored, anyone have any idea why this happens, or how to fix it? it happens to a certain degree with any shader i use, RC6, RC7, Kryppox, chocapics, everything.
